Mine is in scorpio and communication has never been easy for me, albeit having a far more practical and quick head. Sucks because it affects professional aspects.
I have Mercury R in Pisces. Sometimes I think about the response for too long to the point of it being too late to respond without it being awkward, so i simply don't respond at all, but I sure do overthink it. When I see something on social media and I want to reply to it, I spend 20-30 minutes trying to write a perfect reply, but then end up not sending it loool. Twitter is torture.

Batman I know how that feels.I have Mercury retrograde in my first house of the self and restricting Saturn in my third house of communication. It literally feels like I have a blockage in my throat and when I am forced to talk for work it drains the hell out of me.

@@Pr.nce_youngg I have always had anxiety when speaking as well. Gemini rules my 6th and 7th houses. Mercury is in my 10th (Scorpio) retrograde. Pisces rules my 3rd and it’s ruler is in the 12th making a minor aspect 1*s semi square to mercury in the 10th. So, I feel you!
One of my kids has Mercury retrograde in Pisces conjunct the sun and he is a little genius! He is about 2 years ahead academically. Plus he doesn’t stop talking!

My Rx Mercury is in Pisces but it's conjunct Sun and Jupiter. I've always been an over-achiever and am masterful at oratory - was Debating and Public Speaking Captain at High School plus regional Toastmasters champ. It's funny because in my earlier years my comnunication was very bad. I hear from adults in my life that I used to not even speak when i was younger - i guess i was in my head a lot. It was only later on in high school when i really started to express myself and i think it's because i was aware of my challenges i worked harder than most to improve my communication and thinking by debating (and losing more and learning) and reading like nobody's business. And that made me the excellent communicator i am today. LOTS OF EFFORT PUT IN BUT IT DEFINITELY PAID OFF!
i think that's the Rx lesson you've taught me. The potential for mastery over our Rx planets is always there. Personally, it's when i became fed up of feeling a lack in my Mercurian qualities that i started to "overcompensate". I'm a veerrry practical person despite Pisces' influence but logical reasoning is still a challenge, i must say. i may be better than most but i'm acutely aware of how far behind i am. i'm working on it. Oh and I even received a Management Award before - much to my surprise but it makes sense now. Also my Mercury is in 10th house and i'm extremely entrepreneurial and ALWAYS ALWAYS DO TONS OF RESEARCH before going ahead with any idea!!! This helps a ton.

Great video Lada, I agree with you. I have Mercury Rx in Taurus in the 7th house. When I was younger as a child and teen I found it challenging to speak out my thoughts clearly because I seemed to want to really only speak out loud if what I had to say was correct or sounded like it was important but as I grew into adulthood I found that I started to write more and more and this is how I started to get more confidence with my communication skills. Now everything I do relies on my communication skills and as an adult many jobs that I have had over the years has allowed me to practice speaking and communicating with confidence. I had a lot going on with my mind internally when I was younger, I would think about things a lot on a very deep level (Natal Pluto trine Mercury) I would observe and process a lot before speaking.
I know someone else who has Mercury Rx in Taurus and they are very verbal and highly intelligent but they also have Venus in Gemini in the 1st house.

hi profession is determined by the soul planet and 2 other self factors, which take calculations from the Ascendant and the Mc and the 9th divisional chart--it is not very easy. Another way is not see the house position of the Sun or more planets in one house, but it is not very precise this way. Watch my video on sun in houses
I have mercury retrograde in aquarius. October 2015 is when I really felt it. Things happen and my thinking is so much clearer and direct, I love it. Just feels like I'm always second guessing myself all the other times of the year when it's direct.

born w/Mercury Rx 16 degrees conjunct Sun 18 degrees both in Gemini in 8th house. I've noticed, during retrograde periods, this provides me with the opportunity to re-think and take communications to a deeper - more integrated- level. Not always easy as this squares my moon in Virgo, but with patience stuff really does often turns out for the better which leads me to believe being born under retrograde is a favorable thing.

it is very well aspected! But its sign is not so good. The mind and rational and objective thinking does not feel well in the emotional Cancer, but it is strong still with this retro motion! Also the closer Me is towards the 1st house the stronger it is

One of the best explanations of Mercury Retrograde in natal charts. It is an eye opener . I have Retro Mer in second house with Sun. I often find my ideas /views are not accepted and are dismissed. But after six months the same idea is OK. Are people with retrograde mercury able to anticipate with long time horizon ? or understand the complexity of the unfolding scenarios better ? would you please share your thoughts ?
I really love how you explain the retrogrades, i really love it i have it in my chart with saturn sun and mars all conjuncting in 7th house. They all say when planets go back in motion is retrograde and makes the planet introvert and you say when it comes in between sun and earth. Please can you explain it because my pluto retrograde is conjuncting my partner's sun and my pluto is making a grand trin with sun moon and Mercury so i really want to know the effects of retrograde planets. Hearing you is so good gives hope but then there are other and i am a very obsessive person

Lada, my Sun and Mercury are in Capricorn, Mercury was Retrograde in my natal chart. I find I am able to write well and can convey ideas rather well if I am confident in the topic in which I'm speaking. However, I do have a very frustrating time being confident enough to give my opinions, etc. Is this some other aspect of my chart causing this? 12/25/70 4:25am Houston,Tx. I have mercury retrograde(Scorpio) 10th house. It only makes minor aspects; semisextile Saturn(9Libra) 0*a, and semisquare Mars 0*a, and Neptune-1*s, both in 12th of Sagittarius.
Mine is retrogating in Scorpio, I have one bad aspect in Conjunction with Pluto, but in Conjunction with Sun as well, and in good aspects with Moon, Uranus, Neptune and AS.
Is that good, since I have so many good aspects?

My mercury (aquarius) is retrograde, saturn (pisces) in the 3rd house (aquarius) and I had a difficult time learning to read almost like my breath was stolen and I couldn't talk I also got made fun of in school for saying lots of um's. I don't stutter but I definitely don't talk somtimes out of fears I might do something like stutter. I did get good grades in school and have be complimented by more then a few on my ability to write and communicate (moon trine mercury). It takes a long time for me to warm up to someone to have a long conversation with them (capricorn sun) sometimes when I'm nervous I do the opposite and can't stop talking (mars conjunct mercury) if I'm really close to someone I have a tendency to dominate the conversation which I'm trying to work on and listen more instead

I read once a book on this aspect and the only thing i remember is that they are highly intelligent and intuitive so it is hard for them to communicate with the direct mercury people because the retrograde people are ahead or advanced.

I have retrograde mercury in third house libra, but I feel like I over think and dabble into pessimism which results in laziness. could this be a result of sun, venus, and Jupiter conjunctions in the third house? The only other aspect is north node in tenth house Taurus.

hy lada, i have mercury just turned direct in aries 8th house. very slow moving only a few fractions of a degree a day in a boomerang yod quincunct uranus and ascendent and opp pluto. trine to moon, neptune, mars and saturn(g trine) i flow very easily in conversation but get very stuck in mental chatter and lots of procrastinating need to think everything through a million times. can get very stuck in my thinking. need to read a lot to get more ideas. anything that can help? btw ur lovely;-)
