Played this amazing piece for contest in 1986, under the amazing direction of Bryce Taylor from Alice, Tx. He was an director. Our Honors High School band was composed of members between the ages of 15-18yrs of age. Difficult piece he patiently guided us through.
A surprisingly clumsy performance that seems as though was put together with insufficient rehearsal time. Fairly surprising in light of the many other amazing performances by this ensemble/director here on RUclips.
My new dream--to play this! I'm unlikely to ever be in an ensemble with the requisite instrumentation, though.
