- Hi friends! It was finally time to cut off my hair and give it a fresh start. The top third layer just WOULD NOT cooperate or respond to straightening or styling. It had so much breakage and shedding and it feels 100% better now! I can't wait to try a bunch of styles for short hair!

You were made for short hair cuts. Excellent bone structure. I envy you. btw, I was told to shampoo my scalp two times. Yup, works for me. I use redkin. You take your baby with you everywhere and it shows. Such a calm sercure and comfortable baby💕
Thank you so much! My son loves to tag along everywhere haha. The grocery store is his absolute favorite! And yes, I've found washing twice is actually helping so I'm going to keep that up!
Me, too, with the sudsing twice. It makes a fairly big difference.
I definitely alway shampoo twice too. If you keep your scalp clean and healthy, it will definitely grow better hair.
I cut my hair very short when I suddenly lost half my already-thin hair due to female pattern baldness. It looked so much better! Also, a volumizing gel or mousse helps it look thicker when I blow dry it. You look so beautiful with your pixie, and I adore the way the back looks with your curls.

With your face...anything looks gorgeous. I had hair loss during menopause, then my husband's illness just took it over the edge, due to stress You could see my scalp on the top. It was very alarming. I looked into supplements and nutrition targeting hair specifically and thankfully hair started growing back. I still shed a lot and consequently having constant little regrowth fuzzy baby hairs to contend with, but they at least cover my scalp. Also be aware of radiation exposure from cell phones, wifi's, microwave ovens, etc. All contributing factors. Take iodine drops for thyroid health. It's all connected. Your body knows hair is on the bottom of the vital totem pole, so it's the first go to.

That's what happened to me, although I didn't suffer hormonal hair loss until 60. That year, I lost half my hair. I just started getting it back again taking bioting and soy when my husband had an operation. I went almost totally bald on top. After that, I added 5% topical Rogaine to my regimen - the big guns - and at least I'm not bald anymore. 😮 I tried letting my hair grow out from short cut, but it looked so straggly that ended up cutting it very short again a couple of days ago.
Would idodine drops help someone with no thyroid? I had a thyroidectomy in 2017 because of thyroid cancer. My hair hasn’t been thick since.

I have been going back and forth about the pixie cut due to thinning hair but my face isn’t symmetrical and it’s a square shape sooooooo but you definitely rock that cut! I still may cut mine. Just trying to build up the courage b/c I know it needs to be done!

I’m actually going through the same thing I shed hair like crazy hair falling everywhere getting bald spots in my forhead and that has gave alot of sadness and depression I always thought the same thing that hair is what defines you but I guess I was wrong is our beauty.. And I decided to cut my hair shoulder length myself. I can't go to the hairdresser because I have sores in my scalp, and it's hard to explain where to touch and where not to. So... haircut sis here too! 😊
You just randomly popped up in my feed, but there are no accidents. I never had THICK hair, but have had hair loss issues since the mid 1990s due to too much male hormones. Then, I lost MORE hair after a forced jab to keep my job in 9/2021. Add to that...menopause as I'm 56. Anyway, your short cut looks GREAT and I might go back to a pixie. What IS helping (at least with the too much androgens part) is that since 4/2022 I've been sleeping with essential rosemary oil on my scalp. I've got a lot of 3" hairs now as some of my hair is trying to come back.

This is so brave of you and looks really good on you!! I’ve been following you for the past few weeks. I have had androgenic alopecia issues for the past 6 years or so… however my first daughter gave me a full head of beautiful hair & my second daughter has completely reverted it back to worse than it was prior to ever being pregnant. I always had thin hair, but a full head of it which I loved! Now it’s spotty and sparse .. My hairline is shot and is horrifyingly thin, I’ve been taking every supplement under the sun for months& just know it’s my hormones & on and off birth control for many years. I just started diving into wigs the last few weeks which is also a major adjustment! But they do help me feel better when I’m wearing them. I am however soo afraid to cut down to a pixie length- which now it’s like a Bob length- but the density is just shot… It is not incredibly depressing and scary to go through this at 32. Thank you for sharing your journey!

You might end up loving a pixie! But I know that's a big step. It can be comforting holding on to the thin hair that's left! It's less scary if you have good wigs to wear out all the time 🤍
