In high school I had an unbearable crush on one of the other players on the tennis team. He was called Chris. The words in this song perfectly describe the way I used to feel, sitting there, watching him play. The Adidas Shorts, The K-Swiss tennis shoes, the Prince Aluminum Racket, a perfect asymmetrical haircut that would fly around his face as he played. Ahhh. I never did get to kiss that boy. God... so many years have passed since I first watched this video, can't believe how much time has passed and how far have I've come, incredible. At the time I was just a queer kid trying to find out what was going on with me, I remember searching "gay boy kiss" on youtube, I would binge watch those videos... Now that I did have kissed a boy, I barely remember what did it felt like: this feeling of uncovering a mistery, the butterflies in the stomach like it was a mistake, a sin. I couldn't be more wrong. The nostalgia of those days that was brought back rewatching this mv now feels amazing, feels so good to remember what it felt like, kinda like picking up piesces of myself I lost along the way. Thank you so much for putting this amazing project out there, it helped me so much and sure did to uncountable other people out there. Queer people exist, we are here and we deserve to be seen and respected like anyone else, we're all humans.

I was thirteen when I found this song for the first time. I stumbled upon it one night of watching gay short movies, trying to figure out who I am. Listening to this song was the first time I cried because of the beauty of love and the unfairness we have to face. Over the years, I've come back several times, just to relive that night's emotions. For me, "First Time He Kissed a Boy" was a realization. I am now almost 18, and I'm proud of my sexuality and gender identity.

I just discovered this song. I LOVED IT and then found the video. It was awesome... because growing as gay kid in a small town, I had experiences like the one in this video. I mean, small encounters, gay popular kids in the closet kissing you when nobody was watching... the moment the legs touched, the thrill, the excitment, they are all really well portraid and the photography is amazing. This experiences and vital moments that gay people go through usually are not shown in the media. And that catharsis is powerful and sometimes much needed. It will be hard to accept at first but be proud of who you are. It took me a year to accept myself (part of it was because I knew my parents would not accept me right away). Well, smoking aside (there are much worse things people can do), I find this to be a very tastefully created music video. It does not come across as if it is "preaching", nor "promoting" homosexual love. In contrast, the market for heterosexual love videos is oversaturated. It's about time our society recognized that Love comes in more than one form. This is a very sweet and tender story.
