I think those are cool, but if I got one I’d rip out all those active pickups and stuff and I’d load it with some PAFs. I’d switch the knobs to amber historic knobs and gets some hip shot or kluson keystone tuner buttons. 58’ that thang. The binding and the finish is really nice. Inlays are a little extra but looks nice. For $600 more you could get a real Gibson though, like a late 90s early 2000 Gibson explorer will sell for $1400-1500 if you’re vigilant. That’s what I paid for mine. The 76 reissues are getting pricey though.

I just ordered A FireFly X for my channel to review, and these look like the same thing with some subtle differences.

The pickups are the first noticeable difference. The Epiphone has active Fishman's and Firefly has passive. I have 3 Firefly explorers and one Westcreek. 2 of my Fireflys have active EMGs (James Hetfield set and the other has 57/66) and they outperform the Epiphone all around.
