Pleased to see they've made an effort with adding PBR textures. I always felt that raytracing isn't really worth it without them. It looks great. I hope TR2 gets the same treatment.

You dont rly need rtx 4090 to run this even in 16K 😎
It looks like the new lighting is going to make the game more difficult, with areas being fully dark. That will need tweaking.

I think it has to much yellow light that 's far from the original environment. The torches are ok for yellow light but if you add more white daylight and change Lara's flashlight to LED white light, I think it would be better.
This looks fabulous. I think it's a 'game changer' indeed, for the best I would say. Because it preserves the authenticity of the original game. It only adds to the atmosphere.
Someone, a hero, needs to do this for practically all early 3D games really, PS1 / Saturn era of games would all greatly benefit from this. Here's a thought, imagine the original Resident Evil with RTX Remix, or RE2, or Nightmare Creatures, or the first Silent Hill. Or the first Metal Gear Solid. Any third-person (or first person) adventure / action games from that era would look amazing with this. Or heck, DOOM? Hexen? Duke Nukem 3D? It would just keep going.
MGS would be very cool, I'm not sure about the RE games as they had pre-rendered 2d backgrounds so I'm not sure what could be done with them in terms of RTX

Remaster is a completely different thing. This is a mod by a modder using RTX Remix by Nvidia, the remaster is a remaster by Aspyr who got access to the source code from Crystal Dynamics, upgraded the engine to add lighting effects and updated the textures as well as modern controls as an option. They will release on all the current gen consoles (also ps4 and xbox one) and PC.

I think the remaster is just going to be rasterized (no RT)
