Being single isn't easy but it's better than being thirsty taking any little drop of water offered. And Little Black Book is right, AD sexualizes herself so of course others will. She acts like she has nothing else to bring to the table and I hope one day she realizes she has more value than she thinks.
She even mentioned while she was in the pods that she wanted to be seen for more than just her body. She was rolling her eyes at Clay when he was saying he wanted a woman with lips, hips, and body, but she went with it.

And black women are not monoliths. But she reminds me of a woman who will do anything to be “chosen”, even though I do think deep down she knows she’s better than that.
Oh Kojo did his big one with the attention/never looking within, and being good-looking all your life/never having a personality. This is something notice a lot and think about.
I love the point kojo makes about how people choose their mirror. I’ve been saying the same thing since they all went to their everyday lives. Everyone who exists does this, but this season highlighted it more than any other season, how people cross paths with people who are a mirror of them. Anything we did or didn’t like about one person, their partner had that exact quality that was just expressed in their own little ways.
This is why I never believe just one person is totally in the wrong in a toxic relationship. You attract crazy, unstable, unavailable, etc etc for a reason 😩😩
I can’t be the only one who saw AD exercise dissociation during the reunion. Like she must be a pro at it by now and it’s really sad, I wish I could hug her 😣
I agree about the budget not being the reason.. for instance you can buy lashes for $2.. it was her choice to wear old lashes on her wedding day. But I do agree about not having professional makeup If I was Sarah and wanted Jeremy I would’ve waited to see if Jeramy and Laura make it before reaching out.. not when they just got engaged and in the honeymoon phase
This. If a man is really gonna break up his relationship for you, let him prove his words and do it on his own. Zach was way done with his relationship and a free agent BEFORE he reconnected with Bliss.
Yeah the budget wasn't the reason. Lauren season one had black men doing her makeup and I think they were MUA. So it's not about the budget or about white people not being able to do black makeup
I totally agree with most of what you said, but I have to point something out that bugged me as a psychology major. You DO absolutely have to connect with your therapist, if you cannot connect with your patient, then you have the obligation (if you consider yourself a good psychologist) to advise them to look for someone who can understand them and ultimately be of help. You are not obligated to commit to one therapist just because they are the first one you have seen.
That’s so true. I’ve connected so well with one therapist and had such great progress and after my location changed it’s not like I didn’t want therapy to continue but the connection just hasn’t been as good and it makes a big difference in how you respond.
THANK YOU for sharing this. I thought it was insensitive of Jess to again punch down on Clay about seeking a fit for therapy. Prioritizing your wellness and healing sometimes means finding a fit , and who knows if finding a therapist that can better serve Clay was a recommendation from the therapist. My ex had an older White woman therapist and she was responsible enough to realize that she couldn't help when it came to resonating with him as a Black man in America.
Yes it definitely takes time to find the right fit for you. In therapy you are sharing the deepest parts of you and it’s very important to find someone that you feel safe with otherwise you’re not going to open up.
AD is just as emotionally unavailable as Clay. If Clay was emotionally open and ready for love and marriage, AD wouldn’t know what to do with that because she’s so used to chasing in a relationship 🤷🏽♀️
I don’t want to diminish a dark skin woman’s experience. I’m considered to be a “light skinned” Black woman to Black ppl. When I went to an HBCU, that was when I was called for the first time a “red bone.” Although I got a lot of attention from Black men for being the light skinned woman with light eyes, those Black men weren’t interested in loving me. Yes, they flaunted me around like a trophy and made it a competition to get with the “pretty light skinned girl on campus” but I had a hard time finding love and commitment from a Black man too. So much so that I married a White man. Before that I had a serious relationship with a Black man who kept calling me his “little White girl” and said that he preferred light skinned women. I was very young back then and did not know that I was being used because of the color of my skin. Nonetheless, love is what we as Black women should be after, not attention. That is why I say that regardless of what Clay’s preference was, he would not have married AD if she was light skinned because he was NEVER looking for a commitment. I would even dare to say that Clay would have flaunted AD around if she was light skinned just like I was paraded around, but he would still only use a light skinned woman’s light skin as a trophy to the world that he’s fucking a “red-bone.” Just my experience.
LittleBlackBook clocked it. It does suck if AD did not have stylists to do her makeup but it is still her responsibility to value her face/hair because at the end of the day, you cant point your finger to everyone else on why you’re presented a certain way. When Brent ran into issues on his wedding day, he took care of it himself bc it was important to him. She did not care about these things as much as she cared about her body and it did her a disservice.
Idk. Would it really make an impactful difference if she did put more effort into her face/hair? Does that include reconstructive surgery? I only ask, but the issue could be rooted in featurism and no amount of moisture can change that. Kojo even said that a person's most valued attributes (by societal standards) get the most attention. Self care is great, but what does it really mean? She wears makeup. Not every day is gonna be a runway. She may not see the point. If she does change up, a different guy for sure. Too much damage with clay, but everyone knows that already
@@jadacampbell9331 How does “value your face/hair” result in plastic surgery? The point is she didnt invest on presenting herself well for both body and face. Her makeup and hair was not done decent knowing she would be on tv all the way up to her wedding day. In that way, she did herself a disservice. That has nothing to do with her features.
I completely agree with Kojo and his takes, ESPECIALLY the colorism piece. I do not feel it’s fair to project colorism onto Clay solely based on our historical experiences as black women.
22:11 Thabk you Jessie!! I hate when they say it’s not all black men. We know that but there are way too many. It’s not only tv it’s real life day to day experiences of black men openly being colorist
I agree with Kojo once again. Like come on how much are lashes bro. She couldn’t buy a new pair. She could of hired a makeup artist. These things aren’t 100s of dollars.
Actualllly depending on the type of artist (like especially if they’re the IG type of artist) one look could cost $160+ and it just goes up from there 🥶😅artists have been setting their prices up now to reflect how long their work takes & usage of product depending on the type of look booked.
@@TheCRYSTALLURE that is true but sticking to Kojo point. You can tell she didn’t care to make sure her face would be on point. Even if she did her own makeup she couldn’t get new lashes at least
The British guy is completely right about the attraction and money piece thing. AD sees her body as her one main physical attribute, so she draws allll attention to it. As someone in her 30s, if she gave as much attention to her face as she gives her body, she would know how to do her makeup at this age, or know to INVEST in a makeup artist for her own wedding day. But she doesn’t value her face card, so she neglects it, and puts all effort into showing her body.
That makes me go back to his comment about how Clay said if they had kids, she had to get the her ass in the mf'n gym. Kind of like without it, she's nothing.
What she doesn’t neglect her face. Girls teeth are clean and white. Her hair looks fine, her skin is clear, and her makeup is nice. The only thing you can knock her on are those stupid lashes. Idk what you are talking about that she doesn’t take care of her face
@patb2582 I may be wrong...but I'm hoping and thinking that what was meant was AD doesn't give the attention to her face too as far as aesthetics. She's got style and cleary appears to be very healthy. She is intelligent and witty. But, she doesn't present that she truly believes it. Your wedding day is a huge deal if you've placed value in marriage. And you prep to the fullest to feel and look your absolute best to be your upmost wow you ever were! And to do your own face that day is a bit🙃
@@There87Akin ok I get what you are saying but I thought her makeup on her wedding day looked beautiful. Like literally what am I missing?? The only thing that was messed up were her lashes, as usual!
@@patb2582 I feel like she does neglect her face. AD has on multiple occasions gone on national TV with ZERO makeup. Not wearing makeup IRL is one thing, but the camera picks up everything, and lighting can make dark skin look beautiful or make it look dull. AD went on camera with no eyebrows, and under eye circles. She wouldn't be caught dead on camera in PJs like she rolled out of bed (and her body was on point at all times). So I'm trying to figure out WHY she would go on TV with uneven skin and no eyebrows KNOWING that people judge and the camera picks up any and every imperfection. I think that shows where she invests her energy-its all in her body. FYI, I've seen people zoom in on CLAY and discover that he is missing teeth. I've also seen people zoom in on Jeramey's teeth while he was talking to Sarah Ann and he had entire popcorn kernels stuck in his teeth. AD should've come prepared.
I will ALWAYS be grateful to my mom for being a mom that apologized my entire life. She would write me notes after augments, she would tell me in person, text me all the time. To this day she apologizes about stuff from my childhood that I’ve already forgiven her for. Unfortunately my dad was very similar to Clay’s dad in that he was a West Indian man that was proud and never apologized. We had way more serious conversations but I never got an apology from him before he died and I will forever be grateful for my mom who overly apologized to me! 🙏🏽💜
Remember in the text messages that leaked with Trevor's ex-girlfriend. Trevor said he met somebody on the plane and they both agreed that they wouldn't be getting married at the end of the process. I honestly think that was Clay .
Right?! I was confused as to why it is a problem. Not every therapist is gonna be a perfect match for you. I’m not even a Clay fan but people are getting so hyperfixated on seeing a problem with any and everything he says or does it’s getting ridiculous. I can’t imagine what that does to somebody’s psyche.
Too many assumptions when it comes to Clay not liking her because of her skin color. Maybe he just didn’t like her like that. He said himself he wasn’t in love…
I apologized to my children. And, I make it a point to own up to my stuff. I want them to know that I love them that much that I can risk them knowing what my issues were and are. And, I want them to feel as if they can tell me how they felt and feel.

Laura’s Mom told her she talks too mean to Jeremy. I was laughing how Jeremy was enjoying them jet skis “I’m Jeremee - I’m Freee !
Laura’s parents told Jeremy she will take over😂😂
LittleBlackBook clocked it.
I didn't notice her makeup being bad but those darn lashes really take away from her beauty and cheapen her look.
I completely agree with Kojo and his takes, ESPECIALLY the colorism piece. I do not feel it’s fair to project colorism onto Clay solely based on our historical experiences as black women.
AD’s look on the reunion show? What’s 4+4? 8!!!! 🔥
Inappropriate and shows what she leads with . We must leave something to the imagination!
@@loyaltyb71052😂. She did look good, but You are right.
This collab was everything! Thank you 🤍
22:11 Thabk you Jessie!! I hate when they say it’s not all black men. We know that but there are way too many. It’s not only tv it’s real life day to day experiences of black men openly being colorist
I love what he said about the mirror because yes we have to take accountability ladies men can only hurt us if we let them in
Not Jess negating how absolutely STUNNING her face is. It's at least as gorgeous as her body.
She is definitely not
This is beautiful guys!!!!! At my big age of 35 I learnt so much here! LOVED this
I agree with Kojo once again. Like come on how much are lashes bro. She couldn’t buy a new pair. She could of hired a makeup artist. These things aren’t 100s of dollars.
I could hear her bat her eyes with those lashes.
😂😂
I kept commenting this and wished they asked who the person was at the reunion
I think it was Jimmy
It’s the background for me 🤣🤣🤣
QueenE CRUSHING IT and my girl Jessie dropping atom bombs of insight...love this collab!
Switching therapists until you find one that fits is super common. That's what you're supposed to do
Omg LOOK AT GOD 😍Jessie doing it for the womenz during International Womenz Month 😘
Jessieee (my girl), Kojo and my favorite the Kin of READS all together 🥳🥳😍😍😍🫶🏽 I love this!!!
With QueenE as a cherry on top!!! 🍒 ⭐️
@@ac4007 YASSSS!😃
“But you’re African” is sending so bad bc real😭😭😭
Jessie thank you so much for putting this review together and getting us hip to these other amazing black content creators!
Too many assumptions when it comes to Clay not liking her because of her skin color. Maybe he just didn’t like her like that. He said himself he wasn’t in love…
“Give grace to blk men” yea no lol also a round of applause for Queen E’s mom
I apologized to my children. And, I make it a point to own up to my stuff. I want them to know that I love them that much that I can risk them knowing what my issues were and are. And, I want them to feel as if they can tell me how they felt and feel.
i LOVE this collab!!!! even though i often hold differing points of view from Jessie Woo & King of Reads, i really enjoy listening to them and get a lot from their perspectives.
please do more of these!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Y’all keep highlighting her skin tone tho which is kind of counterproductive and projecting
I really love this panel and should have these four more often ❤
Kojo is very articulate and reflective!
LittleBlackBook91 said a whole WORD @48:16 , That was the truth right there!
I have never watched a season of love is blind but do I watch reviews about it? Yes
Same 😂 here for the personalities & commentary!
We need more of this panel together reviewing hot topics together ❤❤❤
I hate how low vibrational I feel towards the end discussing Kenneth’s sexuality. Very disappointing.
Same
Ok Little Black Book....he said a word there with that mirror that we don't be liking to look in. YES I can see a little of that healer in me myself.
Kojo is right about where people place value
Love seeing you dancing to Waterfalls like I do 😄💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Loved loved this live, great job all
you👏🏾 Loved all your intelligent perspectives and analysis and the laughs. Didn’t want it to end! This is a great diverse panel from beautiful black people in the diaspora and we love to see it. Would love to see collab in the future.
This was so good. Multiple opinions and view points and not once did someone talk over another. Love this!
That comment Jessie, when you said when you created Waterfalls, you thought it was corny, and so you kept it in your back pocket for years...wow...that's a word on its own.
I wonder how many of us (myself included) created something and dismissed it not knowing God has other plans for it. Whatever else you're keeping from us Jessie...release it!! You never know what God will use if you don't shoot your shot and take all the chances. I love that you said you'll be releasing others as well. Your work ethic is unmatched ma'am.
Waterfalls is living rent free in my head and has me feeling myself, and it shall be on repeat till further notice. Would it be possible to get a lyric video for Waterfalls?
❤❤❤❤❤
This was such a great panel, I really enjoyed this, great job Jessie! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This was great with so many unique and great perspectives! This should be a regular segment.
I love collaborations with all of these channels. Thanks guys, this was great
love this , the topics, the depths of the conversation. And the total beauty of the panel.
Awesome panel with excellent commentary. You all make me want to watch the show again. Thank you, and
Happy Black Women, Black Women History Month.🎉🎉🎉
I was so excited for this when I saw who was on the panel. Thanks Jessie we love this on this Friday
This was a great panel! Really enjoyed everyones POV. I’ve been following King of Reads for years but were not familiar with the other two. Thanks for the introduction.
Queen E reppin Canada! Love to see you on this platform. Great perspectives added to the convo.
AD’s look from the neck down was beautiful, from the neck up her hair and makeup was lacking. She looked like she was just trying on her dress in the wedding shop. I was shocked when she said yes at the altar.
Just started watching the video but I just had to say I love “Waterfalls”! I sing along every time…chasing me like waterfalls 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
I’m so disappointment I missed this live! Ugh loving all the beautiful black content creators 🎉
I’m so happy you played all of waterfalls in the start of this!!! Such a good song
Kojo!! U my guy spoke nothing but facts
LittleBlackBook91 is right. AD does lead with her BODY.
The content is CONTENTING Jessie! This was very therapeutic ❤
I really love everyone’s insight but Kojo CLEARED CLAY 🤣
The mirror analogy kojo mentioned was on point
This was such a great panel! I follow all the creators separately! Great show y'all ❤❤
Kojo was preaching and spot on!!! 👏🏾👏🏾
Absolutely loved y’all collaboration! Each POVs were so on point!
AD did a really insightful interview on Kamie Crawfird’s Relationsh*t podcast, it just dropped today.
