ive owned a 767gx the last 10 months, its got the 2mt,6mt and 70cm, awesome radio, bought it blind as they say, nothing but great reports on the audio and signal on all modes, I loves this radio, didn't pay a kings ramsome for it either, when I bought it the fella didn't know it had the other 3 modules added, he throught it was just standard HF, he only just had it, mega happy with it,cant wait to take it mobile for DXing, HAPPY DAYS

Thanks so much for that run-through overview! It's just what I needed because I just bought a 767 which will arrive in a few days. You really helped acclimate me to the rig quickly!!

I owned the entire station except the 2 meter and 70 cm modules . It was a pretty nice setup !

@barry brown, it's really easy to make your own cable, if you mean the jumper between the tuner and the radio. Just a short piece of good quality coax and 2 uhf connectors.

Thanks for the video. I have an FT-767SX. I think these 'Sierra X-ray' models were Japan domestic market only. No antennas yet.

Still using one with the 2 meter module. I get excellent audio reports using Heil Pro Series headset. Only problem I have had is my fan is noisy, but have one ready to install.

I just got a 757GX this weekend - it's a great radio! Does anybody have an antenna cable for its antenna tuner, the FT-757AT, by chance? And what do you do for a slipping tuning knob?

plasma display ????? that radio was made way before plasma was invented its a crystal display

Wow. You REALLY must not have payed much attention in your high school physics classes. 7-segment plasma display tubes (which is what this FT-767 display is) are as old as the first calculators from the early sixties. And plasma discharge tubes (florescent lighting or TL lighting) were invented in the thirties of the last century. So this is NOT a "crystal" display (presumably you meant liquid crystal display, abbreviated "LCD"). It appears you confuse the term "plasma display" with modern TV display technology. And indeed, TV plasma screens were invented in the nineties. But those TV plasma screens (display if you want) are just a larger, more complex version of the good old plasma display shown on this Yaesu radio.
