The Abbott brothers are why I love metal. Dime is my favorite guitarist and Vinnie is one of my favorite drummers that, as a fellow Texan, got me teaching myself to play both instruments. Rip to Vinnie Paul and Dime. My favorite brotherly duo in metal 🤘🏾.
As a bass player my.friend Mike was real good,at drums. He studied VP methods and fills, as well as DC from Tool. We were best friends, and loved Pantera .he died at 26, I'm now 44 and still miss my Pantera friend, and drummer Mike Bailey. If it wasn't for the Abbotts we never would've got to rock together! Rip VP🔥🍻💪✌️🤙🙏And Rip MB.. see you on the other side Bro👊.
I miss you Vinnie and still hold the memory of running in to you well shopping with my new born “oldest he’s now 13” and how you told how damn lucky I am and that I have good looking kid. Dude was a legend with a heart of gold,he was as real as it gets and a pure soul.
It’s so sad what happened to Vinnie. I couldn’t imagine seeing your brother and best friend shot dead right next to you. Arguably the greatest guitarist to ever do it. Poor guy. Pantera is legendary and a big part of their sound is because of VP. RIP
I think it was because he was in so much shock from the experience and because it wasn’t too long after Pantera split. I think it’s absurd too, but Phil is definitely not to blame. The gunmen should definitely be held accountable. Also, from what I heard, the gunmen was a schizophrenic. I don’t know if that’s true, but I dunno. I guess he thought Damageplan was stealing his songs even though he wasn’t a song writer. The whole thing is awful.
I'm going to drop a crazy ass theory - Dimes death was a political assassination perpetrated by the United States Air Force. The assassin is a Manchurian candidate under mind control by synthetic telepathy (electromagnetic frequencies forced into the candidates brain by a military satellite) Direct energy weapons are very real, ask the people in Maui. Truth is stranger than fiction and the government absolutely hates American citizens.
RIP Vinnie & Dime! I truly think if Dime hadn’t been taken so early, Vinnie might have stayed around a little longer, but like I said before, if it’s your time, it’s just your time. So we will never know. I just know he took that death as hard as one could, and that had to impact his health
Vinnie was a master. I feel he doesn't get enough credit, at least outside of the metal genre fans. The guy is a legend, along with Dime. His grooves are some of the best in drumming ever. Hands down.
I got to meet him outside the H.O.B. @ Mandalay Bay in Vegas. Was there to see Killswitch. We were keeping it cool, but I didn't want to say anything about his brother or give condolences, but there was a moment there, where I knew He knew & we both got teary-eyed & then we said are goodbyes. He was with Matt, singer for BFMV. They were in Arizona and drove over for the show.
@@EdCollects I feel fortunate. You know, when you go see a band, you never think it will be your last time seeing them. My 72 Seasons review short is out.
Coronary.....artery disease........NO...............Vinnie died from a broken heart......and he was one of the greatest drummers EVER......R.I.P.....Vinnie and Darrell........

Oh hell yeah! They're legends! 🤘🤘🤘
Just out of curiosity what are your favorite drummers that you'd rank above Vinnie?

Crazy that Dime was killed almost 20yrs ago. Damn, time flies.

Right?! What a tragedy...
Definitely. After CFH, they had me hooked and got better over the years.
I don’t understand how Vinnie could blame Anselmo for the death of his brother. That’s absurd. Why do the gunmen never get blamed for their actions?

Right, who knows how their lives would have been if Darrell wasn't killed.

I wouldn’t be able to live with the fact that I saw my brother die literally before my eyes
Right? I couldn't even imagine.
Saw hell yeah live in Texas he was one of the greatest drummers that ever lived
Yeah, he was an amazing drummer! I never got to see him.
Dime and Vinnie are sorely missed. A pair of greats from the same family is so rare. R.I.P.

It's so sad the way both Vinnie Paul and dimebag died, Vinnie died on his sleep and dimebag was assassinated horribly.
Yeah I agree, horrible!
Met him the year he died. Awesome guy. What's even cooler...my name is Vinnie, I was born in March and I'm a Cowboys fan too. Knew he was a good dude!
That's very cool. He seemed like a cool guy.
RIP Vinnie

I saw their last 8 Dallas Texas shows!! I miss them so much 💔😢
For real though 💯💯💯🚳
😢RIP cant believe its been 5 years already
I wish he was still with us.
Dimebag was supposed to start drums and Vinnie the guitar. BUT Dime didn´t wanna play drums and vs Vinnie not the guitar so they switched
I think they made the right choices there!
Died of a broken heart
😔😔😔
