Hygge is something I definitely try to achieve in my home, especially in the colder months, I first learned of it several years ago on a trip to Copenhagen. It is not surprising you feel so relaxed at the summer cottage, it looks beautiful there. I do a lot of the same things you do to hygge, I learn about it a couple years ago, I have a little night time routine that helps me relax before going to sleep. I always have a cup of peppermint tea and read a book while listening to some relaxing music. It helps me ease my mind and have a nice, restful sleep. I love using candles around the house too and I am learning how to sew now, I am determine to make my own summer dresses next year. Chicken tinola is also my favorite. You need an unripe papaya & ginger. When you eat it with hot rice it is so delicious. If your sick with flu it will help you heal. If you do not have a papaya you can use chayote as a substitute.

Hygge is more like a cozy feeling so its what you feel what's cozy. In Scandinavia we usually do it through coffee it's a time during the day to relax and this is a memory and feeling you get during childhood visiting grandparents. Its hard to explain if you are not Danish as it is more like a feeling. In Sweden we call it fika same concept. Finnish people are not Scandinavian but they might have something similar or have adapted it from Scandinavian culture.
At 5.19 I will try it tomorrow this kimchi chicken THANK YOU for this meal. I personally HATE miso supe but LOVE wakame soup ( seaweed soup ) with lots of garlic taste in it. IF YOU HAVE A GOOD IDEA HOW TO MAKE IT PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT IT.
