I didn't expect another early 90s person to not recognize the Randall T2. This was an absolute icon in the mid to late 2000s. A hybrid amp, that was used absolutely everywhere, most famously by Arch Enemy. It was also the last in-house development by Randall, before they started buying boutique builder designs, first Egnater, then Fortin.
Thank you for making a great video Ray! Your mixes and music sound amazing. Love it, please keep sharing it! If I may ask, what audio interface do you use?
I have the all access pass using it on a mix currently I’m going to try out that eq and the fresh air plug-in seems interesting. There’s a lot I haven’t really gotten to experiment with yet on there.
If I had to guess, the drums are probably some kind of populer sampler like from steven slate drums. A lot of those samplers are already heavily processed to be mix-ready.
Could someone tell me what type of drum beat this is considered as? I have midi packs for metal core and thrash but can’t seem to find a groovy one like this. I’m not at the level where I make my own midi drums yet.
Yo Ray I've been trying to get my Mix game up and I wanted to ask how you'd eq your guitars in Standard E? I know you said Double Drop C in the vid but for sure the lows and highs aren't the same? Would appreciate any help but if not dope ass video homie! 🤘🤘
also most recent or modern macs will run this without breaking a sweat! and ofc theres windows alternatives that will work just as well if you prefer that system :)
You don’t want any low end on guitars? LMAO, where do you people come up with this? Go listen to some of your favorite tones in isolation, massive amounts of low end on ALOT of them, i guarentee it. Total and complete nonsense .
@@armando.pozzulo yea thanks, again, stop listening to talking heads on RUclips and use your ears and listen to some of your favorite tones isolated. There is much, much more low end AND high end than you think.

TH-U is my favorite amp software by far. So glad you are giving it some love. It sounds soooooo good.

That compressor sounds amazing. Nice mix also!
Would be awesome to see the mastering process as well! Great video!
thanks so much for the breakdown!

I wish a productive month to every one. Ray share your presets if it is possible for THU. Thnx
Steven slate plug-ins are the the best!
Great video!!🔥🤘
Great Tutorial !
That’s def a Randall T2 sim!
Ray,
I don't think you've done a video on the drums you use. What are they?! A video on that would be awesome.
Further more a drum mix video is always appreciated 🤣

Think he uses superior drummer 3

Add a Low cut at 90Hz, notch on 4k, and high cut on 10k and you're ready to go!
What kind of computer do you use? This layout looks great but I think it’d be a bit much on a laptop.
Pretty sure he is using Garage Band. at least, it looks like mine
@@escapethechains hes using logic! which is essentially garageband plus :)

Hi, if anyone has any guitar they don't need I'll be happy to take it. Poor guy. Thx.

The low end comes from the bass
