We just witnessed the epitome of what is meant by the term, A Real Man”! This Father is intelligent, mentally agile when fielding questions from journalists, protective of his wife and children, a business owner and provider, supports his community and leads by example. Hats off to his lovely wife that stood by her man and trusted him to lead the family in the right direction.
This was beautiful to watch. We need to see more Black men represented in a positive light.

They looked at the social media response and after decades of people RSVPing "I'll be there" and not showing up, they decided to cancel the reservation based on their own assumptions and prejudice of the entire situation! If they had just waited and talked to the family they probably would have paid the extra $200 to cover of any extra people happened to show, but if even the POLICE said there were not 500 kids there, then they did NOT break any contract!

If your race wants to do better, quit living up to the stereotype you have. There is a reason most blacks make up the prison population, and it’s not because of racism. There’s a reason there is a large number of fatherless black kids, and it’s not because of whites. You cause your own problems, and people are sick of it. Jesus, I couldn’t even imagine being a cop and having to put up with a bad black area everyday.

If my kids were C students and had gotten suspended from school a couple times, it still doesn't matter. If I pay my doggone money and signed a contract and abided by rules, my kids still deserve to get what I paid for. It doesn't make if society would perceive them as "good kids" or not! 😡😡😡

Ignorance & bigotry run as thick as molasses in the red states. I'm white & I couldn't imagine living in a state like this. I hope this gets rectified because what happened to this man's family is ridiculous, humiliating, & just plain wrong. This man is what I would call an “Alpha Male”, not KS or AT or Fresh and Fit, frankly they disgust me.
This man is putting his family first, he is making sure his family see how you protect your honour, your family’s honour, and the honour of the wider black community. This man is a demonstration of why it is important to have a good education. He is able to reason and articulate his views without getting shouty or ignorant. Mental agility and education is very important, white people are afraid of black people like him (who are calm, articulate and as educated, or more educated than they are, and able to embarrass them by holding press conferences like this one). This is the type of black man whereby white people can not simply stereotype and dismiss and possibly shoot because they are “in fear of their life”, like a good many police officers seem to do”.
Bravo to this man, he has put the many black men who get on YT trying to bully black women to submit to them to shame. He has put the white community to shame. He has demanded respect. He has shown his sons how to be a respectful man and stand up for what is right for your family and the community.
This is the type of man who will live out his life surrounded by family and never have to die alone. Hats off to you Sir.
