Grandpa Gus makes a great mouse deterrent product you can purchase on Amazon. We live in New England and our RV is in storage all winter. These packets work GREAT!
We store our camper on a farm and so far (knock on wood) have had good luck with Fresh Cab as a repellant. It smells a little but seems to work well. It would be good in your basement.
I don’t blame Sherri for freaking out about mice. They can do some damage. We’ve been lucky, never had any in the coach but several years ago, while camping at Monument Valley, the bumper pull trailer next to us had her hitch wires chewed overnight. The mouse was gone, but a repair was necessary. Very good ( and some funny parts) video. Thank you
We have to have a mouse prevention strategy for when our RV goes into service. Where one mouse away from Sherri never going back into the RV 😅. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Looks like you guys had a blast despite of the mouse. We stayed at Bull Run Regional Park in VA this weekend. Caught a concert as well. #weekendwarriors
The public service announcements and the way your soon looked at you when he moved his face really close to yours had me totally cracking up. We recently saw mouse signs and did pretty much all you guys did. Although I am not afraid of mice, I don't want them in my rv as they can cause quite a bit of damage. Hope yours are all gone now and happy travels!
John, The best mouse trap is a garter snake. Just round one up in the campground and toss it in the camper. Problem solved! :) But going forward, might be a good idea to set up a few traps outside the RV when at a camp site. Better to trap them before they get inside then after the fact. I live in the country and don't have mice in the house, but I have probably 7-8 traps around the the perimeter of the house baited w/peanut butter. Plus an occasional garter snake in the yard if I'm lucky.
A mouse hitchhiker from time to time is just part of RV’ing.m. They usually get in by climbing up the sewer hose or power cable. Just get some traps from Lowes/Home Depot and set them out. You should be able to catch them within 24 hours. Happened to us twice and was able to get rid of them within the first overnight and all was good.
@@clay3580 thanks for the tip. We've had traps down for a week and nothing caught. John says it's probably gone. Fingers crossed 🤞 😊. I think you're right about the sewer line/power cord. Everything else seems to be well sealed.
John could be right and they may be gone. They tend to favor the same spots so if you discovered their droppings, clean them up and see if droppings reappear in the coming days. If not then they may be gone. Also, use peanut butter as bait in the traps. The liquid bait that comes with the trap is useless but peanut butter is like gold.
Sherri, oh my goodness!!! I would have been in the Jeep with you!!! I'm terrified of mice. I'm not going to laugh at all. I broke my foot badly when a mouse got in my house and had the nerve to run over my foot. I jumped into the tub and was standing there like a flamingo. Foot broke in two places. Sherri, forget the plug in....I want the critter DEAD!!!! I didn't sleep with Daryl either until he caught the mouse. That's old time mouse trap John had is the only thing that works in my book. The DEATH trap!!! I love the Lord, but I don't why mice exist. LOL!!! UGH!!!
Yes! Someone who gets it! I almost shot my foot with a 22 rifle when a pack of mice ran over my feet. Sorry about the break. Like you I just can't be around mice!
I love love you guys. Sorry your deathly Afraid of mice. I think you have enough 🪤 to catch any that remain. Happy Birthday John and Sherri Son. Can’t wait for your next adventure. John you are truly blessed and a brave soul. Bye for now
lol my fiance would have done the same thing so don’t feel bad . She would have never went in the RV again she would have posted the RV for sale right from that campground lol
Well, as much as I want to give you a hard time and show you a diagram of how much bigger you are than the mouse and all of that, I understand what a "phobia" is! I am crazy afraid of tight spaces, claustrophobic and I hate it. But, no matter how I try to get over it... that's just not going to happen. I want to tease you more, but once again, I get it, and I would NOT want anyone to try locking me in a closet to test me! I am sure the traps will work fine if that tiny mouse has not already left.
I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but mice can easily get into cars. You should have just gone to a hotel. Wait, they have mice too. You should have gone to a 24-hour diner and just spent the night there, drinking tea. WAIT, THEY HAVE MICE TOO! Well, the one place you should have slept is your RV; at least you know where the mouse is in there... 😮👍🤣😂🐁🐭🪤
Slight editing mistake. The second park was Holts Landing not Tuckahoe. Thanks for watching. We'd love to hear your tips.
Your son cracks me up! 😂😂😂
@@mommasonthemove9144 he keeps us laughing too!
@AmpedtoGlamp my kids will do the same goofy stuff, which is why I was laughing so hard. He seems like a fun kid, for sure.

We'll give it a try. Thanks!
I’m so with you Sherri! No way, nope!
Yes! Someone who understands!

We use those in our basement too! Change them monthly. It's worked well until recently.

CATCHMASTER traps from Walmart with peanut butter on a glue pad. Get about six of them and keep checking them.
A few folks have recommended Catchmaster. We'll pick some up.
Real RV life on the road. Thanks for the tips on potential RV issue. Take care.
Safe travels! 😊

Hey guys! RUclips held your comment for review. Probably the hashtag. We've been wanting to go to Bull Run. How was it?
So funny but great family!!
Thank you ! 😊 Glad you enjoyed the vid.
I use solar powered outdoor lights placed under my trailer when in storage. So far no mice. You might want to try that.
I'm open to try everything. We'll give it a try!

So glad you enjoyed the video! 😊❤️. We haven't caught one yet so I think the guys were right. The mouse must have vacated the premises.
Your son is hilarious. I enjoyed watching the

Sherry I don't blame you. I hate mice! They are nasty!

That's not a bad idea. We're thinking it got in by climbing up the water or sewer hose.
use peanut butter on those traps......trust me it works.
We're a little restricted with peanut butter since our son has a severe peanut allergy. But we think it's gone now.🤞 No more signs of activity.

Ultrasonic devices are not a solution unless you have ac power 24/7.
True! We used those at the campground. Traps for in storage.

Justin says thank you for the birthday wish. 😊
Go under the kitchen sink, unplug the soundbar and plug one of the repellers there.
John said he'll check it out. Thanks!
Which were you all in? You mentioned two different areas.
Both. We camped at Trap Pond then took a drive to the other park for a hike on the trails.
We use glue traps. The snap traps are too messy for me!
🤢
This is hilarious 😂 😃
