    If ever I need someone to tell bedtime stories to my grandkids, I want Rich!...lol. Cadence, pauses, delivery, he's got it all. But seriously folks...all I can say to Hackett is WTF. You had your timeouts. Russ could've threw or ran. What it boils down to is which has a better chance of success, a 64-yd field goal from someone who's never kicked one before, or Russ Wilson making a 6 yd. play, who's made those MUCHO times before? What really galls is McManus BARELY missed it. If Russ had managed to get 6 yards closer, that kick would've been good. I know hindsight is 20/20 but Hackett won't be having beers with three strangers named Logic, Odds, and Precedent after the game.

    Yes, CRAZY stuff happens in Seattle!! The NFL's INTENT for this game... was to 'show the world' that the Seattle Seahawks are weak, ridiculus and UNimportant TO the NFL! SHOWCASE Russell Wilson and his NEW Team... AT the expense of his old Team!
    And Seattle, as it has for MANY of the insults (you want to talk about SB XL???) from the NFL (AND NFL Network), wasn't buying ANY of their BS!!
    Yes, Nathaniel Hackett's Team/Time management was not good. Why bother to call that last T.O.? Hoping for a miracle? All THAT did was EXTEND THE AGONY of a BAD CALL!!!
    And Seattle, CRAZY with JOY.... LAUGHED. And cheered their Team!
    Take THAT, NFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Rich Eisen, you lost me when you stated that Russ won us our SB. Did you watch the game? It was the LOB who won us that game, Russ was just our QB, and just because he's a QB doesn't mean that it's because of him that we win or lose. Yes it's a VERY important position, but our Defense Killed Denver in that Super Bowl. Nearly any QB would have been a winner that day!

    • @bobshenix
      @bobshenix 2 года назад

      I always appreciated Russ Wilson as an NFL QB and what he brings to the table, but I do think it's likely that his body of work moving forward will demonstrate that the situation he was in (during the Seahawks' golden run w/ LOB) played a not-insignificant role in shaping his legacy as a top QB. I think he's not quite as good as his win-loss record would indicate. Elite defenses and top-tier rushing attacks helps a lot!!

    Ok, so hear me out: there were several crucial downs Denver failed to convert. If they don’t convert this one, it’s over. Maybe he was looking at it like, they can risk losing by going for it or risk winning it by trying the FG.
    Secondly, Russ has a lot of pressure right now(Denver is supposed to dethrone KC, you know-and the Chargers are supposed to finish second) so if he doesn’t convert, the story is Russ losing. Instead, the story is the coach…

    Field goal makes no sense but more so when you are 4th and inches to the goal you just QB sneak it or at the very least you don't run the exact same play both times.
