  • When James K. Polk ran for president in 1844, he promoted a new northern border for the Oregon Territory at the 54°40′ north line of latitude. Polk’s supporters immortalized his campaign slogan, “54-40 or Fight,” with a quilt block so gorgeous, we’ve been stitching it up ever since!

I do know that all of the charities I have donated them to are happy to receive them. I just wish I had more time to make every single one of the beautiful quilts you have taught us to make.

It took me a while to get to this one but it was so much fun making these blocks. I have been making a lot of quilts using kits for the past year so it was nice to be able to use my pre-cuts again. This one really works up fast too, thanks to Jenny's freestyle method. I am thinking of making another one of these up using civil war or 30's reproduction prints but the pattern lends itself to any fabric really so... I know I'll be using this pattern again. Thank You Jenny and everyone at MSQC for making these tutorials and for sharing your passion for making quilts with us :)

I first saw a Jenny Doan tutorial on craftsy a couple of years ago on quilting quickly. I have been hooked ever since. It does not matter if I will make the quilt or not ( although I love them all and have made a few) it is just fun to watch you. Your enthusiasm and that wonderful Jenny laugh have gotten me through some depressing days on their own. Everybody should have a Mom Jenny to watch! +Missouri Star Quilt Company: Speaking of Jenny's tutorials on Craftsy: I recently joined Craftsy unlimited, a.k.a. bluprint, and I was looking forward to watching Jenny's classes on there, but I can't find them. Can you tell me if Jenny's Craftsy classes have been removed from the platform? And if so, have they been relocated? I tried searching on RUclips, but could only find the trailers for them. Thank you. BTW, This quilt is so, so beautiful! Looks like it would be really fun to make, too!
