This is what I understand from the music video: He's gay and the way he deals with bullying is to use the hate to fuel his passion for dancing and because when he dance time freezes and all the bullying cannot hurt him anymore.

We need more male ballet dancers. I don't know why it's considered to be 'meant for girls'. A guy could like this just as much as a girl does, and has full rights to dance whatever he chooses. We need to think of our fellow guys more.
StrawberryHero I know you made this comment a long time ago but fun little fact (I think) ballet was created for men I think it created for the war or something but men used to do ballet and women didn’t and then suddenly women started to do ballet. I can’t remember why ballet was for men but I remember reading about it or hearing about it somewhere

i mean american football players tend to do ballet to help with balance and the like. so bulky dudes who draw warpaint on their faces and wear shoulder pads in front of thousands of people may also pointe shoes and tights

I think the bullies aren't real, they're metaphors for his previous bullies, whether it be for being gay or doing dance ( a feminine sport), they existed prior in his life but now are more of reminders. Notice how time froze when he was dancing, it was as if he was showing his inner demons he didn't care, and would live as his most authentic self.
I'm a boy in an all boys secondary or high school ( it's common to get single sex schools in england, I'm not sure about anywhere else) and I do ballet but if anyone from my school knew, I would be bullied until I have to to change school. it happened to my friend but being a good friend, he still kept my secret for me.

Um not really, those schools were mostly created during victorean era when Women were basically differed a bit from boys. Nowadays most are co-educational and the ones which are still single sex are existing from a long time, not recently created or anything. I believe the Labour party put forward to make school coeducational, not sure about that but that won't go anywhere lol, because May....
And mate, don't worry, i mean like i adore cello and violin soooo much, instruments which are mostly associated with girls. You can get many boys nowadays who will insult you for that but i still admire it and will continue to. And ballet, thats something i myself would love to do but unfortunately i am bad at dancing and i don't think i can cope up with ballet now because i am 16 and it seems too late as most ballet dancers start young.
Anyway don't let others decide what you are, you do because you are you and nobody can take that from you

I don't really think he fell in love with his dancemate. I think this is about how things get difficult anywhere when people know you're gay. I think this is about how hard people can misstreat you and push you away when you're gay, cause they're "afraid of what people would think" if you're seen with them.
