- The Atlanta Falcons should try and bolster their pass rush with the one remaining spot on their 90-man roster. Host Aaron Freeman and guest Dave Choate (@TheFalcoholicLive) discuss why they think veteran free agents like Tyus Bowser and Justin Houston could help bolster their pass rush in 2024. They also discuss the four recent additions made by the team in edge-rusher Bradlee Anae, safety Dane Cruikshank, tight end Ross Dwelley, and wide receiver Dylan Drummond.
Later, they discuss the Falcons three rookie defensive linemen: Ruke Orhorhoro, Bralen Trice, and Brandon Dorlus to set expectations for how they might impact and produce in their first NFL seasons. They also discuss if Michael Penix is a shoe-in to be the team's backup quarterback over Taylor Heinicke, or if they might keep all three. Penix has to be number 2 but I also believe that they will have packages where both Kirk and Penix are on the field together or some for just Penix alone out there
Why are we not considering Yannick? He had an average season last year but he’s still a quality pass rusher

How could not name KIRK GOING BACK TO MINNESOTA that is the #1 Game not to mention Kirk vs Mike Zimmer in the DALLAS game ... Steelers is the 3rd and Washington is the 4th ... then TB then NO then Chiefs
I would cut Lorenzo carter and sign Justin Houston& sign Yannick Ngakoue with the final roster spot
what if Kirk is playing at a PRO BOWL LEVEL in 2 years? how do you dump a Pro Bowl QB for a QB with an 80 per cent to bust... makes no sense to do that other than trying to save face for a lousy draft pick choice (not player choice)

@@tejshdesai5031 then why did you sign him? you will not recoup the 100 million wasted on him via a draft pick - what if he sucks you won't be able to trade him - only 2 teams had interest in Kirk last time he was a FA and only 2 teams had interest in Kirk this time no guarantee ANY team will be willing to trade for him no draft pick you get will make up for 100 million wasted ALSO if he is playing good how can you trade a top QB playing good for an 80 percent chance of a bust ... if Kirk plays the next year or 2 years you will NOT KNOW IF PENIX is a bust or not because 80 percent of QBs bust from 1st round - the reality is even Love looked like a bust half the season what if Penix is a bust the whole season and Kirk goes somewhere else and is playing at a a pro bowl level --- the reason doing both the Kirk signing and Penix drafting is exactly because it can not work out there is no way it works out there is only 1 way which is a million to 1 shot and that is Kirk wins a SB despite not being given a starter at #8 and then developmental picks in the draft ... and somehow the team still wins a SB within 2 years AND THEN KIRK WOULD HAVE TO GET A CAREER ENDING INJURY during the SB or decide to retire and then Penix would have to play and he'd have to be good because if he sucks you still wasted #8 pick but it won't hurt as much since you won a SB -
