I just love watch watching people discover the wonder of this game- absolutely go for another 100 hours, there's enough game left
Thank you for the support!
Quick tip:
Save up 3,200 quicksilver and buy the alien EGG from the Anomaly. That'll start the quest line to get you a living ship.
Thank you!!
@@Mystiqux after you buy the egg if you reload your restore point you will still keep your quicksilver and have the egg
Big preesh
Is that pre or post Galactic Centre
I look forward to your next video on No Man's Sky. I have been playing for quite awhile and nearly 2000 hours. It takes me back to my own early days in the game and the joy of discovery as well as the awe of just how large the game is and how much there is to do when I watch others play and enjoy it as you have here. I hope you will continue doing more videos on this game in the future.
Thank you for the support, the love the NMS community has showed me really does make me want to make more videos on the game!
As a player thats just recently gotten into it (yes bc of starfield), it's really nice to see how welcoming the vets of the game are. I hope to be as welcoming to new players as the rest of the community is when I reach that many hours.
If you continue playing this game, I do recommend following the main quests. The story gets really interesting imo, and it reveals a lot of lore
Why did you say “imo” if it’s not a joke of any kind or not really funny at all? Is it some stupid abbreviation that I don’t know? Just type the full word if that’s the case.
@@tolstartheking imo = in my opinion. It's common internet speak, at least in the circles I personally frequent. I most likely used it at the time because I was typing on my phone, or perhaps simply because it is now part of my regular writing vocabulary.
It's actually my first time interacting with someone online who doesn't know what it means if I'm not mistaken
@@pauline_f328Bro wrote the most detailed essay ever about what IMO means lmao
@@likemindedsoul That's how you know you've barely ever interacted with me before. You call THIS an essay? 😂 It's like. Two small paragraphs
@@pauline_f328shut up, bro🤦🏽♂️
You’re going to “systems”, like solar systems, not galaxies. A single galaxy can have a hundred billion stars, many with planets. So you’re going to other solar systems, like our own, when you engage hyperdrive in NMS, not entire other galaxies. Sorry that was bothering me.
Apologies for the mistake!
@@Mystiqux You change galaxies mostly by going to the galactic center if I'm not mistaken, hence why you can pick it as a destination in the galactic map
@@pauline_f328or by doing that thing with the atlas
@@borzoilover4156 Yep!
This was bothering me too, especially with the frequency of calling solar systems galaxies like it was a new definition and we all needed to adopt it. God video though overall.
After 10 months, about 7k subs, much higher quality vids, a new logo, and freaking SOT partner. I’m still here. Good vid man!
Thank you for all your support mate, true legend! Thanks for sticking with me, more stuff like this to come!
I have to say this video was extremely well made and I am very impressed the way you managed to keep the audience drawed in throughout the entire video, Brilliant video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mystiqux starting on an earth-like planet: "Wow look at all of these lush, beautiful exotic worlds!"
Me, on my radioactive desert starting homeworld: "My moon is frozen and empty and the ocean planet next door rains acid."
Welcome to the game fellow traveler, great to see so many new players lately! 😃
Hey, thanks!
Also new here!! just yesterday played my first 120 minutes..feells so nice as a game
Starfield's failures have brought us more travellers. o7
wat zegt bro
You can also land aboard derelict freighters and explore its damaged or overrun insides for good loot. Missed a good opertunity there by just killing the sentinals. Theres usually either like spider aliens or robots that have overrun the ship or they're sometimes abandoned. You can also read crew logs to find out what caused the ships demise
There are two types of derelict freighters, the dungeons and the traps. He only found a trap. To find the dungeon, you need an item.
Lets go another video! I love 100 day videos so ill enjoy this very much!!!
Thank you for the support as always my friend! Thanks to you I’m able to keep on going! ❤️❤️
Absolute amazing video. I really love the quality in the content now, keep it up, I can only imagine there’s more to come😊
Thank you man that means a lot!
i got shivers everytime when he calls solar systems galaxies bruh
The guy that helped you during the pirate attack _was_ the pilot you recruited earlier. You can recruit up to four of them and they will help you in battle. The ones you send in expeditions are different, they must be recruited from space when they warp in to the system; these appear as green money icons in the hud.
Missions on the Nexus are meant to be played multiplayer, so they can be quite hard. Missions in space stations are a lot easier and still have good rewards.
Thank you so much for all the advice I’m still learning the game so much appreciated
@@Mystiqux No problem! This game has a lot mechanics and it doesn't always explain them well. Glad you are enjoying the game though, I have myself spent over a 1000 hours on it.
We’ll always happy to take on advice especially from vets! Again thank you
Thank You for not rushing through this video. I've seen multiple videos about spending 100 days and this is the best one. All the others talk so fast like they are in a rap song. Very good video as well.
this was a great way to get a better understanding of what the game is, so combined with the new update and the fact its on sale - i'm in! thanks for the effort put into the video :)
mass effect music gives so much aura
Welcome to the fun (i.e. obsession) of NMS in 2023!!!
I just came back after a decent hiatus and started a new playthrough myself. I'm only 60 hours in to my latest playthrough, but completed all the story missions and just customized my first interceptor (after selling a couple of C and B class ones). It's an A class, so still searching for the illusive S class one that has the body style I really want. And I'm almost through the missions to get me a new living ship as well.
FYI - you haven't jumped to a new galaxy yet, as you mentioned early on....just a new solar system. Once you complete the full Atlas story, you'll get to create a new galaxy and pick which type you want (depending on what type of planets you want a higher chance to spawn). EDIT - I see others have already mentioned this, albeit in some disrespectful ways. Easy mistake, but once you start bouncing between galaxies you'll get the difference.
I keep debating FINALLY putting some new content on my channel (I wiped the old stuff off recently), and this was a well done walkthrough of your experience. Maybe someday I'll start streaming and posting content again as well.
Nice work. You're one of us now. ;)
ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US
Starfield is a great game but NMS gives this feeling being in space and exploring that i just can’t get from starfield. Just flying through a planet from night time chasing the sunlight to daytime in NMS makes my heart full
That’s awesome!
I love Starfield. But it's not the same kinda game. Starfield is just Fallout 4 in space, and the map is broken up into a ton of small chunks. NMS and Elite Dangerous are more the kinda games you play for the SPACE. Starfield, you play if you want a Space themed Bethesda game.
loved it! just getting into NMS myself, and I'm about as far as you are by the end of this vid, i'd love to see another 100 days!
Thank you for the support ❤️
Very engaging video Mystiqux, great content! I subbed as soon as I heard the Normandy Mass Effect Galaxy Map music :)
Let’s goo someone noticed!!!! Thanks for the sub ❤️
From someone who hasn’t played since release, they really worked wonders to redeem themselves and this game looks amazing!
Nice vid: Hope to see the next on. Do not forget to scan the animals on planets. If you get them all it will get you nanits. And with some good scanning upgrades it will give you good money for everything you scan
I’ve been doing more of that, later on in the game, I just thought it wasn’t worth including in this case
I have been playing for 29 spread over some months, but I must confess, I find it a bit tedious sometimes. Also, other players rarely show up in my "world" so I really just have to fend for myself and progress very slowly
Great Video!
Absolutely hyped for the 200 days
Thanks for the support!
I just recently started playing NMS again and man this game is so amazing now. I loved it when it first released but man, this is waaaaay better
Wish to see you stream nms in the future, great to see you branch off to other games. remember to buy resources when you are at any space station as it is much easier than spending hours grinding.
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for making this video and sharing your experiences with so many galaxies and worlds! I am debating on if I should get the game and saw your video. I like how you explained what's going on during your journey. I would enjoy more details of the upgrades so it's more interesting than just hearing "I'm upgrading my ship and gears" with little context. Also, I like creatures but so far only seem one planet with the dinosaurs. Please share more details on each planet and why you like them, what's different between them other than just a different color/looks. Do you gather different materials in each one, what can you do with creatures? You also focused a lot on trading posts, trading with others but it is less interesting to me than exploring the planet itself and enjoying the views etc. Look forward to more of your videos!
All nms players love this game like their first love, it’s an an amazing game , I’ve been playing for 6 years, I have no interest in completing the storyline, I just wanna do my thing and explore
That sounds amazing man!
Hah, I clipped into the sentinel mothership when I first found it and had to reboot... Never had that encounter again. However, I did get that freighter after just ten hours of realtime gameplay. This game is a blast in 2023! I won't finish watching the video as I don't want to see any spoilers 😅 but I can relate so far!
Lol thanks for the visit!
This game is just utter brilliant!
Great video! ❤
Thank you! 😄
I spent my first 100 days getting lost on the starting planet. Dying multiple times completely losing track of my ship, being hunted by sentinels for hours. Then accidentally learning how to fix my helmet display. Can't wait for the next 100 getting lost on the next rock.
I think my first 100 were spent trying to figure out how to control the galactic map
Awesome video, youve earned a sub!
Welcome aboard!
The ONLY thing I disliked about this video was you exchanging a sentinel ship for that sluggish cargo ship 😂
Good video mate
Who would ever get rid of a good interceptor like that 😢
(I say as I salvage my 50th one)
200 days please i loved this video and id like to see how you play out the rest of the game
This is a very cool video. Definitely my go to video for anyone new and interested in NMS.
Great video, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Just bought it yesterday and I'm so lost haha
Keep going it’s worth it!
..the thing is, it's more of a "do whatever you like" kind of game. Especially if you're playing the normal/default difficulty.
There's a lot to do in the game, and it doesn't always spell out everything. So hopefully you'll find things that you enjoy doing.
Even after 6 years of playing, I still enjoy flying, exploring, and base building.
Do the 200! Enjoyed your video. 😀
Appreciate the Mass Effect soundtrack in the backround!!!!! :)
First!
Very well done video. In fact, they should sponsor it as a commercial LOL! I'm just now at the 1st anomaly encounter 1st time player. It is AMAZING.
One thing the game doesn't tell you but is a common advice amongst players is that you should never accept your first free freighter. It is always a small C class. After that first one every 3 hours or so you will start finding big feighter that can be up to S class, and as long as you keep rejecting them, the game will keep offering them for free untill you accept one. This advice is not really useful for this playthrough but if you start a new one, keep that in mind.
Someone correct me if this has changed, but when jumping to a new system and upgrading your backpack cargo slot at the space stations, you can also call in the Anomoly for another slot too. hope this helps for anyone on a mission upgrading their storage :) great video too
yo I like the new pfp, it looks great
Thank you man!
Should have declined the first freighter as it’s only a C class. The second time you are offered one it’s always a better class.
Thanks for the tips!
@@MystiquxAlso you can call the anomaly in every system and get another expansion slot for your exo suit. So with the one from the space station that’s 2 per system 👍👍
A "galaxy" is the whole thing that contains "solar systems" sitting in a "universe"
Yup small mistake on my behalf but hopefully you can look past that 😂
Bro have you seen the new omega update you can get a new ship on your main account for free just by completing all the phases
I subbed so lets do another 100 its mad fun this game
Thank you for the support!
Frigates are the exploration ships, the ships in your squad are just to help you in combat.
Also you kept losing all of your ship upgrades each time you traded. Those upgrades are part of the stats.
I was playing Starfield but it wasn't scratching that itch. My friend asked me I wanted to play NMS, which I've been asking him to play for years.
We now have around 100hrs playtime and wow has the game gotten better.
I still can't complete a Dirlect Ship because the game keeps crashing.
Anyone with resolutions for this would be appreciated.
NMS is an amazing game overall - glad to hear you're enjoying it! It definitely excels in a few of the areas where Starfield falls flat (and vice versa, to be fair). That said, the game can crash a lot, especially on certain platforms. There are a few things you can do that sometimes help with this. One thing is to dismiss your freighter when not on it using the quick menu. Assuming you've built the required parts, you can still swap resources that are stored on your freighter, call down exocraft from it, etc even if you've dismissed it from your current system. It's just that having your freighter visible in the same system as you sometimes leads to more crashes, so dismissing it can help.
That said, the biggest thing that's cut *way* down on crashes for me is to reload my manual saves fairly often, and make sure to do so right before attempting anything I know is likely to cause a crash. For example, certain interactions on my freighter nearly always cause the game to crash, but if I save and reload right before attempting them, the game almost never crashes. Essentially, longer play sessions lead to higher risks of crashing. Since you cannot save while on a derelict freighter, you might try reloading your save *right* before landing on one and see if that helps. It's no guarantee, but it might up your odds of being able to successfully complete one. Also, be sure to submit a bug report to Hello Games via their Zendesk if you can. The more people who report these bugs, the more likely they are to get fixed.
Good luck, and have fun exploring!
@nicked_fenyx I honestly didn't expect such a helpful response. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. Thank you so much for the tips. I will definitely take your advice.
You have a wonderful day and good luck to you as well friend.
@@midnitecro3915 No problem. I hope something I said helps. If you have any more questions at any point, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer. As someone with a few thousand hours into this game, I've certainly benefitted from the advice of other players, many times. As in real life, the universe of NMS is huge and sometimes tricky to navigate. Sometimes it helps to get in touch with others.
Glad to hear you made the switch my friend!
I’m so new to no man’s sky so this helped me understand
FYI - The first freighter you get is always free, if you come across a B-C you can request payment until you get a A-S and it’ll still be free
I just started the game and it's incredible. But your video is in multiplayer mode ? Or single player ?
Thanks
This guy found a perfect paradise on his second planet, I’ve searched for hours before 😅
How do you measure days? Because time varies over different worlds…
From all the info I read online, as well as going through all of my footage and visibly looking at the day and night cycles, 1 day tends to be anywhere from 15 minutes to 30, so a lot of work went into making this as accurate as possible
Depends... i think i was once in a planet where night lasted less than a minute lol but yeah depends on the planet location
Continue to 200 days.
Try and cover one or two of the game's income streams, like nanite farming and/or trade routes.
I'd go with trade routes as its something you can do very early on in the game.
i had this on ps4vr and put in hours n hours then just rediscovered it on series x i love it again
mass effect trilogy galaxy map music was a nice touch
Bit late to the party but great video mate
Dunno about the ship swap from a sentinal to the S class though 🤔 😅
Mass Effect 2 music in background. Nice, nice.
You can get 2 exosuit upgrades in each system one from the space station, and the 2nd from summoning the anomaly in each system. If you go to the exosuit upgrade npc on the anomaly on the desk behind them I'd another upgrade terminal.
It not a new Galaxy, that just a new star system, to jump to a new Galaxy you need to get to the center of the Galaxy you are in, in this case since that a new save it Euclid which is the starting Galaxy.
Bro this game looks INSANE 😮💨
Haven't spent this long yet,but so far it's been fun, and free from tossers.
3:00 you main go to the next system, not galaxy, you go to the next galaxy after you do the Purge.
I finally just upgraded my sentinel ship to S class. Its awesome. Now to upgrade my other one.
Nice!
Also there’s much more content story wise and side quests
Living ships, And a secret robot race you can play as
Lots to do
Your ship resembles the model from Battlestar Galactica🤔☺️🎈
fun fact: it would take 535 billion years to explore every planet in no mans sky because there are 18 quintillion planets
I just came back after three years and got it on ps5 and a brand new start. I’m in 30 hours and someone has already given me 638 million units worth of stuff.
these days you can put a base near trading post??😅 i remember that cannot be done before
Yep as many times
How did this dude end up finding such a nice planet for his base so early on. I still haven't even found that perfect planet I've been trying to find, yet. Jealous. Also how did you access The Nexus so early? I have about 2 million units and still haven't unlocked the Nexus, I'm playing on switch btw. I mean honestly I'm only 12 hours in, so maybe im being impatient.
I don’t know to be honest I’ve just kinda gone with the flow
You have to do the main quest, man.
12 hours in you should’ve already been in the space anomaly. you gotta just do the main quest, game tells you exactly what to do bro
RNGsus can be a fickle punk.
Create an initial temp base wherever just to get one down, then don't bother with a semi-permanent one until you find the right planet. Just make sure you make a teleporter at each one to move any items you have, then delete your first one. Find one of the LUSH planets (higher spawn rate in 1-star systems/yellow sun), if you want a base on a more serene, more beautiful place. There are a handful of monikers that designate the lush ones. (my favs are the paradise planets with glowing mushrooms and grass at night)
Upon watching this video I have logged 80 hours of playtime
You should definitely do 200 days
I felt physical pain when he traded a sentinel interceptor for a shuttle
Then you realize how big galaxies are and how small Star Wars is 😂
Btw if you don’t want to fight the sentinels than you can go into the space anomaly and they will disappear
You don't know what a galaxy is do you? XD I liked the video though.
Thank you! I guess not, please explain lol
The galaxy is the collection of starsystems you currently play in. Once you reach the center of the galaxy (the bright star you can see on the horizon on the starmap) you can go to the next galaxy, which has a different generation algorithm. There are 255 galaxies.
It is also possible to travel to a different galaxy by playing the main questline.
@@Mystiqux255 galaxies each with billions of stars. each star is a star system not a galaxy
@@Mystiqux
You were playing in one single galaxy throughout the entire video, that being the Euclid galaxy. A galaxy is a large group of hundreds of thousands of star systems with a supermassive black hole at the center. Popular examples from real life are the Milkyway (of course) and the Andromeda galaxy.
How do you get research points for nms I need it for the economy scanner
You dig up tech modules
Before the video gets going; the best money maker early on is a Chlorine farm, even still, after the nerf.
You can get 2 slots per system one at the space station and the second if u call in the space anomaly and in the back by the crafting recipe station u can get another slot
This is how starfield should've been 😢
Indeed!
NO ! The only thing what starfield is missing is the seamless flight. But Fast travel system is nice.
No. Starfield is Skyrim/Fallout in space. No Man's Sky will never be that.
Keep going.
Always!
Why are the old space stations nostalgic already
you dont travel to other galaxies, but other systems. If you want to travel to other galaxies you need to find the core of the galaxy you in and than jump into the next one.
is it enjoyable game?? should i buy it in 2024??? I'm so confused, recently i finished Fallout 76 and i'm a fan of fallout as it is large game story and discovery is nice and i feel no man's sky is somehow similar to such game what do you think?
Huh, I'm confused why you're calling solar systems galaxies
Just a simple mistake
i played this first in 2018, i unfortunately lost the disc for it (i was a ps4 user) and im hoping to get it again.
Subbed
Thank you for the support!
That S class shuttle is actually pretty bad it doesn’t give any perks like every other class in the game
Waiting for the 200days vd👍🏻
Aint no way he traded a sentinel ship for a hauler
AT 6:30 you really screwed up. you only get one freighter for free on a save and the first one you come across is usually crap. you would of been better off getting the credits for the first one and then warp around a bit until you get into another space battle. for anyone that doesn't know you need to be in game. not menu for three hours then warp 5 times and a then you will get the space battle. save before your 5th jump and then save the freighter and check if its a S rank if its not, reload and try again took me I think 5 runs but now the proud owner of a S rank freighter that looks like its straight out of star wars.
How did you define "a day" in a game where you're constantly jumping between planets? 30 minutes, the duration of a day cycle? So 100 days would be 50 hours?
Wait, how does one even measure in-game days in NMS? 😂 I mean, you can’t go by day-night-cycles...
So there is debate online about how long a day lasts, usually between 15 - 30 minutes depending on the planet so with that in mind I also visibility tracked it through all the footage, which was a lot of work 😂
@@Mystiqux
Oof, that’s wild. Thank you for all the effort! The video was great! 😊
You can’t do everything in the game period, it apparently takes 200 billion years.
Not galaxy; solar system. There is a very large difference. You start in the Euclid Galaxy. There are 255 total galaxies. Each galaxy with multiple solar systems within.
i love no man sky!
