It is likely that the arrest was illegal and given that, her behavior is immaterial. If the arrest was illegal, the charges will be dismissed and even a hack lawyer will be able to get the city to settle in a lawsuit. What the video does not show (and would show if they had it, and since they did not show it, leads me to believe that they don't have it) is the officer receiving a report of a crime and the description of an alleged suspect. The only thing the officer says is that he is responding to an alarm. Responding to an alarm does not give the cop the authority to stop the first person he sees, even if they are black. To stop someone, the police have to have reasonable articuable suspicion (RAS). At this point, the cop does not even know if a crime has been committed. He only knows that an alarm went off (There are so many false alarms in the US that some cities charge the taxpayer for responding to them). Next, if he does not have a license plate or a physical description, what reason would he have to suspect that this particular person was somehow involved? Without a call to 911 with a description of a witness, what reasonable standard could the cop apply to discern that this particular persona was responsible for a crime when at this point it time it is unclear if a crime even occurred. Without RAS that this exact individual had committed, was committing, or was about to commit a crime, stopping her was a violation of her civil rights. If you violated my rights that way, I would curse you to high heaven and sue you. If the cop did not have RAS, a lawyer will have the charges dropped, and if he is a good lawyer, he will recommend that she sue. It does not matter how she behaved during the detainment if the detainment itself was illegal. Unless my assumptions about the circumstances are wrong (no RAS), this would be a slam dunk for a decent civil rights attorney and the taxpayers will be on the hook for the settlement. My guess based on what I have seen in similar cases is that this one is good for about $200,000.

Perhaps when people get detained for no reason because of a moron cop that can't find the right address, people get pissed off,... Did you also told them to let cops falsely arrest them? Did you told them that a false arrest will ruin your record, even though it was a false arrest? ... I taught my kids ( already older) to respect but to not let a moron cop bend them over, that girl is pissed off and with reason..... The sheriff says Deltona leaders contacted him about the arrest after seeing social media posts calling the incident an "overreaction."
Investigators say a sergeant was responding to a burglary call Monday - but he accidentally stopped one street over from the correct address.
In the video, you see the sergeant try to talk to a driver pulling out of a driveway when things escalate quickly.
"Even though he’s in the wrong location - he believes he’s in the right location. He’s trying to establish a report. She wants to drive away. He reaches in to turn the car off to prevent a pursuit or anything from happening to anybody. She just unloads on him with profanity," said Sheriff Mike Chitwood.
Officials say the driver is 18-year-old Iyanna Rollins.
You can see in the body cam video that the sergeant tries to handcuff her. In an arrest report, deputies write that she kicked him and struck him in the head with a closed fist multiple times. They also say she kicked another deputy trying to adjust her handcuffs. WHICH THERE WASN'T NO REASON FOR HER TO BE IN HANDCUFFS.... that cop is an idiot.

He was completely out of line for holding her at all... def for opening her door and demanding she shut off the car when he had no clue who she was when he didnt have reasonable articulable suspicion she had committed a crime. That girl was not following lawful orders of a police officer, and the cop acted in his best judgement to turn the car off, fearing if he didn't, that she would have tried to drive off! He barely touched her, and then she threatened to assault the cop by saying she was going to punch him in the face. He tells her to stop, yet she continues to be combative and resist instructions! For instance: if a cop tells you to shut up, you don't actually *need* to shut up, since you have the constitutional right to say what you want.
HOWEVER, the point here is, that, as long as the cop is reasonable, it's also better to be reasonable yourself. What that woman did was the opposite of de-escalating things. The cop said he had a call, so if she just calmly told him what she was doing there, none of this would have happened. Instead, she went full mental on the guy. What did she think was going to happen? Her whole behavior screams a very snowflaky self-entitlement, which is so rampant these days.

The 1st question that the officer asked do you live here... Then the officer asked, why are you here and he ends up reaching unlawfully inside the vehicle. The officer unlawfully detains the lady And does unlawful seizure of person and vehicle By impeding upon her property... the officer originally was the aggressor The officer should have never reached inside of her vehicle and when the woman dispersed from her vehicle vehicle the officer said that she was not under arrest but continued to grab her unlawfully . so quite naturally the woman knowing George Floyd movement would naturally be scared for her life... we May lose sight that this woman is a young black female.... And with law enforcement's history in regards to violence on African Americans in America and elsewhere You could sometimes understand the woman's Demeanor of being scared for her life.... The woman should have said I don't answer questions... the officer did say, you are not under arrest she should have said I don't answer questions and remain calm and cool but that was ruined by the officer with him reaching inside her vehicle Aggressively that in itself is a scary moment..... She was backing out of a driveway a cop told her to stop so she did what any reasonable person would do and that would be pulled the car far enough forward so other cars could drive up and down the road as opposed to blocking the entire road
At which point the cop hit her car
And all she did was ask why when the cop told her to turn off the vehicle
And why did the cop tell her to turn off the vehicle because she bothered to ask what the hell he wanted and why he was stopping her
And his response to her asking why was to rip the door open assault her as he reached into shut off the car and then drag her out of the car
So to recap when told to stop she attempted to pull the car over to the side of the road as required by traffic law and asked why she was stopped
And in response she was assaulted ripped out of her car spun around thrown into trash cans
And you wonder why she failed to show the proper amount of respect?

Right so you can speak on politicians who abuse their power but can’t on a cop who used excessive force? This officer also didn’t try any useful deescalating tactics. Instead he approached quite aggressively, asking questions that were not necessary. You then called the way she acted like a animal? Now if that was you and you were being asked question and detained for no apparent reason you’d be bothered as well. Probably not react the same way but even then fear is something that can take control over your mind and actions. Fear or nerves will normally take place when someone of a higher authority starts taking some form of action. The situation could have been very well avoided if he would’ve left the women alone, and actually worried about people who were committing crimes and breaking laws..

He tells her to turn off the car. He is fully aware of where the car is when he asks her to shut it off. For his safety, he needs her to shut the car off. He doesn’t have time to second guess her. She reached for the shift instead. Now she’s a potential threat to him. Again, he has no clue who she is or if she’s the reason for the alarm, and as far as he knows, she’s about to take off. Not like it doesn’t happen all the time. All she needed to do was shut the car off. You’re adding scenarios that that cop doesn’t have time to think about. She has the advantage over him being she is in a running car that can quickly become a weapon. People need to stop thinking with their feelings and use some common sense. A cops perspective, and their training always has them as being in danger. They direct people specifically to make the situation safe. A fool who doesn’t listen, or think, and acts out like that is going to get subdued for the cops safety. It could have been fast and simple. She made that choice. I bet you can’t even bring yourself for one second to put yourself in the cops place. Any reasonable person would have shut off the car.

Quick recap, its illegal to not comply with a cop under criminal investigation (and had she stopped the car when told, the cop could explain whats going on, but nope shes dumb as fuck) so that's 1 bad thing shes done, then you have her almost hitting the cop with the car which could be looked at as attempted assault number 2, there's also resisting the cop, which is attempting to prevent yourself from being detained/arrested, so that's number 3. then you have her threatening assault, to a cop (great move, 10/10 recommend if you want the cop to be even more pissed) so that's number 4. remember, a cop only needs one reason to arrest you. add all that on the fact that she was a burglary suspect (doesn't mean she did it, just means that the cop needs to make sure it not her, which probably would have taken all of 10 minutes had she actually worked with him to clear shit up, and had it been her in the first place then boom doesn't matter). ultimately I can see why people think this is a cop overstepping their bounds (if that person is missing multiple nueral connections that is) but in all reality had she stopped the car and taken out the keys when asked, shit would have gone so much differently. the cop escalated, because that's what their supposed to do, use one step higher force than the suspect, and when a suspect tries to hit you with a car, that's considered deadly force, in realty a bad cop here could have gotten away with using a bit more force. once more its simply her fault for not even letting the cop explain what the fuck is going on, why make yourself look guilty of something you're not when you could simply comply, then why make yourself guilty of actually crimes because you're some self entitled dumbass? would you have done the same???

He never gave her the reason she was being stopped instead chose to stand I front of a moving* vehicle like a fool to cause an unwarranted confrontation.

No he don’t. He still feel like the cops were wrong.
