  • Sydney and Bondi Beach go hand-in-hand - but is Bondi really worth the title? We did some coastal walks, scoped out Bondi Icebergs and lean towards it being a bit overhyped... 🎬 Learn how to edit video with Dane - danegerandstacey.com/video-ed... ⬇ More Below ⬇
    Welcome back to Australia and our 2nd vlog in this little 3-part video series from Sydney. In this one we travel to Bondi to explore the beach and check out the area.
    Bondi Beach is popular for a lot of great reasons, Bondi Rescue being one of them obviously, and look it is bloody beautiful... but from our exploring in the area we think some of the other beaches you discover easily along the Bondi to Coogee beach path are smaller, more charming and better. Even on the walk to Bronte there's heaps of great little spots.
    Still though, we've got nothing but love for Bondi - sometimes cool areas like this develop and bring in crowds, adding a unique scene and fun vibe. What do you think?
    Disclaimer - This video features footage supplied from Destination NSW and other suppliers, particularly for locations where filming is restricted and/or drone activity isn't allowed.

    Hi Guys. My wife and I (we are in the UK) came across your vlogs about 6 months ago and I think we have watched all of them now. We spent a month in NZ a few years and love the memories your NZ vlogs bring back. By chance we are on of tour of Aus this Feb- March so your vlogs of Adelaine, Melbourne and Sydney have given us some food for thought. We have similar amounts of time in these cities as you have had. In particular you have helped us decide when we are in Sydney to do the Bondi - Bronte walk and a day trip to the Blue Mountains. Keep up the great vlogs and we love the dog and home updates.

    Thanks for posting. First time on your channel. As an American, Bondi to Bronte blew my mind and is a place that I want to keep coming back to. The people were friendly, the pools were cool (it was August), and the food was great. I stayed a week just off the beach and had an amazing time. Enjoyed that you included a stop at the Bogey Hole: classic. For the beach activities, I think Bronte was more my pace: seemed a bit more for the locals and less about the surf and the show.

    There are so many Sydney beaches north and south of Bondi that are so much better, cleaner and less crowded. Or just South along the Illawarra coast, you could take a few weeks to visit a beach a day just on Wollongong's northern suburbs.

    We have had really unusual weather in Australia this year, confluence of three weather events. The temps have been much lower than normal, thick and prolonged cloud cover, so the water hasn’t warmed up. It’s usually about 4C higher in the water and around 10C higher air temp at this time of year, which makes a big difference to swimming. One reason there’s fewer people than normal.

    • @DanegerAndStacey
      @DanegerAndStacey  Год назад

    Make sure you get down to the best SYDNEY beaches at Cronulla after you get back from the Blue Mountains. To find the best spots, do The Esplanade walk from Green Hills all the way to Salmon Haul Bay and keep your eye out for the little know Blackwoods beach - very secluded, but a little treasure there tucked in behind Shark Island. Don't worry, there are no sharks there - it's a lovely safe swimming spot only the locals use. there are 4 tracks to use to access the beach, but get a local to show you the one between the rocks! 😱
