- On the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia sits a spectacular waterfall, the Victoria Falls. At the top of this waterfall is a playground for daredevils, aptly named the Devil’s Pool. Only a few brave souls are willing to swim in the Devil’s Pool. To access this waterfall swimming hole, you’ll need to take a boat trip, cross the Zambezi River and keep watch for crocodiles and hippos. Once you get to the Devil’s Pool, it’s a long way down if you go over the edge. Would you take the plunge?

As a Zambian ,I’ll let you know that 90percent of people who swim there are tourists the other percent is 5 for the guide and 5 for the crazy one’s 😂😂😂 the rest of as just go see the falls and take pictures and stay at the very far end from the edge .but it’s really a beautiful place and there is so much more to do and see Zambia is a beautiful and friendly country 🥰❤️❤️
TELL THEM😭 Honestly we love our lives too much to risk it for pictures
I'd like to visit someday. Is there any advice u can give me? Or should I stay away from something or someone?
@@MihaiMarcut Don't be too excited and follow the rules, alot of people have been injured some died because they were too excited and didn't follow the rules, this goes for ever tourist site in Africa.
As a Zimbabwean it’s fax

“First step: travel to the country” I guess you can use that for every episode about surviving in specific places
Lol
Why people always consistently want to challenge death to a duel.. has always been the question that is so difficult to answer.. one slip.. and there's no more
Some people want to raise their online popularity, some are downright idiots, and some are true thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies.
it's something that I cannot recommend. I was there last month
@@brendagitonga8040 why can't you recommend it?
I imagine that one day with constant water flow causing erosion, the "wall" of the pool will eventually fail and collapse. Make sure that's not the day you visit....😅
Oh that would be one sic instagram post 😂
Don’t worry, I know I have to work that day.
After bouncing down on the rocks your body will be like a tender steak for the crocodiles.
That will take another millennium.
Crossing a river with Crocs and Hippo's. Absolutely no way in hell would I get in that River. Throwing rocks 😂. Yeah make some noise in the water before you get in😳🤦
that's not even will guarantee that there is nothing down there waiting for you to jump for lunch. lol
I would never...ever....EVER swim or wade across an African river that has crocodiles or hippos in it. Even if there were not visible at the time
Also parasites and leeches! HELL NO. If I want to swim I’ll go to a water park lol.
Turnnn uup😆
No way Jose
Well, I did it, and here I am to tell you so.
@bayousbambino427 I'm sorry to tell you this man. But you're dead. You got swallowed whole by a crocodile and you're not really reading this right now. RIP in peace
I was out as soon as he got to the throwing rocks to ensure there weren't hippos or crocs. Nope, not I
Me too😭🤣🤣🤣
Same!!! Hell no I’m not crossing that river!
Exactly!!! I was like excuse me????🤔 Hell No!! I’m out ✌🏾
Can't run faster than a hippo
Watching those people crossing the river.. reminds me of the great migration with herds of wildebeest, crocodiles 🐊 waiting to ambush its prey! I'll leave that adventure for the thrill seekers. 😉
Yes 😁
@@winglwin2005 We've all seen the programmes with wildebeest crossing rivers, it's feeding time! 🤗
@@ipfreely9245 yes nice answer
That’s another national park , they cross from Kenya Maasai Mara to Tanzania Serengeti national park and back
@@bensinneruggamer It just reminded me of those programs, waiting for the first attack then a bloodbath follows. 👍😉
I make it a point not to swim (or indeed go) anywhere with Devil, Hell, Dead, Damned, Death etc in the title. Cave of Death, Hells Mouth, Devils Pool, Forest of the Damned. Nope. All off limits for me, because I like to stay alive.
Ok

Nice video and IGTS this is one of the best survival channel
Welcome to Zambia, my home, everyone. We love you and all that beauty, plus more, awaits your eyes 😁
I find everything else scarier than the pool itself
Watch this video from my hotel room in Zimbabwe this morning. My wife and I went to The Devils Pool at 2pm and it was great! Meal served after. Tons of great pics with new friends.
Swam across waist high water to get to the pool. 60 second swimming. Ropes are in the water if you prefer to use them. No hippos, no leeches, no crocs. This video hyped up the fear way too much.
There was a 70 years old Indian couple in front of us who completed it all.
Seems you had a very wonderful time.
Wonderful you have lived my dream
Heres how to survive the devils pool. Dont get in it. Period point blank lol

@@avengerslevelthreat8099 I know It was scary and it was the King Cobra. It Venmon kills people in 15 minutes. And it took my Mum and Dad to the CPR in 10 minutes then I had 5 minutes of living but in the last minute I survived I am lucky!
@@MonkeyTF oh lord well god was definitely looking over you on that day

did i hear crocodile and hippos? lol i ain't going anywhere near that waterfall
As a person from Zimbabwe I agree
This is scary 😅 I like this content I did subscribe
Вот это адреналин!! Тоже хочу. Здорово!!!
Will give it a try
Definitely gonna go in June
When I visited the Victoria Falls in 2011, there were people sitting on the top of the waterfall.
Bro who told you in Zambia we have to take taxis to avoid wild animals? That's absurdly inaccurate. They're contained at national parks. Only chance you'll see an animal on the road is at Vic falls and that's a monkey or baboon. The only simple rule is don't bother them and they won't bother rule. Do better research please.
Wow
Nice
Interesting video
Also this be easy to survive because i wouldn't be getting in the water
Here is how to survive the devil's pool:
Don't go to the devil's pool😎
Good
Crocs are cute 🥰
Cool but is scary
Although I'm scared of heights, I did this in 2013 and it was an absolutely awesome experience. You can only blame yourself if you miss out on this incredible experience. Both Zambia and Zimbabwe are beautiful countries.
I bet you got jungle fever too
Hey I'm planning to this Saturday, I want to do it but im not sure if I will yet, is it possible to access without going into Zambia?
@@marcusmcfc444 To my knowledge it can only be done from the Zambia side. You have to join a group with a guide to do this. This time of the year the water level will most probably be to high as well. I went in October.
@@jorgschwartze6895 i heard it was open between june and december if i'm right. Im not sure if Id do it anyway though
@@marcusmcfc444 It can only be accessed from the Zambian side. I stayed in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and part taxied, part walked across the border; I had a KAZA visa for both countries. I did it in January (2023); so, the June to December thing is slightly flexible; it all depends on the water level. Given it's now July, you ought to be good to go.
Can you consider also talking about the risk (if any) of parasites that cause Schistosomiasis?
Imma go tomorrow
Is the best
I did that. It was cool

Note to self: Just watch videos of The Devil’s Pool, on RUclips.
I have been to The Devils Pool and let me tell you, with so many crocs and hippos in the mighty Zambezi River, you DO NOT swim out to the devils pool.
Also for those who are interested, The Devils Pool is accessible only from Zambia so you really do need to book a Ranger to escort you to Livingstone Island.
Um, yes, you do swim. I just did it in January. You take a boat to Livingstone Island, then swim to a smaller outcrop of rocks that partly surround Devil's Pool. (And swim back on the return.) Are you sure you didn't do Angel's Pool?
Finally I’m on time
Do they even attack
Pls make video on how to survive a dolphin attack
Yeah, I did it. Didn't see any guides throw any rocks before we got into the river to swim. I'd think hippos would instinctively know not to get that close to the edge of the falls.
Интересно
Looking scary

Can you do how to survive as the gods will please
One of these days that ledge will break and everyone in the pool will go over and die. Also, make sure your will is up to date.
I’ve been to devils pool
Nope i staying here and looking a waterfall
I just returned from Devils Pool, and enjoyed it. But no one mentions the Mud slinger fish that nibble at your legs.
I live in Zambia
U can keep it that would make my stomach turn
Omg
They lost me at swimming in a crocodile infested river
How to Survive in the Devil's Pool: Don't swim there

You can actually walk right up to it. Does not require a boat ride
