Lovely dresses, can’t pick a favourite as they all look great 😊 Rachel an idea for your tips is a compilation of quick tips, you know those that don’t take long but that are so handy to know, hem being one of them xx
Love this idea! 3 fabrics in different colours! Rachel, you made me laugh when you mentioned the reaction of others at sew toon! It reminded me of the time in the 80’s when I played in a concert in Wakefield Cathedral! My mum was wearing her hand made dress to the event. When the piano soloist made her entrance she was wearing the same fabric as my Mum in a different colour way! Mum was sitting about 3 rows back!! Will never forget that one!😂😂
0:23 @annrichardscreates Love all your dresses! The fabric is lovely too! My favourite fabric is the purple colour way of Tamlyn’s. My favourite dress is Rachel’s! Well done girls. Love them!
Ripper video. Cant believe how well each colourway suited each of you. You all chose well with colour and patterns and looked gorgeous in your finished garments. Really enjoyed this reveal - thank you
All your dresses look fantastic, thanks for sharing. 😊 With the “big 4” patterns, Tamlyn, there is an assumed knowledge which can make them tricky for those new to sewing or with not much experience. 🍓🧶🌈💙
Three lovely ladies in three lovely dresses! Y'all did a fabulous job and the tips and hints are spot on. Showing the versatility of the fabric through the use of three different patterns and considerations you needed to make for each is brilliant. Love what you do!
They all look fabulous 😍. I had the same with the SOI Estelle, that I didn’t need to lengthen the bodice the same as I usually would in their patterns.
So fun to see what each of you have made with the fabric. Great hemming tip Rachel, thank you! (I would love a tutorial video on hemming knits, they are so temperamental).
Lovely dresses all,you have each chosen the perfect colour but Rachel that fabric really suits your complexion perfectly.I think that you all look amazing. Thank you for a fun video and the hemming tip.💐💐💐
That was brilliant and so well presented. I was wondering about things as you went and there it was, a thorough going over of each pattern and you all got to the bits I was wondering about. Each of your makes were 10 times better than the promo photos on the patterns, though I’m guessing you already know that!. You’ve inspired me that’s for sure, not yours so much Tamlyn, your gorgeous petite figure pulled that off to perfection, but I would love to try the other two, those styles were so flattering on you both - I too have a mum tum. Thank you ladies, take care, I’m so looking forward to seeing you all next time 🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
Aww what a fab vlog. You all look wonderful. So great to see same fabric in different designs - you've nailed this conept ladies; just brilliant❤ I bought the green colourway from your first vlog on this, still not sure what to make, but loving your makes. Thanks as well for all of the deets you all give on your own makes as it really helps folk to get a better understianding of fit near our sizes. Well done ladies 👏👏👏😻
Tamlyn beautiful dress, love the material. Ruan I would have never picked that color way, but after seeing it made up, I'm in love with it. Rachel I love the color of your fabric. That piece in the front when you were twirling it was giving me a good laugh. Love all the makes from the Sewl Sisters. Thank you
Girls, you all look gorgeous and your colours suit each of you! Thank you for your tips on the fitting of the dresses, and for sewing hems on jerseys (thanks Rachel)…so very helpful! I wanted to tell that the summer temperatures at Newcastle-on-Tyne are colder than our winter temperatures here in Southern Queensland ❄️❄️ I can’t imagine what your winter temperatures must be….will be checking that out come your winter. Sending best wishes from Down Under 💖🌸💐🌺🇦🇺😎
Your dress is gorgeous and suits you so well. I learnt to sew with big 4 patterns so use them a lot. There were no you tube videos to watch either. The trickiest part is choosing your size but the finished measurements are usually on the tissue pattern pieces which does help. I always size down but you have to watch ,as recently they started following indie patterns and giving maybe 2 inches rather than 6-8 inches of ease on some patterns.
This was so fun to watch! Each of the color ways suits the owner so well. And I thank you for including your measurements and how they fell into the pattern sizes. This was probably the most important factor for me, because now I have a better idea on how these patterns might fit me. All three of you look stunning in your dresses.
Lovely dresses ladies. The colours look great on you all. (Just for info the Estelle comes in 2 size ranges 6-20 B cup and 18-30 D cup like all recent Sew Over It patterns)
You all look gorgeous. And thanks for the feedback. Ruan - I've got the Kielso wrap dress and was wondering about size etc so it's great to hear from you. And Rachel - I've used the 'wonder tape' for hems and it is a game changer. Well done all - look forward to the next make. Have a nice summer 😎
I’m just making a Kielo wrap dress so searched your vlog. I love the fabrics and patterns you all chose. I agree with Ruan that next time I will ask for the appropriate layers to be printed. I was confused by the lines for the dress and the jumpsuit legs in so many sizes so criss crossing and ended up having to sellotape a piece back on. I hope to finish it tomorrow. I have the Estelle pattern too so may try that next. Thanks for all your hard work.
All of your dresses are lovely😍. Side note to Rachel. I just watched your invisible zipper video and funny coincidence, I was going to tell you that I use that 2 sided tape, that you said you used for you hem, when I install invisible zippers.
All these dresses look amazing on you ladies! Love how you’ve shown three different styles and colour ways of the same fabric! I swear by maraflex, my overlocker only seems to love thicker stuff and I can never get tension right for thinner fabrics, so it has saved me a lot of falling out moments with my overlocker! Thank you for this video, lots of useful tips xx
Beautiful ladies! I have never been convinced by the Kielo wrap dress but that was lovely on Ruan. For me I am tamlyns colours so it’s added to my basket before end of July! Thank you 😊
You all look amazing! The colours in that fabric does make it look different and all the dresses are a lot different so I can see why people didn’t realise to begin with. Like Ruan I never know what to make with viscose jersey and had a bad experience with the Sew Over It dress Rachel made so it’s great to see some amazing inspiration!
This was such a fantastic reveal - all your dresses looked great. Plus the analysis of each pattern was so helpful. And the fabric does look so different in each colourway. After hearing the tip on tomcat stitchery I have been using the double sided tape in knit hems - it makes a big difference for me. It is a great tip. Love your videos 😊
All the dresses look perfect on you, regardless of the little issues you identified. On the kielo, the back pattern seam kicks out slightly on the split, which looks like where you’d get the extra 1cm. I’m guessing you might have cut the seam straight, which worked perfectly for this fabric. I have the pattern but haven’t got around to making it yet. I’m thinking I should after seeing yours 😊
Nice dress. I have looked at this myself, but having a mum tum thought it might not look that good on me. But it is lovely on you. With regard to hemming jersey, I use my coverstitch machine for and I find that Viscose Jersey doesn't stretch out. However, I understand that not everyone has one.
Hi Tamlyn, I love the dress on you and colour. I think the shoulder issue of the armsye moving in is caused by the sleeve width being too tight on you. Try adding a little more.. say 1/2” though biscep area added.
I have been trying to decide whether to make the Kielo or the Estelle dress. You haven’t helped a lot because you both look fabulous in your makes. The pattern reviews are really helpful, though.
Tamlyn your dress is wonderful! Ruan I agree you need a smaller size especially at the top. I still love the look on you! Wow, Rachel, you look completely fab in the green! Do the spools(reels) of the mariflex have enough meterage to allow you to sew a garment with one spool or reel? Rachel, another great tip!
Obviously I don’t know your ages but by the ages of your children I’d take a guess you’re of 3 different generations. Just love that. Even if you’re not. Lol. But if so, it’s fantastic!
Lovely dresses, can’t pick a favourite as they all look great 😊 Rachel an idea for your tips is a compilation of quick tips, you know those that don’t take long but that are so handy to know, hem being one of them xx
This is my favorite fabric for tops. The drape is stunning.
Beautiful dress. I too adore Mimi G 's style. She is awesome.
Love this idea! 3 fabrics in different colours! Rachel, you made me laugh when you mentioned the reaction of others at sew toon! Love this!
Wow, you all look amazing and your dresses all look so different, thank you for another amazing collab. xxxhappy sewing

You all look gorgeous. Great reviews too.
I believe the Estelle comes in the extended size range 6-30 now xxx
All the dresses in the different colorways look beautiful on all of you! I so wish First for Fabric shipped to the USA.
I know 😔
Fab video, all of the garments look great. The SOI Estelle is available in the full size range actually which is good 😊
All your dresses look fantastic, thanks for sharing. 😊 With the “big 4” patterns, Tamlyn, there is an assumed knowledge which can make them tricky for those new to sewing or with not much experience. 🍓🧶🌈💙

Three beautiful makes. Rachel your dress would be nice for dinner out.

You girls look gorgeous! The colors are beautiful and the patterns you chose were perfect for your bodies. Very nice video! 👗🪡🧵🥰
They are all gorgeous!
All three of you look stunning great to see same fabric in different styles ❤
Lovely makes, lovely fabric, lovely ladies! Thank for sharing !
Thank you! 😊
They all look great! I had to move the waist up on the Estelle, I found it was too low. And the pattern pieces are so funky!
Stunning😊 thank you ladies

Love all 3 dresses and great tips from each of you😊

It's GORGEOUS on you xx
Amazing makes ladies.
I have a blue colourway on the way from Eco-Bee fabrics. I am planning hacked Tres Belle top :)
I love this!
You all look fabulous, as do the dresses. ❤
You guys smashed it. Each of you looks beautiful in your colourway. Great pattern fabric matches!
love seeing the fabric made up in different patterns, you all look great x
Gorgeous dresses ladies, you all look stunning
All your dresses are lovely 😊The fabric looks amazing.
Such a fun collaboration! All fabulous dresses!!
Such a fun collaboration, and it was great to hear your experiences with the various patterns. You all look gorgeous!
Absolutely beautiful ladies 💗🪡
I have been trying to decide whether to make the Kielo or the Estelle dress. You haven’t helped a lot because you both look fabulous in your makes. The pattern reviews are really helpful, though.
Nice job ladies! Beautiful dresses.
Beautiful dresses
Thank you so much 😊
Perfect dresses ladies ❤
Tamlyn your dress is wonderful! Ruan I agree you need a smaller size especially at the top. I still love the look on you! Wow, Rachel, you look completely fab in the green! Do the spools(reels) of the mariflex have enough meterage to allow you to sew a garment with one spool or reel? Rachel, another great tip!
Yes I’ve found that one spool is fine as it’s the same as a normal thread 👍🏼
Thank-you
My understanding is that the fabric isn't available in the USA. However, you guys rocked those dresses.
Would you not call it Rayon Jersey ? 😊 just thought of the name change as we in UK call it Viscose!
Dumb question - when you sew with maraflex do you use maraflex in the bobbin?
Not dumb at all! Yes you do 💜
You said you guys look pretty good,, but I disagree! I think you ladies look absolutely fabulous!!!😊
Obviously I don’t know your ages but by the ages of your children I’d take a guess you’re of 3 different generations. Just love that. Even if you’re not. Lol. But if so, it’s fantastic!
Ha ha. We’re all of the same generation but our ages do vary quite a bit!
Love the dress suits you but it looks a bit tight around the sleeves.
❤❤❤😊
xXX👍👍👍
