So glad you visited luna park as well. I walk there every week too. As you mentioned, the great thing about it is that you don't have to pay to get in. if you walk along the deck on the left side of luna park for a couple of minutes, you will get to Lavender Bay, a beautiful area for photos and videos with harbor bridge and opera house as your background 💕
WOW welcome to Sydney. I do the Harbor bridge walk every week (Not walking to the top but the free walk from one end to the other) It is super relaxing walking on the bridge during nighttime. Hope you had an amazing time here.
I agree with Paul, late March to early May have probably the most comfortable weather. September is usually pleasant, but the weather in Spring is very changeable and I usually keep my winter clothes out until two weeks before Christmas because October and November can be hot, and really cool a few days later.,This summer it has been particularly cool, and I did not put the winter clothes away until January.
I was doing a bicycle tour in Sydney several years ago and it started absolutely pouring down halfway thru. I was completely soaked. But still enjoyed it 😂
Wauw the views 😍 stacey i am not a Rollercoaster person either 😅 your Face said it all , But well done 🎉. Looking forward to to your next adventure 😜 Hows Nalu doing ?
Harriet and i have been to Australia several times having in-laws living there. Everything you did we did. It's always a great time when we visit. You guys certainly make it fun. A lovely video as always. Sending you much love from Richmond, Va.😍😍😍 from Harriet, Jim and Yuki. P.S. What's new in your lives? Send us a picture of Nalu.
This was awesome. I'd do the Harbour Bridge walk. The amusement park was nice, but no way I'm going on a roller coaster. :) I'd do the cruise also, but the bridge walk would be my #1. Cheers!
There's also jet boating in the harbour or there used to be. Not sure if it's still going or not but that's an awesome thing to do but on a hot day as you do get wet. 😜
It's free to just walk across the Sydney harbour bridge if you don't want to pay $300 to walk over the top. Then you can go to Luna Park on the other side and catch the ferry back to the opera house.
I did the Bridge Climb in 2018. Great. We were at The Rocks in early October. I saw the clock tower mall on Harrington Street. Stayed at hotel near there. Must admit it was hard for people with mobility problems. It's steep. Luna park is fun. Only done St.Kilda in Melbourne. Cheers guys.
Yeah the weather has not been great, but … My partner and I just went on a cruise around NZ. We flew over the week before we picked up the cruise. The weather was beautiful. We got on the cruise and the weather changed. We left Aukland the day before that storm in Aukland that caused those devastating floods. The North Island has been so hammered, I feel for you all. Here’s hoping we are about to see the end of La Niña, but that El Niño is not around the corner.
@@DanegerAndStacey Weather was okay. It was a minor issue for a holiday, compared with what has been happening for Kiwis on the North Island this summer. I edited that because I wanted to make it clear how awful we know it’s been for so many on the North Island, and having a few bad days weatherise on a holiday was nothing in comparison.
Did you get pictures from the bridge walk because you had the media access or does everyone who does the walk get the pictures/certificates as part of the experience?
Everyone can buy the pictures, but just the staff that are allowed the cameras. The filming and videos were also done by the staff but they had to get a 2nd member to follow us and film in approved areas
Should have gone to Wendy's Secret Garden whilst you are at bLuna Park. And take the regular ferries with your own picnic and see even more of Sydney Harbour.
Man, I'd pick the bridge walk, except that I'm TERRIFIED of heights haha! Maybe the rollercoaster, sorry Stacey! Also, you guys said you're here for the Jetstar promo but in your downtime did you get a chance to go to KOI? If you like fancy desserts... mwah! It's run by one of the Masterchef top contestants and the deserts are both neat to look at and yummy to eat!
The bridge walk is pretty unbeatable, we're sure you'd love it! We did actually hear about KOI but didn't get the chance to check it out sadly, sounds amazing though
Hello!hello! Does anyone know if there’s recommended activities for seniors age 60+ to enjoy in sydney? May bring my grandma there and would like to plan it well! And would it be summer in Australia ( extremely hot?)
I wish we could help more specifically, but our first thought would be to either book a tour or have a hired driver for the day - save on walking, get driven to the parks, viewpoints, sites etc and not have to be to strenuous
I have climbed the inside part of the Bridge in a business suit. I think I swapped my court shoes for a pair a sneakers. No ropes, safety harness or kit. Our ‘guide’ was one of the engineers who worked in the Bridge office ( in the south pylon. My colleague and I clung on to to hand rails, and he just walked up with with his arms swinging. This was in the early 1980s I was working in the then Legal Section of the Dept of Main Roads, who owned the Bridge. Periodically the Dept would offer employees an opportunity to climb the Bridge. I as not a great lover of heights so I used to refuse. I later came to regret it. So when a colleague was given a file about damage to a car caused by someone throwing something from the lower arch onto the roadway, he decided he needed to have a site ‘view’. I decided I would tag along. We got to the top, and looked a the view where the incident had happened, and then to one of the famous views in the world (which of course was completely incidental to us being there 😉). Our engineer pointed to a very long ladder, which ran from the lower arch to the upper arch, and asked if we wanted to climb to the top. Ummm, we thought. The upper arch is 134m above the water, which is equivalent to a 45 to 50 story building. The lower arch is 118m above the water, equivalent to 5 or 6 stories. We thought he was joking, but he assured us he was not. Further he had made the climb himself a few times. Remember we had no safety ropes, we politely declined. I have not done the Bridge Walk since it was opened to the public. I do not think I could spend the $ they ask for something I once did for free. Remember we had no safety harness ropes

I can't wait to visit Australia! Hopefully December!
Do it! Totally worth it
Great video. Btw,. Your video has some drone footage. Is drone allowed on the bridge?
Nope - no flying around the area at all, in fact in a lot of Aus sadly. That was sourced footage to help with the vid
love the video! 😊 what month(s) would you recommend to visit Sydney for a warm but still a little cold weather?
september, april.

I would pick the bridge climb! I’ll be in Sydney in a few days and I’m so excited !!! I’ve been bingeing your videos in preparation!
