13:32 - 14:24 Is The Most Beautiful Part! The first time I heard this symphony was at a concert and I remember feeling like Tchaikovsky had literally captured the feeling of love in one single minute … I just love it!
The brass at 12:34 is one of the most elegant and powerful parts of any symphony. It is done superbly here. Many a performance ends being "thin" but this parallels Yvgenny Mravinsky's performance with the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra.

I have done a class report using this performance and its is very good. It was difficult to write though as I kept getting distracted by the emotions in the piece. What a wonderful performance filled with emotion.
The greatest symphony of his. I rode in outdoor ferries back from refugee camps in Hong Kong with the spray of the water wake bouncing to the beat of the third movement in my Sony Walkman…
Indeed i did this on my ipad. Music is the strongest form of magic, a powerful force. Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without. I wish you a day of bliss and abundance🕊✨. My name is Yukino🌹.
Always thought that the 3rd movement's feeling was borrowed by several movie composers. (Can we say _Adventures of Robin Hood_ ? _The Mark Of Zorro_ ? )
Living in South Africa until 2001 I was given the 1812 overture record by my father at the age of 12.He had another copy in his cabinet. As a child I treasured the record and played it on my little portable record player. I studied the piano and really loved Tchaikovskys music.
I played this for my oldest soldier before he was gone. My boy Obi who was with me this whole time. They said dog was man’s best friend But he proved that cats can be instead ❤
I really enjoyed this performance. Wonderful sounding orchestra and steady, precise conducting from Maestro Janowski. Really passionate without being saccharine. I especially noticed how "together" the orchestra is in its attacks and dramatic outpourings. I especially appreciated the tam-tam player in the last movement, who made his single stroke count and didn't minimize it or cut it off but let it continue to reverberate into space as it expanded along with the orchestra.
A typically fine interpretation as to be expected from Maestro Janowski. The few minor losses of intonation and precision don’t detract from the overall splendour of this great masterpiece.

This is "Symphony No.6 in B minor" rather than "Pathetique Symphony". I am not disappointed to this performance. Besides I do not disparage this performance. When I listened to this music, I might have an excessive preconception because of a title to " Pathetique" . This is slightly different that I expected. However, nevertheless, I listen to this performance repeatedly. Once again, again, once again…. Now I enjoy this performance heartily. Bravo! I send gland applause for this splendid performance.
When a situation in life happens to have to care for heavy ill person you love and every day is a painful struggle to her to ease her pain, music is the only healer to regain some energy for a next day and to find more strength to live with such a situation. Thank you for all postings.

Just saw this performed in Boston. Sadly, the crowd (or much of it) erupted into applause after the third movement. Understandable, given its power, but a rare faux pas for a Boston audience, in my experience. But nothing could diminish the brilliance of the performance and the conductor and orchestra were given a lengthy standing ovation at the conclusion.

Exceptional performance by all the musicians and the director. Thank you!
Bravo! Tchaikovsky was a genius and all these musicians are prodigies. Masterful conductor! So beautiful!
Die Flöte ist unglaublich! Ein schöner Klang, der gut ankommt! Bravo!
I have done a class report using this performance and its is very good. It was difficult to write though as I kept getting distracted by the emotions in the piece. What a wonderful performance filled with emotion.
I’d like to read it!
Thats what I like about classicals of this nature it gets emotional! I get an emotional high just listening to these!!
That great symphonic sound!!
Tchaikovsky invented movie music before movies were even made.
Always thought that the 3rd movement's feeling was borrowed by several movie composers. (Can we say _Adventures of Robin Hood_ ? _The Mark Of Zorro_ ? )
Exactly what I was feeling. 🙏🙏🙏
Fascinant, magnifique, prodigieux chef-ďoeuvre!!!
Living in South Africa until 2001 I was given the 1812 overture record by my father at the age of 12.He had another copy in his cabinet. As a child I treasured the record and played it on my little portable record player. I studied the piano and really loved Tchaikovskys music.
Thank you for sharing your story with us, we're glad you liked it! 😊
I played this for my oldest soldier before he was gone.
My boy Obi who was with me this whole time.
They said dog was man’s best friend
But he proved that cats can be instead ❤

I find Tchaikovsky always a sound picture of multiple dances happening in evolving environments.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of lust, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours. I wish you a blissful day as you listen. My name is Yukino🌹
Muchisimas gracias
Where words fail, music speaks. It expresses feelings and thoughts without words. 🕊🥰.

Thank you. Appreciating how relevant the power of music.
I love this beautiful composition by Tchaikovsky.♥️🎶

Je découvre ce compositeur. EXCELLENT .
My heart soars listening to this symphony, a full mix of emotions.

Oh my goodness, that was beautiful! It has been one of my favourites for many years, yet never seen it performed live. What an astounding orchestra- i could sense how much they love their art, and the passion and execution of this tragic masterpiece brought me to tears.

Classical music was my first love at age twelve, PIT my first hero.
I sure couldn't have resisted clapping and cheering after the 3rd movement!!! Captivating performance!!!
Rest in peace Rasputin. Ana was there for you since the beginning and now you repaid us back and left us when we needed you the most. We will take it from here.
Wunderbare Aufnahme und Auftritt. Die "Pathétique" gehört zu meinen Lieblingssymphonien. Ganz klar. Und hier ist sie wunderschön zu hören.
Listening to this in Israel at a time of war, ( a war that we did not want is so comforting. Israel’s orchestras are continuing to perform.
🎶 Your music is a symphony for the soul! 🌌 The way you intertwine melodies and lyrics is pure poetry, creating an auditory masterpiece that leaves an indelible mark. Well done! 👍🎤

This is "Symphony No.6 in B minor"
rather than "Pathetique Symphony".
I am not disappointed to this performance.
Besides I do not disparage this performance.
When I listened to this music,
I might have an excessive preconception
because of a title to " Pathetique" .
This is slightly different that I expected.
However, nevertheless,
I listen to this performance repeatedly.
Once again, again, once again….
Now I enjoy this performance heartily.
Bravo!
I send gland applause for this splendid performance.

We're glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
Merci beaucoup.

What a superb concert hall.
I enjoyed this performance, of this popular work, very much.

When a situation in life happens to have to care for heavy ill person you love and every day is a painful struggle to her to ease her pain, music is the only healer to regain some energy for a next day and to find more strength to live with such a situation. Thank you for all postings.
DE CLASSICS , DRESDEN ORCHESTER, SUPERBE , TCHAIKOVSKY Á GÈNIE LE SYMPHONY 6 PATHÉTIQUE CHEF -D'ŒUVRE MERCI PER ÇE PARTAGE PARTAGE !
A fine, well-proportioned, well-played _Pathétique,_ exactly what I expected from Janowski and Dresden.
This is a magnificent rendition of The Pathatique. Bravo!!!!

Maravillosa música del maravilloso Tchaikovsky...!!! Un genio...!!
A deeply personal work with a deeply personal message but one that we can only guess at.
