Yes I had noticed it did this by accident the other day. I really need to look into a better midi setup for my rig, it's all a bit bodged together at the moment.
What’s with the sarcy comments? Clearly a lot of synth/sequencer snobs out there! I’d also be happy playing around like this for hours! There’s so much fun to be had with this generation of Behringer clones 👍🏼
Exactly what I thought, also. There might be thousands of people watching this video that have no clue about sequencers. This feature might be pretty common, but it's still a cool feature - shown off here in an enthusiastic way. This vid might inspire some kid to get into synths. People need to learn to think outside their bubble.
It’s because it feels a bit like clickbait. The title suggests some new or interesting approach to the poly d’s abilities. No one minds that you’re having fun with the sequencer.
Yes you can, there's a tempo knob for it. It doesn't give you a bpm readout though so you have to do it by ear. The whole synth is incredibly analogue like that.
My only thought would be, that if you have a decent controller keyboard already, get the model d. The poly d is such a big physical unit that it's almost a bit annoying to deal with
I didn't forget. I shoot my shorts just with my phone camera as a conscious aesthetic decision, as they feel more like live snippets rather than a produced final thing. If you check out my long form videos, you'll see they have much better sound.
None at all I don't think. It's been remarkably stable. My biggest issue with it is that oscillator 1 is much quieter than the other 3 and I think as a whole the output of the synth is quite quiet compared to other things I own.
Check out some other videos on my page. There's a recent one I did about drones in the poly D and I'm about to shoot another poly D video, pairing it with the Bastl Kastl Arp
A lot of us probably clicked because we thought we were going to see some super obscure function of the synth lol Either way it’s not a bad vid though.
Hate to be snarky… but wtf. Basic synth sequencer. Behringer is so criminal too. No wonder Moog had to bow down to inMusic. You prob don’t care anyway.
All you synth snobs, move along with ur corny comments. This is the kind of thing I want my kid to come across and be inspired to have a go and learn something new- maybe even be inspired to create something amazing. The whole point of this, is for those that maybe don’t know- especially the youngens. Great work, keep it coming 👍🏾
I can't believe I can sequence things with my sequencer. Wow.
I don’t know a sequencer could do this 😲
That’s literally what a sequencer is
He said his favorite thing is.., and proceeded to demonstrate everything
Hardly everything! I played the arpeggiator and twisted a knob!
And the Behringer will send MIDI clock when the sequenzer is in use so you can synchronize a drum machine. The Poly D is a very nice synth. 😊
Yes I had noticed it did this by accident the other day. I really need to look into a better midi setup for my rig, it's all a bit bodged together at the moment.
Functions as expected.
Woah.🤯
Well with Behringer you never know if it will function as expected
On the run kicks in
Totally! So much Floyd stuff can be made on this thing.
Why r ppl being so rude lol. Sounded pretty cool
People just like to hate I guess.
Step sequencer for the win! Definitely a handy thing.
Is it a step sequencer or an arp? I honestly don’t know the difference
What’s with the sarcy comments? Clearly a lot of synth/sequencer snobs out there! I’d also be happy playing around like this for hours! There’s so much fun to be had with this generation of Behringer clones 👍🏼
My thoughts exactly! Why can't this all be a bit of fun. But silly really.

Exactly why I make these videos. Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.

And after this video they will still have no clue. 👀@@martattacks
Wow, the arpeggiator can do arpeggios, this is groundbreaking
I know. This short is a gift that keeps giving. Please check out the rest of my videos, there's some good ones in there!

Slow clap 👏... You've successfully demonstrated a very basic sequencer function. 🎉
I know right. I'm so cool
@@decibelboy83that was very cool indeed!
@@decibelboy83You've done well Anakin
I need one of those. I'll come over and get it. Don't be home!
Ok I won't but my large dogs will be. Good luck!
Oh guys, you both are SO funny!
Yeah thats whst a sequencer was created to do.
I know. This post has gotten way out of hand!
Such a great value proposition, I keep nearly buying one, now the prices have dropped hmmm
It is great fun, it is very analogue though, which is fine, but a bit of a learning curve for me when I first began using it.
@@decibelboy83 zero presets forces us into creativity, it’s the same on my Matriarch, I love it
That is very true!
Nice! Can you set the tempo in the Poly D arpegiator? Thanks
Yes you can, there's a tempo knob for it. It doesn't give you a bpm readout though so you have to do it by ear. The whole synth is incredibly analogue like that.
I could spend the rest of my life , fiddling with the knobs on a synth.
Agreed and better to play with my musical knobs than my other one. Also you can fiddle with your musical knobs in public and that's fine.
I like this 🙂
Thanks! Please subscribe to the channel if you wanna hear more!
This is Squarepusher
Definitely gets to that vibe sometimes.
Now I know how to program by poly d. Thanks
Any time!
Does the deepmind have this record function?
I'm not sure to be honest with you. It would be listed as sequencer if it did
Deep mind is better as it has patch memory. Not having patch memory on the poly d is a big limitation.
Can't believe it can do what?
Sound so good!
Thanx for sequcer 😂
No problem 😊
god i want to buy one now
My only thought would be, that if you have a decent controller keyboard already, get the model d. The poly d is such a big physical unit that it's almost a bit annoying to deal with
Now thats a syn! ..the Behr needs to chill with all these sweet machines. I was just looking at deepmind 12D and now ive gotta juggle
Yeah I keep seeing the new ones they're bringing out and think ooh do I want that one now?!
😂😂😂😂😂
That's the sequencer 🤦
Yes I know. I'm just leaving it as arpeggiator now to see how many decide to tell me this. I'm up to five people so far
@@decibelboy83 I aspire to be as chaotic as you one day 😂

Such a great bit of kit.
... this is pretty normal functionality for a Sequencer (that's not the Arpeggiator you're using). What is it exactly that you can't believe it does?
Well mostly I enjoy that it makes people like you make comments like this!
he can’t believe a Behringer product works is what he meant.
Sequencers gonna sequence 😁
Very nice and gritty. Is this the moog subsequent 37 clone?
No I think it's a clone of if the model D. It's good fun. I'm yet to actually use it in a track, but it can make some awesome noises.
any issues with it going out of tune?

99.99 % of synth owners never produce a song.
That is true, I however have multiple albums released on Spotify and Bandcamp so I don't fall into that 99.9% thankfully.
Wow the comments are bad
