Thanks Tamlyn. It's great that Lamazi now have a viscose jersey category - will make it so much easier to find things. I am trying not to buy fabrics but some of those plain colours are very tempting. Another pattern that sews up beautifully in viscose jersey is the Sinclair Patterns Iris Raglan Swing Tee. It's a great pattern and I love that they do petite and tall sizes, making it probably the first pattern ever that I have not needed to adjust.

Some great advice for sewing with viscose jersey, thank you. It’s my favourite fabric too. Love the drape and I agree it’s perfect for the Mayfair dress and the Ebony top and dress. 💕
Love your make, looks fab on you, I’ve had a few disasters cutting out viscose jersey as I don’t have a big cutting space and the weight of the excess fabric pulled it out of shape. It did put me off using it a bit.

Hi Tamlyn, congratulations on your subcsriber numbers 🎉...you deserve it 👏. I have used viscose jersey a lot too and find Lamazi's irresistible💖 😁. I think you covered everything brilliantly and I can't think of anything else to add tip wise other than sometimes it can be extra stretchy and neckbands might need shortening a tad to keep them sitting flatter 👌. Definitely the most comfortable fabric to put next to your skin 🙌. I'll definitely be using more soon... probably to make another Ebony 😋👍😁😘
That was really helpful and interesting.I'd love you to make a tutorial of the construction of a tee shirt or dress using viscose jersey. I wish indie patterns weren't so expensive as it adds a huge amount before you start.

Which temperature would you pre wash the viscose jersey at please before sewing?
Hi, I usually wash all my fabrics at 30 degrees 😊

I’ve never used a roller foot, but you could give it a try on some viscose jersey scraps and see if it helps? X

I always prewash, not just for shrinking, but in case the color bleeds.
