As an Ash’ari, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this! May Allah have endless mercy upon the soul of al Hafiz Ibn Taymiyya - truly a giant of the Islamic scholarly tradition who we owe it to cherish and admire. Thanks again Sir Paul Williams!
Mashallah was not expecting Hatem al-Haj to be on Blogging Theology. If anyone’s interested he did a whole Hanbali Fiqh series on a book called Umdat al-Fiqh by the great Hanbali scholar Ibn Qudamah al-Maqdasi. I have learned how to pray, make wudhu, ghusl, fasting and even he goes into zakat, inheritance, hajj/umrah, marriage etc from Hatem al-Haj. Thanks for this Paul 👍🏾
@Esfan that’s fine and I also love listening to Abu Aaliyah but Hatem el-Haj is a literal Hanbali scholar not a regular scholar or sheikh. So his lectures and classes go into great detail about history of Fiqh and Usool al-Fiqh and goes into detail hundreds if not thousands of scholars that contributed to the Hanbali *and sometimes he talks about other madhabs* madhab
I love these videos on specific scholars. Might I suggest covering imam al Tabari? It is interesting to me that he wrote both history and tafsir. His history is one of the only and earliest witness of the Persian viewpoint in the Byzantine Sassanid wars prior to Islam and his tafsir is so influential being the earliest still surviving today with always many opinions and a lot of collected sources like israiliyat.
Ibn Taymiyyah wrote books that are considered references in the comparison of religions and sects, such as his book on Shia, his book on Christianity, his books on faith, his books that contradict the ideas of the Ash’aris, his books on responding to Greek philosophers, etc..
Thankyou brother Paul for this video, i look forward to watching it soon. Ibn Taymiyyah is one of the most misunderstood people, only when we actually read ibn Taymiyyahs works do we see that he is free from the accusations his opponents label against him.
May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Ul-Islam. Easily one of the most influential theologians from after the era of the 3 great generations. May Allah reward the two of your for this lecture.

However, I would like to request that in the same way you have allowed a supporter of Taymiyan Theology that recognises the validity of Ashari Theology to explain and defend such a theology (even if it leads to criticism of Asharis), please allow an Ashari Theologian that recognises İbn Taymiyyahs scholarly rigour to explain and defend Asharism.

I had heard Ibn Tamiyaah was controversial. It’s also pretty obvious in the comments section. The fascinating thing I learned was that unlike other scholars/ theologians, he was just not a man of words but a man of action. I have to really look him up.
If he was not interested in philosophy and logic, how was he the first Muslim scholar to criticize Greek philosophers? In the matter of the Islamic faith, Ibn Taymiyyah seeks evidence from the two revelations (the Qur’an and the Sunnah), and not philosophy in matters of the unseen, and this is the approach of the early Muslims.

Hello, I am one of your followers and your content is very wonderful, but I hope that you will put the translation in Arabic so that our Arab brothers can understand
My friend, you are not enhancing our understanding of Ibn Taymiya, I just read your PDF and I saw nothing new. We, Ash'aris, already know this stuff, it is the Wahhabi laymen who do not really know anything. Wahhabi sheikhs used to teach this information only to few elite students, so when we used to tell average Wahhabis that Ibn Taymiya says xyz, they would not believe us. @@saidhashi2856 bro are u serious? I don't understand the logic behind your response. Taymiyyans/Salafis don't even deny this. And till this day preach his views. That it's haram to visit the grave of the prophet.
@@tugi7104 Did you read his reasons for forbidding that? or you are just joining a bandwagon of criticising everything just becoz becoz the Imam has different opinion than yours or your asheikh??
The Prophet s.a.w said: “No one should travel for the purpose of visiting (any mosque) except three: al-Masjid al-Haraam (in Makkah), this mosque of mine (in Madeenah) and al-Masjid al-Aqsaa (in al-Quds/Jerusalem).” Agreed upon). If One has the intention of visiting both (the mosque and the grave), this is permissible, because things may be permissible as part of something else which are not permissible on their own. But having the intention only to visit the grave and travelling for that purpose is not permissible. Intending to visit the grave only is not permissible if it involves travelling. But if a person lives close by and does not need to travel, and his going to the grave is not regarded as “travel” or a “journey”, then it is OK, because visiting the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the graves of his two companions without having to travel is Sunnah and is an act of worship. The same applies to visiting the graves of the martyrs and of the people of al-Baqee’. Similarly, visiting the graves of Muslims in all places is Sunnah and is an act of worship, but without travelling for that purpose, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Visit graves, for they will remind you of the Hereafter.” (Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh).

This video is a treasure. Hope it will answer my following question. The verse in Surah Arahman: "only the face of Allah will remain forever" 55:27, would that imply that the hands & eyes of Allah would perish (Astaghfirullah)? If you interpret the face of Allah as the entirety of Allah, would't that imply that you are 'interpreting the attributes of Allah' which is something you accuse of the Ash'aris?
Brother Binu Jasim, did you know why you write "astaghfirullah", your fitrah is talking, actually the fitrah wants to prevent you write that, fear Allah brother
Face of Allah means light Noor we can't describe Allah's attributes in a literal sense.. whatever Allah subhanutallah says about himself in Quran we belief without questioning because Allah's attributes are beyond human imagination..
Imam al-Razi's statement should have been explained with more nuance. And has been presented in a somewhat misleading way. 1. He made this statement in the context of possible benefits the ambiguous verses can have. 2. His statement was about the possible reasons for the usage of anthropomorphic expressions. The Qur'an is for all people. The illiterate and the literate. Anthropomorphic language is more accessible and easier to understand. He does not say that lay people believe in an anthropomorphic god. Or that they are being misled by these verses. He is saying that the meaning is expressed through these statements. For example: Allah is closer to us then our jugelar vein. This is an example of an anthropomorphic statement. That is obviously not to be taken literally. The meaning of this verse is easy to understand for everyone. Allah is close to us with his knowledge. (By confess of the mufasireen). There have also been other points that weren't adress correctly. I would advice u. Let an ashari talk about ashari aqeedah. U could invite Dr. Safaruk Chowdhury English Academic who is familiar with Ashari aqaid.
So in short. Imam Razi's point was about the accessibility of the language. The Qur'an did not came down as a complex sophisticated manual. It came down for everyone.

As a Hanbali I absolutely love Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiya رحمه الله , however this doesn’t mean I agree with everything he says regarding Tawassul and the like because I don’t rather I follow the majority position of the Mathab. Ibn Taymiya ر was a genius and an Imam but unfortunately some people who came after him have used his ideas or some of them in a divisive way. As a HanbaliI incline to the tasawwuf based Imams which is nearly all of them like Imam Al-Bahooti the khalwati Imam author of الروض المربع a core Hanbali text in the math-hab and Imam Yusuf Al-Mar’ee the Azhari Imam and author of hundreds of works including دليل الطالب another core text of the school. They all loved Ibn Taymiya رحمه الله and were Atharis however they had moved on from the Aqeedah wars between the 3 Sunni schools of thought the 1) Asharis- 2) Ma’tureedis- 3),Atharis and had basically accepted each other until Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdil Wahhab رح who reignited the feud may Allah forgive us all of our mistakes and sins Aameen. Imam As-Safaareeni the compiler of the famous large versification of the Athari Aqeedah and who also wrote an explanation of it explicitly declared ahlus Sunnah as these three Schools and he was vehemently against the ideas and person of Muhammad Abdil Wahhab… The books that teach and transmit the Mathab are all practitioners of tasawwuf but that doesn’t mean they were Sufi because Sufi can also be applied to those who have innovated bizarre practices that are baseless in the Sharia! The Hanabila of Egypt, Palestine (المقدسِيّون) and Syria and all the core books of the Hanbali school upon which fatwa or the official position is given like كتاب منتهى الإرادات and الإقناع and زاد المستقنع we’re practitioners of Sunni tasawwuf and moderate and balanced in every way! They represent the cream of the School and the Natural successors to the famous Palestinian Imam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Makdisi رحمه الله who abridged Imams encyclopaedia of tasawwuf “Ihyaa Uloom Uddin “. The traditional Hanbali school is an almost perfect balance between the 3 pillars of religion 1)Eeman-2)Islam- 3) Ihsan. There’s a visible evolution in all the Islamic sciences but this especially noticeable in the sciences of Fiqh and Hadith and Tafseer and so they went through foundational stages and Aqeedah was no different and therefore I believe we must factor this when dealing with intra school politics, there’s room for everyone and: “To do Ta’weel or not to do Ta’weel that is certainly an important question 😉🫢“ I hope and pray that the balance and moderation of our later Imams becomes the chosen way for the ummah because the internal politics is harming us despite the fact that these previously mentioned Imams, along with their counterparts from the other schools in Fiqh and Aqeedah, had already aided the ummah in calming these internal issues after receiving this project from Imam Al-Ghazali رحمه الله and other renewers of the deen. There’s room for all of these schools inshallah… my Allah give us the Tawfeeq to make it a reality اللهم ربّنا تقبّلْ منّا نيّاتِنا الصالحة وجسِّدْها في عالِم واقعِنا اللهم آمييين ❤❤❤
My brother, All the scholars at his time and after ibn taimiyah NEVER declare or conclude that this great scholar of islam ( alim and mujtahid ) ibn taimiyah is a scholar of aqidah, and as a matter a fact, hes not a reference for almost of ahlul sunnah wal jamaah then and now. Only wahabies n salafies embrace his way of aqidah. We should get our distance of understanding the aqidah base on ibn taimiyah. There are thousands of sunni scholars which representing the true aqidah that we can refers to, other than him. Dont put ourself in understanding this sacred religion on understanding of ibn taimiyah and wahabies ibnu wahab an najd. For instance, australian musa cerantanio a famous convert was a salafies/ wahabies has declared himself murtad and dont believe anymore in the religion of Allah. And so many cases famous/alim/ustaz of islam wahabies became atheis or chrstian for the last 60 years, they are all former wahabies/salafies or even syiah.
I have not seen the Salafis except that they are people of evidence, their evidence is from the Qur’an and Sunnah and the understanding of the first generations of Muslims, and this is what any Muslim is looking for. Superstitions and corrupt philosophy in religion and strange rituals are the ones who stop them, so God rewarded them with good. The Salafis are the fortress of Muslims, its flag and its torch. Look for debates between the Sunnis and the Christians or the Shiites, etc.. You will find that the Salafis are the most influential and leading in defending the Islamic faith more than others because they are more profound in understanding the Islamic faith than others. They are called Ahl al-Hadith because they are the most devoted Muslims in seeking the knowledge of hadith, so they are the best in debating deviant sects and debating deviant religions because they memorize the evidence and understand it with the understanding of the first generations. At the time of the Prophet Muhammed pbuh some of the Companions apostatized from Islam, so is the fault in Islam or in those I also see a lot of converts to Islam because of the Salafis who present Islam in the best way because they have an understanding of the texts of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and as evidenced by the understanding of the first generations of Muslims Rather, I witnessed a number of Western atheists who are sheikhs now and spread the teachings of Islam to their people, so all your words are just fantasies and not reality. The criticisms against Ibn Taymiyyah are mostly due to Ibn Taymiyyah's denial of worshiping graves, building shrines, and strange rituals in Islam, which were not among the practices of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh and his companions. As well as fighting philosophical ideas in the Qur’an, which are not from the understanding of the first generations of Muslims of the Qur’an and Sunnah, and his harsh criticisms against the Shiites. @Abdullah the Monotheist here's the issue, the hadith doesn't speak of paradise, it say "saved sect" which is referring to the hell fire, one opinion is that since the prophet pbuh refers to all the sect as "from my Ummah" this means they are still Muslims which means that if Allah didn't pardon them, they would enter hell until they are cleansed from thier sins and enter Paradise afterwards, the hadith never states that they will be eternally in the hell fire, the deviant scholars know that what they are doing is deviance and they know that hadith well, that's why they don't like it, as for scholars who follow the straight path with innovation, they don't have a problem with the hadith, and Allah knows best.
Ibn taymia & ibn abdel wahab believe in 6th upper direction idol with 60 arm length measurements. Both are lacking the knowledge of over 2009 authentic Hadith in faith. Taymia is not Arab is called by his mother. The second killed so many Muslims in mecca & Madina. Both supposed follow Imam Ahmad ibn hanbal so why not just follow him and forget about both of them.
Majority of the scholars before and after him were opposed to him and imam Subki went so far as to call him an innovator for calling haram and bid'ah what the ashab and the salaf al saliheen used to do. But I'm sure he meant to serve Allah as best as he could, and Allah knows best at the end of the day
Any source for your claim, that the majority called him an innovator? I mean if you've listened to the video. His area was filled with Asha'irah. What did you expect? Some of them literally tried to kill him. They even whiped him on a donkey publicly with his student Sheikhul Islam Ibnul Qayyim because of 1 Fiqh Fatwa. Like please, is this the majority you're talking, which have this extreme unislamic behaviour? Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is a real man for not giving up and STILL forgiving them.
Very beautiful picture of a library. Does someone know, in which city or place does this building stands and how is its name? Impressive story about how he asked to make free the Muslim prisoners and then also the Christian prisoners. He actually followed the sunna of prophet Musa, as. We are following these days the example of western countries. We go and rebell with huge groups of ppl. In this way the tyranic leaders feel threatened and react with violence. The violence spiral up, faren forces use the chaos and weakness. The whole country gets destroyed. The ppl just wanted a better life, but what they got is full destruction. We should follow Allah's guidance. Take example from Musa, as. He confronted the Pharao alone (with brother Haroon), he has risked just his life. He did what Allah wanted him to do, that's why Allah helped him. And that's why Allah helped also Ibn Taymiya.
Sorry but ibn Taymiyyah had some good points and MASSIVE blunders. How can you prove to an atheist that a God exists with a literal shin, foot, 2 hands on one side, descends to the lowest heaven, etc.? Sorry, but anyone that believes that is on another world of stupid.
Bro I would be careful with that language. Allah in the Quran mentions these attributes as his attributes. You are the one who thinks in human likeness. Allah's attributes are beyond imagination and is unlike his creation but we wont deny his attributes which he attributed to himself. Do you think Allah could not have used better words?
@@kenkaneki9138 I don't accept that Allah has body parts, that would imply that Allah is divisible. The verse in Surah Arahman: "only the face of Allah will remain forever" 55:27, would that imply that the hands & eyes of Allah would perish (Astaghfirullah). I believe the hands & face of Allah are attributes of Allah whose actual interpretation is known to Allah alone.
So you are calling the Prophet sallalahu alaihi wa sallam stupid? Abdullāh Ibn Mas’ūd said, “A Jewish Rabbi came to Allah’s Messenger and said, ‘O Muhammad, we learn that Allah will place all the Heavens on a Finger, the earths on a finger, the trees on a Finger, the water on a Finger, the soil on a Finger and the rest of the creation on a Finger. Then He will say, ‘I am the King.’ So the Prophet (ﷺ) laughed till his pre-molar teeth became visible in affirmation of the truthfulness of the speech of the Rabbi. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) recited, ‘They made not a just estimate of Allah as is due to Him. And on the Day of Resurrection, the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Exalted is He, free of all imperfections, High above all that they associate as partners with Him.’ (Surah Az-Zumar: 67)” (Reported by Al-Bukhārī no. 4711, Muslim no. 2786).

Paul, Allah leads to pure truth understandable by all, that is why it is called the guide..الهدي His words are absolute truth الحق المبين
The salaf didn't translate the words into English. So you're supposed to look at the Arabic dictionaries....alYad, alWajh and other words have more than on meaning. Referring back to the muhkam and mutashaabih verses as revealed in the soorah aal Imraan. Maybe if you looked properly at the salaf youd see clear examples a clear ta'weel. If you follow this, incorrect tayniyyah theology, way you would affirm a soul to Allaah and say without a how?! It's nonsense. Allaah revealed RooHee about himself, but obviously, it doesn't mean my soul about Allaah. Just have to look at it properly and realise English words don't hold the same meanings as atabic words. Alyad has 20 meanings, and sometimes it means arm as mentioned in the verse about wuDoo! The correct way is to attribute to words the correct meanings that do not resemble Allaah to the creation. We all know what a 'hand' is we're not stupid. Hand is a body part. Eyes are body parts. Mercy is an attribute. Knowledge is an attribute. Sight is an attribute.
You’re just putting ideas into the Sahabi that they didn’t hold. Of course they didn’t use English but there is no evidence that they understood these words in any way other than their PRIMARY meanings. They affirmed the meanings without asking how. Allah is like nothing we can imagine yet He is all hearing, all seeing. Do you understand hearing and seeing as other than their primary meanings? Why do that with hand?
@Eesa Abdur Rahman well its about undedtanding right. I understand the eye to be a body and sight to be an attribute. Let me ask you. Is the moon a body or an attribute? Since it has a shape and a size it's a body. The hand and "body parts" like hand, foot, fingers and mouth all have a shape and a size by definition, so either you're saying it as per the definition which is attributing Allaah with human body parts, or you're claiming it doesn't mean a body part, in that case why are you calling it a hand If, by definition, the alyad is not a hand?! So, is hearing an attribute or a body part? It's an attribute. Humans hear "needing" ears, whereas Go d hears without a need of an ear or body parts. Otherwise, he would resemble us, and now you can try to be smart and say the words are the same, but trult the meaning is completely different. I the human hears with an ear. Allaah hears without an ear and hears absolutely everything. I don't need to resemble him to the creation. By definition, even when hand is chosen as a meaning, it's a body part. According to you, the primary meaning of soorat albaqarah 115 is every direction you face. There is the face of God. Or do you negate the apprent meaning?! Which is complete nonsense even though the scholars didn't interpret it like that. Also, by your method, you'd have to say he Allaa h has many hands, not just 1 or 2, and because of the word 'Aydin' being used, which is between 3 and 10. And on the other hand, you'd in your same method you'd have to face wherever a person faces gods face is there. Which is clearly wrong. Your way leads to complete and utter nonsense. God is free from BODY parts big or small.
@@misteryolo7248 why do you Asharis always make these false arguments? I’m mot basing my beliefs on a “favorite sheikh”. Allah says hand He means hand. Allah says He’s nothing like creation, He means that too. For the life of me I can’t figure out why that’s so hard to understand.
@@Naimy the Hand is a part when attributed to us, not when attributed to Allah. Allah used words we understand to describe that which we can’t imagine. He did not choose such words to confuse us or so we could throw our hands in the air and leave it a mystery. Allah said hand, He meant hand. Allah says there is nothing like unto Him, He meant that too. Why so many resist this obvious truth is beyond me. What word would you have Allah use? He did not choose a random word. He chose “yad” for a reason. Hand is the primary and contextual meaning. Why deny this? Why else would Allah use the word?
What are the best English resources to start understanding the theology on methods of both ibn Tamiyyah and al-Ghazali? I have an elementary understanding of Arabic, but am still dependent on English
al-Ghazali did not "make" his own theological school. He is within the stream of Ashari theology which codified by Imam Ashari. ibn Taymiyah theology is what today's salafi wahabi believe. Wahhabis believe that Allah has corporeal body and limbs just like humans. Please refer to Chechnya Conference

Ibn Tammiyah should have revealed the truth that the true prophets of Islam are Israelites and the one Muhammad was the original messenger that revealed this revelation to Arabia as the story goes. Mecca was created to symbolize the temple of David. Never forget.
Have you actually listened to the talk in full? If you have, then you cannot possibly believe that Ibn taymiyyah was advocating for an anthropromorphic theology. This is a common strawman against him. I would encourage to listen to this in its entirety to appreciate. ❤
@@nahoma yes I did actually. Did you? Even Dr Hatem said: “Here, corporealists did not only mean those who claimed that Allah is a body (jism), but also those who believed He is above the throne, because corporealism is the "necessary concomitant" of that belief and many other scriptural assertions.” I do believe Ibn Taymiyya denying the approaches of tawil and tafiwid ma’na (consigning the meaning) and opting to affirm the literal meaning instead, necessitates anthropomorphism. Whether he says it explicitly or not. If he’s arguing against Imam Razi on a book about God’s transcendence then what is he arguing for? @Esfan that’s fine and I also love listening to Abu Aaliyah but Hatem el-Haj is a literal Hanbali scholar not a regular scholar or sheikh. al-Haafiz Jalaal al-Deen al-Suyooti (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
Ibn Taymiyah, the Shaykh, the imam, the ‘allaamah (great scholar), the hafiz, the critic, the faqeeh, the mujtahid, the brilliant mufassir, the Shaykh of Islam, the leader of ascetics, the unrivalled in our time, Taqiy al-Deen Abu’l-Abbaas Ahmad al-Mufti Shihaab al-Deen ‘Abd al-Haleem, the son of the imam and mujtahid Shaykh al-Islam Majd al-Deen ‘Abd al-Salaam ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Abi’l-Qaasim al-Haraani.
One of the prominent figures, he was born in Rabee’ al-Awwal 661 AH, and he learned from Ibn Abi’l-Yasar, Ibn ‘Abd al-Daa’im, and some others.
He took an interest in hadeeth, and narrated and selected (sound ahaadeeth); he excelled in the study of narrators’ biographies, defects in ahaadeeth, fiqh, the sciences of Islam, ‘ilm al-kalaam and other fields.
He was a man of vast learning, one of the few brilliant scholars, ascetics and unique individuals. He wrote three hundred books, and he was tested and persecuted many times.
He died in the latter part of Dhu’l-Qa’dah 628 AH.

According to your logic.
The Prophet s.a.w said:
“No one should travel for the purpose of visiting (any mosque) except three: al-Masjid al-Haraam (in Makkah), this mosque of mine (in Madeenah) and al-Masjid al-Aqsaa (in al-Quds/Jerusalem).” Agreed upon).
@@saidhashi2856 I am not going to discuss fiqh online with you. I don't know why you are getting triggered. I am just mentioning what his rulings were and why he was imprisoned.

Who is the one that's blindly following?
One of the best most beautiful people to call on podcast. May Allah bless you Paul.
Very good question
Brother Binu Jasim, did you know why you write "astaghfirullah", your fitrah is talking, actually the fitrah wants to prevent you write that, fear Allah brother
Also what quranic translation did you use? I read word by word in arabic, there is no word "only"
Face of Allah means light Noor we can't describe Allah's attributes in a literal sense.. whatever Allah subhanutallah says about himself in Quran we belief without questioning because Allah's attributes are beyond human imagination..
@@NK236
That's metaphorical interpretation hated by ibn taymiyyah himself
(I don't agree with him tho)
whoever is bothered by Ibn Taymiyyah needs to check their adherence to the proofs
Yep
I hope brother Paul gets someone to discuss a book like “A Critique of the Palmyran Creed” by Shaykh Sa’id Fodeh. Maybe even the Shaykh himself could be invited ان شاء الله
Or any Ash’ari guests to discuss our creed
@@-Ahmed8592 he should do it. I don't think he will invite Saeed Foudah (language barrier. maybe in french?). It's always problematic to let non-asharis or non-maturidis explain ashari/maturidi aqeedah. Especially if it's a Taymiyyan Athari.

HEAVY DISCUSSIONS ARE NOT FIT IN PUBLIC BRAHER..
To all my brothers and sisters in Islam, never learn any heavy science such as philosophy or heavy theology unless you already have a mature and solid scientific basis so you don't deviate or get lost.

jast take safe position by knowing and believing in the things that are mandatory. no in-depth knowledge or understanding is required.
jast take (learn and blieve) as_'ary aqeedah without no-need in deep. jast enough understanding and blieve. that it

Imam As-Safaareeni the compiler of the famous large versification of the Athari Aqeedah and who also wrote an explanation of it explicitly declared ahlus Sunnah as these three Schools and he was vehemently against the ideas and person of Muhammad Abdil Wahhab…
The books that teach and transmit the Mathab are all practitioners of tasawwuf but that doesn’t mean they were Sufi because Sufi can also be applied to those who have innovated bizarre practices that are baseless in the Sharia!
There’s a visible evolution in all the Islamic sciences but this especially noticeable in the sciences of Fiqh and Hadith and Tafseer and so they went through foundational stages and Aqeedah was no different and therefore I believe we must factor this when dealing with intra school politics, there’s room for everyone and:
“To do Ta’weel or not to do Ta’weel that is certainly an important question 😉🫢“
I hope and pray that the balance and moderation of our later Imams becomes the chosen way for the ummah because the internal politics is harming us despite the fact that these previously mentioned Imams, along with their counterparts from the other schools in Fiqh and Aqeedah, had already aided the ummah in calming these internal issues after receiving this project from Imam Al-Ghazali رحمه الله and other renewers of the deen.

At the time of the Prophet Muhammed pbuh some of the Companions apostatized from Islam, so is the fault in Islam or in those
I also see a lot of converts to Islam because of the Salafis who present Islam in the best way because they have an understanding of the texts of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and as evidenced by the understanding of the first generations of Muslims
Rather, I witnessed a number of Western atheists who are sheikhs now and spread the teachings of Islam to their people, so all your words are just fantasies and not reality.

West Ham have now won 3 Premier League games in a row ! Ibn Tamir was a West Ham supporter !
Br. Paul Williams flirting with salafi literalism....
It’s a pleasureeeee to see Sh. Hatem here! A gem of the western Ummah! ❤️
Not necessarily every disease has a cure if Allah has written death for you while you are afflicted.
Regarding kasb, we know Allah has given us the verse كل نفس بما كسبت رهينة. Surat Al Muddathir verse 38
Clearly everyone will be held responsible. This signifies beyond doubt choice i.e. free will.
Is there predestination as they term it in the west, yes, but in your limited sphere, you cannot comprehend it not
should you or must you. However, the upshot is...stay in your lane.
Paul, Allah leads to pure truth understandable by all, that is why it is called the guide..الهدي
His words are absolute truth الحق المبين
You just refuse to understand because you're afraid of opposing your favorite sheikh, but what you should be doing however is look for the truth.

No Salafi says -""just like human "".
Salafi says, believe the following Quran verses - -
Quran 112:4
Quran 42:11
Quran 19:65
Quran 16:74
Salafis believe Allah's Sifat, attributes as Allah Himself says in the Quran and then, Don't ask "HOW".
Also very important Quran verse -
Quran 3:7
Salafi don't compare, find simmilarities - Allah with His creation.
Thank you Sir,

@@Jack_Gatsby you're simply lying or relaying lies against islam, there is no such thing as wahabi, give me one belief that ibn Tamiya invented from himself with proof from the Quran and sunnah, you can't, rather it's the ashari and maturidi who brought philosophy and invented in religion what wasn't in it before, you follow innovators who prefer to follow philosophy rather than the guidance of Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, May Allah guide you ❤️

Ibn Tammiyah should have revealed the truth that the true prophets of Islam are Israelites and the one Muhammad was the original messenger that revealed this revelation to Arabia as the story goes. Mecca was created to symbolize the temple of David. Never forget.
1:00:43 "This command of Abraham was for another wisdom - to test his submission". Yes, but also to foreshadow the death of Jesus Christ.
This is absolutely fascinating
Is there gonna be a blogging Theology of ashari/Maturidi creed? Or just dealing with anthropomorphic creeds like Christians and taymis etc
Did you?
Even Dr Hatem said: “Here, corporealists did not only mean those who claimed that Allah is a body (jism), but also those who believed He is above the throne, because corporealism is the "necessary concomitant" of that belief and many other scriptural assertions.”
I do believe Ibn Taymiyya denying the approaches of tawil and tafiwid ma’na (consigning the meaning) and opting to affirm the literal meaning instead, necessitates anthropomorphism. Whether he says it explicitly or not. If he’s arguing against Imam Razi on a book about God’s transcendence then what is he arguing for? It’s not just a linguistic debate, it’s a theological debate, he had an issue with Asharis believing in a perfect God beyond place and time.

@@Kalam18595 Abdullāh Ibn Mas’ūd said, “A Jewish Rabbi came to Allah’s Messenger and said, ‘O Muhammad, we learn that Allah will place all the Heavens on a Finger, the earths on a finger, the trees on a Finger, the water on a Finger, the soil on a Finger and the rest of the creation on a Finger. 2786).

The prophet ﷺ is clearly demonstrating in a metaphorical way the omnipotence of God. However, people like you are thinking of a corporeal limited God and cling onto the ambiguous terms like hand and fingers.

Great.....
Ibn Tiymiah was following scriptures 100% … he wasn’t improvising .. he followed the sunnah 100% .. the fact that you think he wasn’t 100% following scripture is because you don’t possess 1% of his knowledge!!! There is no such thing as Tiymiyyan Theology!! He and so many before him and after him follow the sunna of the prophet and that is the Aaqeedah (Theology) of Islam taken by the prophet introduced to the companions and passed down to muslims through followers who taken it through chain of narration until this day.. you just go on and bash him eloquently and subtly and fool others who listen to you.. this adds more to the rewards of ibn Tiymiyah.. I shall say to you what others said to attackers of ibn Tiymiyah, you are just banging your head against a mountain!!!
Yep, they wanna bundle the belief of the Muslims in one man so it's easier for them to misguide people, ibm Tamiya only follow those who were upon the truth before him.
