You are spot on. I love short hair and find women with short hair are so trendy and beautiful for women. BTW, if the spouse or boyfriend say it is a game changer, get a new partner.
You were speaking to me in this video! I have been getting pixies off and since I was 15 and have always been attracted to them. Been growing out the latest one since last year and keep trying to find a reason to keep growing it out but find myself running right back to pixie, for all the reasons you mention too. And the claustrophobia thing omg I've never heard anyone else mention this real deal. Thought it was just me! ❤
About feeling feminine with short hair. As a teen, I struggled with accepting my feminine body, I avoided being associated with stereotypical feminine things. And when I was 17, I convinced my parents to let me get short hair and went straight to the 6mm buzzcut :D Ironically, when I looked in the mirror later that day, I felt such a strong surge of this feeling feminine, I've never loved myself before that much. Since then I keep my hair super short.
I live in a rural area and finding a good hairdresser is a huge expense and challenge. I had very long hair and then cut it into a pixie in lockdown. Amazingly while it was stressful getting regular trims, my physical health, allergies and chronic illnesses improved drastically. I wasnt at all expecting that! My husband loves me with short hair and is actually disappointed 😅 that I'm growing it out! Your video is outstanding and offers such a balanced (and occasionally hilarious) viewpoint. Btw im the most boring, vanilla, safe, studious girl on the planet, not edgy at ALL!! 😅😅😅 Kay x
@@shandionline that's an inspired thought! Yes I actually think I looked pretty happy with the short hair but maaannnnnn was it a pain in the arse to find a stylist to help me maintain it!
@@drc4168 girl i cut mine off same day as I replied to your comment myself. It’s surprisingly so easy to do yourself my hair looks amazing no one believes I did it myself lol
I totally agree! That's one of the big parts of me doing it (in two days!). The past year (or few years since COVID) have been hard on my psyche and I'm really looking forward to cutting some of that trauma off my head! Thank you for sharing ❤️@@shandionline
My curl is much like yours. I am a pixie girl. I am trying to grow it into an angled bob. But I may change my mind and keep it short. I have no SERIOUS long hair goals. I am so glàd I came across you. There are so few curly channels with curls like mine.
Ty for the tip. I am now deciding that I'm getting a pixie cut. I just need to get some courage to tell my mom I want it again because last year I said I wanted it, but she said, "Wait a year to make sure, so now I made my decision ty ❤ When I get the haircut, I'll post it on youtube so you can see how it went ❤😊
Between this and part two you have helped me so much! I'm going for it and want to thank you for being so transparent! I know you're going to be a great resource for me time and time again. Thanks again
I always admire pixie cuts but in the end I always stick with my medium length hair. The only affordable salon I trusted enough to touch my hair closed down (thanks, Covid) so I trim it myself. I literally keep it JUST long enough for me to be able to easily reach the back to whack off the ends every once in a while. I have seen too many people with STRAIGHT hair end up with butchered cuts to even want to try a "normal" salon. But a long drive to an expensive specialized salon is just not in the cards. So it's either below the shoulders or a buzz cut for easy self trimming. I don't really want a buzz so... I used to have a goal to grow it really long after it grew like wildfire when I had it cut below my ears before the salon closed but...no. My hair is ALWAYS up because I cannot handle it down. I know it's not good for it, but it's just too irritating to have it down. I'll literally just have it down about once a year for a special occasion. I despise washing it, especially in winter because blow dryers are a nasty sensory overload and I just can't make myself use one. Yeah, I fantasize about pixies.
OMG I’ve been searching for your platform for months now!! Your curly cuts have been my inspiration, my struggle is finding someone who knows how to cut it 😩 I’m not convinced I can do it myself. A few years ago I went buzz cut but that was an easy cut lol so now I need to figure out how to get a cute style this time! I can sooooo relate to the sensory stuff of my hair, I hate it covering part of my face , I always put it up, so it’s like what’s the point of even having it longer length if it’s always up. Can’t wait to go back short, thanks so much for your videos 🤍🤍🤍🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Ahh I’m so glad you found me!! 💜💜 it can be hard to find a stylist who can do it on curly hair, I get it! That’s why I do everything on my own 😅 the sensory stuff is a big motivator and benefit of being short though! I’m glad we relate!!
People are so annoying. I cut my hair and ppl have asked me 'why'. I don't know how to answer that. Any tips? Also how do you wear a hat? Also what style of hat & how to avoid hat hair or ruining it after so much styling? 🤔
As for the questions about why, I would tell them it's hair it will grow back. If I didn't care for them I'd say are you the one paying for it? I wore baseball caps for times when I didn't feel like styling it, but I had a relaxer back then 😊
"Because I wanted to..." You don't need to justify your life decisions to people. If they don't like it, that's nothing to do with you. It's your head!
How long would you say it took you to grow out your pixie cut ? I cut it in January but I have 3c type hair so it’s hard to notice how long would you say I have to be patient for it ! I regret cutting it but how you said u had to press restart in my hair I would appreciate if you would give us some tips on how you grow out your hair ! Thanks ❤

I've had my pixie cut for a week already and I love it❤
Very low maintenance and great for these hot summer days
I really appreciate this video. I am so ready to cut my hair. After I have my babies I notice I always just wanna go short to make it easier on me.

I get thisssss 💜💜 thank you so much for sharing! It’s really powerful to feel MORE feminine when you don’t have the stereotypical long hair! 👏🏽

I’d say ‘why not’ and then pause. Pauses are so powerful. Immediately they’ll realize they have no business and change the topic

Do you accept clients? And if yes, what city are you located
Thank u!
Thank you for watching! 🥰
What is your lip combo though? ❤😊
Hey beauty! I filmed this a year ago but I found it😂 it was GXVE beauty pout to get real lip liner in “do whatever” and Dior lip oil in “mahogany”♥️♥️
