What a lovely neat job both👍 Great matching of bricks and so neat as always. That mortar mix in the beginning looked delicious and almost good enough to eat. 😋
Hi Steve and Alex. I’m on holiday and can’t keep of the building work lol. Great little number not to much graft and mainly brick work. Nice neat work guys🧱🧱👍
Lots of conservatories being demolished or altered now, dwarf wall back in late 80s, cheapest extension you could have, now, brick and bi-fold is the way to go, nice little job you have there 👍🧱
Cracking match for the bricks lads .Jobs come thick and fast dont they .You got a lot of work booked up. Hi Guys. I'm not a builder so please excuse my ignorance, but just wondering why there isn't a vertical break & a DPM in the existing wall where it joins the inner & external walls which Alex is building. p.s. love watching your channel.
I've worked on that house they are a lovely couple I had the job of replacing failed doors in the kitchen not the best kitchen I've come across tbh it wanted ripping out and refitting
Steve / Alex, that mix looks superb what’s the ratio, also I’m building a raised planter out of blocks what’s the best blocks to use I.e breeze blocks and will a single block 2 high be strong enough ? Just to put decorative stone in, love you guys so good in in your work and I wish you lived in the North east lol 👏👏

Hi chaps. How do you know the footings/foundations are up to the job? Curious, as I'd like to replace my cony with a sun room.
We haven’t added a lot of weight to this job but digging test holes to check the footings is usually the way forward 🧱👍🏽
whats your mix for laying bricks is it 3 to 1 and it is looking really good thanks for the video

Hi Rob , thanks .
We mix 4 building sand to 1 cement . The important part is the concentrated plasticiser .
Use 7 Newton solid blocks 👌🏼🧱👍🏽
Brilliant guys and thank you, keep up the brilliant and neat work 👍

When I make mortar it is more like wet sand. When you mix mortar it is more like a soft creamy marzipan. Why?
it depends on the sand but mostly the plasticizer 😉🧱👍🏽
