I use a killer Kombat 1.3 HTE for clear. A Genesi 360 light 1.3 HTE for base, a Slim Kombat Nero 1.9 hvlp for surfacer, sealer, and an ego190 0.7mm HTE for cerekote and have a 1.0mm needle, nozzle cap set for spot repair. I sold my Devilbliss DV1 base gun cause that 360 puts it to shame as well as my two CA Technologies guns I just really like the walcom
Hi mate .Short answer is diamond is great for jobs which require build if you were flaking something or if you want lots of build to sand and buff . It’s a high solid clear which is diamond clear “no pun” . Custom is great for flow coating or if you want a flat finish and know it’s going to be off the gun with minimal buffing . I prefer custom as it’s really user friendly , however I still use diamond and get great results.
Yeah the air caps are designed differently . Clear air cap atomises the paint differently than the base air cap . Also the MP air cap is even better for a flatter finish
@@jeremyoetken2094 Yes but my opinions and info I give is all honest and knowledge from using the guns . I don’t really spend much time doing walcom stuff . Always too busy with my dna workload
Good video mate. Good to see the details on how you apply the candy.

can you swap out different-sized caps or non-interchangeable ?
You can! Providing you change the needle and nozzle as well
Do you know if there is any real difference between the carbonio hte clear and base?

@BogDustForBreakfast OK thanks, a lot of people online are saying it is the exact same gun but I didn't think so
@@jeremyoetken2094 yeah they look identical except for a white line around it . The air cap 100% are different
Do you work for walcom?
