@@yawzzz Just throwing this in here... 1:21:33 - Jordan Simmons - "...Cosmo will you have my babies? Big smiley face! Young, tall, brunette, and a MAN."
One of the most legendary live speed runs of all time, this was right before the game got really really broken with wrong warp and basically jump started cosmos twitch popularity.
Never watched a speed run before other than occasionally looking over at what my boyfriend would be watching, but this was brilliant! I got Ocarina of Time 3D for Christmas and am almost done with it already so figured I'd watch a speed run. Marvelous job!!
You heartless man. The donation messages to the runners, the heartwarming stories remind us why we are doing this in the first place (the runners as well as the donators) are the best thing.
AGDQ was wildly successful. And based off of the reactions from this game being in the marathon which were positive i have no doubt that the runners are thankful. This game like many others has brought countless hours of joy to cosmo and other speed runners so i really think that they have tremendous respect for the makers of the game.
Many, many people searching and countless hours spent looking for glitches. sometimes they are found by accident, though. The great thing about OoT is its huge community of speedrunners they continue to discover new things to this day.
That was awesome dude, I'm glad I spent 2 hours 36 minutes and 14 seconds to watch this freaking awesome run! Well, I was expecting it to be amazing anyways, because it was by Cosmo!
This run was definitely the highlight of the marathon with Cosmo saying everything was really hard, but ended up doing nearly all of it on the first try.
I know the feeling. I got onto this vid somehow last night when I was gonna play a game, and just said to myself "I'll watch a little less than a half hour to see how this works." Ended up watching it for 1.5 hours before I realized what had happened XD Great job guys!
I know these guys do this because they love too and these events are for an AMAZING cause, but man, I would struggle playing there for a 2+ hour "speed" run...glad they do it though. helps a great cause and provides people with entertainment and teaching them
I was linked to this video from watching some loz skit...I wish I'd known about you guys and this marathon in order to have tuned in live and have been able to donate. Now that I've got the memo, I look forward to the next. Thanks for the great vid, Cosmo: you just bent this game over a barrel and showed it the 50 states.
For me personally, when i see Adult Link receiving the Kokiri Emerald. I think back when was playing this game as a kid when i would have never ever thought of something weird and crazy like that. But seeing in the speed run i get an astonished/giddy feeling. And this is why i love speed runs:)
they are all friends and respect eachother for the most part. I don;t think any of them are trying to be disrespectful considering the marathons and the laid back setting
Jaayzen Im well aware its a charity event. But theres a certain amount of respect and time that is supposed to be given to the people actually doing the work for the charity event? which cosmo did not receive here. Theres alot cosmo wanted to say but wasn't able to because the host felt it necessary to read every single first and last donation from start to finish unlike better GDQ hosts that actually give their speedrunners--the people doing the work for the charity--a fair amount of time for themselves. And there's no need to be rude. :o
+Rachel Brown you just seem like a cosmo fangirl who wanted him to talk all the time. They talked about nearly all the tricks and glitches they used and explained everything pretty well in my opinion. Not once was Cosmo interrupted or anything by the host. He didn't really seem to feel bad about it and since this run has dozens of long cutscenes, there was way enough time to explain everything if needed. Don't get me wrong, except for some of them the donation comments are pretty annoying and I always like to see the runners play and hear their commentary. Still, those comments are one of the main reasons people donate and not reading them live would be a really bad idea.
+Kdance013 The entire point was raising money, so the donations should take prominent spot. Next time, you should donate loads of money and request that the host not speak at all. Since you probably wouldn't do that, shut the fuck up.
it was about 3 weeks ago. Cosmo did OoT once again for the marathon but this time he did the any% run which is barebones, it basically goes straight to Ganon's castle.
shoutout from germany ! i'm still watchin but i jsut have to say how awesome your skills in oot are! really enjoying the run. Sick how you got the 3rd shield dude! keep speedrunning, you are awesome!
I really must thank you for totally slaying all my childhood games like this! :) Haha, eventhough it may sound bad, but I do enjoy everyone of these videos and the streams of course:) Keep up the extremely good work, it's much appreciated
if you watch closely around 1:16:50 breakdown is reading comments and says Lunk at the exact moment it appears in the text box. I thought that was pretty cool lol
Holy Shit. Not only is the run ridiculously awesome (and I've been watching OoT regular speedruns and TASes for a few years now), but seeing a non-TAS spirit hover like that actually made me clap IRL along with the crowd, since you never know if he's actually going to make it... was on the edge of my seat :P 1:38:00 onwards... adds a whole new dimension to the run. Awesome.
Wow I just decided to search Ocarina of Time videos because I was feeling all nostalgic, and this came up. I watched the entire thing and am truly blown away I never knew it had come this far, you're awesome dude. And no offense but the donation reader was insanely annoying.
that's a good question. But i think it's more that he's spent a ton of time doing tricks, glitches etc over and over. He's also been on the forums a large amount of time helping out with trick hunting for this game and making videos, so he's clearly come to a point where it's almost 2nd nature for him to perform many of the more intricate speed tricks in this great adventure.
i dont think so but you can rest assured it will be sometime in January 2013 when the next AGDQ will be held. So keep checking speeddemosarchive . com as we get closer to christmas and new years.
I believe he was at 20 minutes at the time of this run too. The difference is that this run is an all dungeon run, and the 20 minute run is any %. Both runs are amazing! :)
MST stands for Medallions, Stones, Trials Basically "all dungeons", which is defined as entering the blue-warp for each dungeon, and then all of the trials, and timing ends with the final blow to Ganon. They can be done in any order as you see Cosmo do here.
Classic Cosmo
"This trick is really hard."
Does it first try.
Now it's..
"This DICK is really hard."
Sucks it dry.
You've waited 8 months for acknowledgement on this genius comment. 8 months too long. I laughed out loud.

1:21:33 - Jordan Simmons - "...Cosmo will you have my babies? Big smiley face! Young, tall, brunette, and a MAN."
It's in the nature of speedrunners to make what they do sound as hard as possible
"It's really hard though so we'll see if I can do it"
Does it perfectly on the first try
This one and Runnerguy2489's 100% run are my 2 favourite OOT speedruns I've seen so far! Awesome stuff!
It's amazing how much the stream has changed from 2012 to 2014.
Who else has been watching this for years? Never gets old. I really feel bad for Cosmo, such a cool guy.
One of the most legendary live speed runs of all time, this was right before the game got really really broken with wrong warp and basically jump started cosmos twitch popularity.
Cosmo is an artist.
Never watched a speed run before other than occasionally looking over at what my boyfriend would be watching, but this was brilliant! I got Ocarina of Time 3D for Christmas and am almost done with it already so figured I'd watch a speed run. Marvelous job!!
Did you beat it?
This is the video that got me into speedrunning.
You heartless man. The donation messages to the runners, the heartwarming stories remind us why we are doing this in the first place (the runners as well as the donators) are the best thing.
AGDQ has come so far, it's amazing. I miss Cosmo, though... incredible speed runner.
I miss him, too.
back before the world went crazy
“The fire dungeon is very hard" proceeds to make it look easier than my ex girlfriend
AGDQ was wildly successful. And based off of the reactions from this game being in the marathon which were positive i have no doubt that the runners are thankful. rip cosmo

1:49:34 Cosmo! You dog, you ;)
get thumbed down son
Jake Walsh I thumbs downed you, not him.
Sweet9964 I thumbed myself
milkywaytoheaven touche'
12 years later and this 'speedrun' is still LEGENDARY, 2012 what a time to be Alive Damn, Cheers to 'Cosmo' and Runnerguy' 🍻🍻
45:56 Goron Leader and Link, "Praise the sun!"
That was awesome dude, I'm glad I spent 2 hours 36 minutes and 14 seconds to watch this freaking awesome run! Well, I was expecting it to be amazing anyways, because it was by Cosmo!
Stunning and brave.
+Sebastian Brinkmann ...Brave for playing a videogame?
Jake Morris It' s a reference to South Park.
This run was definitely the highlight of the marathon with Cosmo saying everything was really hard, but ended up doing nearly all of it on the first try.
They had a small room back then
My favourite speedrun from any marathon, best combination of gameplay + commentary + ahead of its time
Around 2:05:00 Cosmo hits the reset... Right then I had a quick power outage. Cosmo broke the 4th wall and trolled me. =[
I know the feeling. I got onto this vid somehow last night when I was gonna play a game, and just said to myself "I'll watch a little less than a half hour to see how this works." Ended up watching it for 1.5 hours before I realized what had happened XD
Great job guys!
I wonder if I'm the only one who comes back to watch these 🤔
Nope
Nope!
i come back to watch these old videos on a Regular Basis so no you're not the only one
I come back once in a while. Good times.
Whoever says computer games are a waste of time should watch this. Entertaining and raised a ton of cash for charity :)
8 years ago........ damn
Man I love using and seeing other people using glitches. It makes you feel like a genius when you pull it off. The feeling is very euphoric as well.
I guess we're just lucky this game is so broken.
I know these guys do this because they love too and these events are for an AMAZING cause, but man, I would struggle playing there for a 2+ hour "speed" run...glad they do it though. helps a great cause and provides people with entertainment and teaching them
i wish real life was more like OOT. Then i would backflip down the street cause its quicker than regular walking.
backwalk, not backflip
I love how to underpromises and overdelivers every.single.time - EST 3 hours, does it in 2.35. great stuff
Must be cold there.
Had to house-sit my aunt's dogs while they were out camping. This made for the perfect entertainment. Amazing run, so much precision!
Do a Masters Quest speed run!
I was linked to this video from watching some loz skit...I wish I'd known about you guys and this marathon in order to have tuned in live and have been able to donate. Love this run by Narcisstica.

No.

Best Part
they are all friends and respect eachother for the most part. I don;t think any of them are trying to be disrespectful considering the marathons and the laid back setting
Back before AGDQ went corporate and super gay. Back when it was about the games.
Oh wow, the quality jump from this marathon and the most recent is just amazing. Good job to the people you did that!
bigger clap for the end of the run than for the stupid charity donations. good fight lmfao
wow, you are a horrible person.
and your no better calling me a horrible person
Jake Walsh Hate creates hate, Stand up and don't be the start of the chain.
+Jake yes, cause they should totally clap for every donation read, makes sense dude
I actually expected to watch about 10 minutes of this, but I couldn't stop. It's so interesting.
GDQ nowadays is Garbage, this was back when GDQ was truly a Cool event to watch !
Cosmo went out on top after this and was never heard from again
This wasn't a speed run. This was a Donation run with Zelda OoT being played in the background.
+Rachel Brown Don't make me hit you. Jk, but the only thing that I noticed was Cosmo was the only one that doesn't have autism in the fucking room.
+Too rad to be sad You're a special kind of stupid.
+Rachel Brown yeah, you'r right, cause this is a CHARITY EVENT you dumb fuck
Jaayzen
Im well aware its a charity event. I've seen this speedrun twice already, it's literally just so good. SO GOOD, BRAVO COSMO COSMOOIE
Mostly boring dialogue!!!????? :( not just boring dialogue. The best video game dialogue :)
I think that would be the next step in the speed racing community. Finding the bugs, work arounds and such in Master Quest.
I'm so glad they got rid of these "hosts". They talked about the donations and the prizes too damn much
Even though the entire point of this entire event is to get donations for charity and provide incentives for people to donate...
TheSpontaneousPony hello spontaneous pony! Do you tend to jump fences in a spontaneous manner?
+Kdance013 The entire point was raising money, so the donations should take prominent spot. Next time, you should donate loads of money and request that the host not speak at all. Since you probably wouldn't do that, shut the fuck up.
volvagia battle was epic!! i applauded with the rest of them lol XD amazing what you guys are doing here btw, keep it up!!
On today’s episode of “ how many virgins can we fit in one room”
You watch pewdiepie you are a virgin for life ROFL
LMAOOOO 😂😂😂
it was about 3 weeks ago. Cosmo did OoT once again for the marathon but this time he did the any% run which is barebones, it basically goes straight to Ganon's castle.
Who farted at 1:08:28?
I love the reactions of everyone in the room. Bunch of children 😂
Holy sh*t... One of the most technical speedrun I've ever seen. Cosmo really is a master
This man just conquered my entire childhood in 2 hours and 35 minutes.
shoutout from germany ! i'm still watchin but i jsut have to say how awesome your skills in oot are! really enjoying the run. Sick how you got the 3rd shield dude! keep speedrunning, you are awesome!
crazy looking back at these old runs (and sm64) and seeing whats new and whats changed.
They need to do another one of these events. SOON. This one was soooo much fun to watch, and is just as fun to rewatch!!!!!
I really must thank you for totally slaying all my childhood games like this! :)
Haha, eventhough it may sound bad, but I do enjoy everyone of these videos and the streams of course:)
Keep up the extremely good work, it's much appreciated
This made my day.
From New Zealand
I've spend over 30 hours the last two weeks watching different zelda speedruns.. so addictive! life
if you watch closely around 1:16:50 breakdown is reading comments and says Lunk at the exact moment it appears in the text box. I thought that was pretty cool lol

16.5 mins in, this is amazing. What a great cause and an amazing feat!
WOW!! Mad props yo. This is insane!! A true master of the arts.
"Backwalking" is the fastest way to move in OoT. Aside from doing superslides everywhere. But those are much harder.
Thank you, Mr. President for clearing that up.
amazing how far speedrunning has come in this game even from this
Wow I just decided to search Ocarina of Time videos because I was feeling all nostalgic, and this came up. I watched the entire thing and am truly blown away I never knew it had come this far, you're awesome dude. And no offense but the donation reader was insanely annoying.
Oooh the nostalgia I get, from watching this! :D
You guys never fail to amaze me with speed runs.
lol, cosmo's face when he noticed bongo bongo wasn't getting hit at first was priceless
I was always rolling everywhere, thinking it was faster. It's nice to see I wasn't crazy! :))
yea ive only watched the first like 22 mins of the run so far but im already amazed at how effortless he makes it look lol.
that's a good question. But i think it's more that he's spent a ton of time doing tricks, glitches etc over and over. Shigeru Miyamoto is proud that someone has cracked the code of the game.
this is a gem
Wooow im speechless, this is truly unbelievable great job
I love how you guys have a split screan of the game and yourselfs
holy god its amazing seeing all of the skips in this game
I believe he was at 20 minutes at the time of this run too. The difference is that this run is an all dungeon run, and the 20 minute run is any %. Both runs are amazing! :)
Can't wait for Cosmo's Wind Waker Speed Run!
2:29:32 Getting the name Lunk for MM is Bribery. His naming of the game was a Misdirection.
This is amazing. What a master at this game.True respect here.
Its more crazy, when you realize that it was in a few months after this, instead of a year.
MST stands for Medallions, Stones, Trials
Basically "all dungeons", which is defined as entering the blue-warp for each dungeon, and then all of the trials, and timing ends with the final blow to Ganon. They can be done in any order as you see Cosmo do here.
one of the greatest games ever made
Gotta love the best real-time speedrunners.
This just proves the true wonder(s) of this amazing game.
Watch out for OoT 100% tonight around 7ish and then any% by Cosmo right after. Fans donated over $10k to force Cosmo to play lol so it should be good.
I watched this when it was live haha, and it was a fundraiser, so I donated :D
cosmo is an amazing speed runner, this was awesome!
Really great run by cosmo, sad i couldn't catch this one live!
The whole event was a blast.
2 hours of this marathon it is awesome
AGDQ 2013's videos are way more pleasant to watch, that's true, but the run still is awesome :)
