THIS A JOKE?? THEY ARE RAPIDLY GETTING EMPTY!!
Everything fine; nothing to see
Propaganda. It's a toilet.
Riots destroyed this city, permanently
BLM did
Yes I totally 👍💯
It’s a tragic moment for Minnesotans that these riots were allowed to occur😢. The funny thing is that there was little to no riot activity outside of Minneapolis. There’s always been a political divide between MSP and the rest of the state.
COINTELPRO 2.0 did it
Especially the Lake Itasca side😢.
No one's coming back because no one wants to get arrested for defending themselves against a violent criminal.
You have never step foot in Minneapolis in your life.
@@TheEnd-um7yd And I don't plan to. Have fun in your liberal "paradise". Your housing prices are going to get REAL expensive soon.
@@TheEnd-um7ydwhat make you say that? what do you see others skip?
Exactly! Some peeps are best staying away from other humans when they are socially challenged.
I usually suggest the place they came from. Under a rock or behind the woodwork. 😂
Look at the bright side...you can get a real contact high from just waiting for the bus!.....Just watch out so "the usual suspects" dont steal your testicles!
The deceit of the speakers is absolutely radiant.
59th out of 63 cities lol! Wcco, Kare and the Strib lies to you and says it's thriving and vibrant. Unreal.
The media is not honest or competent.
The dead zone. 🤷
R.I.P. Minneapolis.
Have you seen the RUclips documentary The Fall of Minneapolis? How do the same politicians that let the city burn and then lie keep getting re-elected? Worth the almost 2 hour watch time
Daylight crimes was where many called it time to leave. Feel sorry for those Minnesotans
There is at least 10 serious crimes per day on the lake itasica side 😢😢😢.
Hey....this is what you get from MINDLESSLY voting for Democrats in every election!....
ENJOY it Minneapolis. Cuz it ain't getting fixed! EVER!!
Do not feel sorry Minneapolis they burned their City down for no reason at all just to watch it burn they don't deserve police protection they got what they asked for
Minneapolis used to be a great city - it was a lot of fun downtown. Now it is just too dangerous.
Got literal demons looking for trouble.
But little do they know….
why is so?
Come for the taste of Minnesota, stay to get blown up by fireworks.
Why not show all the boarded up buildings? Blacks destroyed that city. It's never going back to normal with all those businesses gone.
RACISM destroyed the city
Well if your complaining about your city come to Portland, the blm affected us 100x more.
I don’t think you even go to downtown lol
hmmmmm, I wonder why the city isn't recovering as other cities
Full of Obongo,’s Muslims, hard core dems. , and communists. Wake up.
As a South Dakotan who used to visit Mpls. and downtown a few times a year, it's a safety issue now why we avoid the place. Besides, the fact our son used to live downtown and moved a little further out, you guessed it, due to safety.
It’s Angola with electricity..
😂 I'm stealing that.
FOX 9 cheer leading for all the business's leaving Minneapolis, and the unemployed left behind because of infantile city management
But Taylor Swift is coming to town😂😂😂😂
Too be fair part of that is the new prevelance of work from home or hybrid work, who wants spend 2-3 hours a day commuting.
What sane business would set up show after all that destruction during the riots and with little support from the city government?
A certain demographic destroyed the city. I was downtown to get something last night and it so sketchy now. Guys walking the streets wearing ski masks like it’s south side chicago or Mogadishu
just say the n word coward
so let's talk about it. not in a racist or hateful way. nn but I'm willing to listen to your prescription. youre saying mostly blacks are introducing an element of crime into downtown. it's that what you saw? and why is it happening in this area, now, and with this demographic? i haven't checked the stats but i thought Minneapolis was mostly white.
Did the neighborhood they burned down ever get rebuilt? I’m guessing probably not.
Been going there on a weekly basis for over two years now. Have still yet to find any ‘burnt neighborhoods’
@@TheEnd-um7ydthen you haven't been anywhere near uptown, it's a shit hole now. We get it you were part of the riots.
@@TheEnd-um7yd you are blind then, or staying by St Anthony
Parking is bad, light rail cart smells like waste.
and don't feel safe. have to breathe strange, unknown fumes and vapors on the train. guard your valuables!
Cities shouldn't be designed for cars. Have you travelled to Paris London Amsterdam Tokyo ?
Unfortunately, the perception of downtown Minneapolis being the happy home to violence, criminality & lawlessness -- spawned by the past foolish & ignorant actions of Mayor Frey & the Mpls City Council -- remains. The best thing that has happened recently are the RICO legal actions against Mpls gang members -- which Mayor Frey has amazingly (!!) embraced -- which may encourage local citizens to venture back into the downtown area.
I hope & trust that Mayor Frey will maintain his newly acquired set of opinions & sentiments against criminality & lawlessness in Mpls -- a position which will, I believe, reduce the level of law breaking, villainy & wrong doing in the city.
Like any narcissist the only time they act is when it benefits, or effects them.
Did you witness, as I did, Jacob Frey on his knees at George Floyd's funeral, weeping (seemingly) uncontrollably with involuntary shoulder jerking and convulsing head movements, while reaching toward the casket??? This was not sorrow for a man he knew not. This was grief he felt for his political career that was no doubt, dead. Yet, three years later, Ukrainian suit and tie colors in tow, the re-elected, 'It's only brick and mortar', Mayor that not only watched but, some have said, encouraged violence, stands in front of cameras proclaiming decreasing crime numbers - citing statistics not from 2018 or 2019 - but compared to the last three years of never before seen senseless violence. Metro Transit ridership is down 70%+ from 2019 - even when he states it is "up from last year".
You cannot fix a problem that you cannot admit exists.
Mayors in Ukraine have started wearing Minneapolis colors in support. Stop ignoring the problems.

I did not, Mr L. I don't know Mayor Frey personally, so he could be a Prince among Men, or he could be a lachrymose hypocrite whose cynicism is matched only by his fake sincerity. As far as I can determine he could be the embodiment of either of these persons -- or somewhere between.
"Yet, three years later, Ukrainian suit and tie colors in tow, the re-elected, 'It's only brick and mortar', Mayor that not only watched but, some have said, encouraged violence, stands in front of cameras proclaiming decreasing crime numbers - citing statistics not from 2018 or 2019 - but compared to the last three years of never before seen senseless violence."
We know that anyone who describes decreasing criminality in Minneapolis is a bald-faced liar -- as is indicated in this set of crime statistics ("Crime Dashboard for Minneapolis) from 2023 year-to-date...
www.minneapolismn.gov/government/government-data/datasource/crime-dashboard/
Of these crime metrics are 7 UP, 3 are down, and 2 are even. It takes a lot of gall to suggest that this means a reduction in crime.
"Metro Transit ridership is down 70%+ from 2019 - even when he states it is "up from last year". You cannot fix a problem that you cannot admit exists. Mayors in Ukraine have started wearing Minneapolis colors in support. Stop ignoring the problems."
It's a commonplace observation about those drawn to politics that "...there are none so blind as those who choose NOT to see."
If you read my comment above & believed that I was a supporter of Mayor Frey, or was suggesting that I do NOT believe that Mpls continues to spiral downward into criminality, violence & lawlessness, then please read my comment again. The BEST that I can say about Mayor Frey is that some of the other mayoral alternatives could have been WORSE.
@@rogerforsberg3910 Your link showed crime rates from the peak, falling...which was the basis of my comment...go to 2019 and compare. Do not Frey me with last year's horrible numbers and state they are decreasing, sir.
@@danlowe8684 The numbers I'm looking at (year-to-date), Mr L, indicate that these crime numbers have all increased: 1/ assault offenses; 2/ burglary/breaking&entering; 3/ destruction/vandalism; 4/ motor vehicle theft; 5/ sex offenses; 6/ stolen property offenses; & 7/ weapon law violoations
If you want to go back 3 years -- instead of just one year -- then it's 6 categories increased, 5 categories decreased, one the same. As far as I can determine crime in Mpls -- on the whole -- is still increasing. And, unless you have a different view on crime, an increase crime is generally bad, toxic, harmful & injurious for society.
Please note: I'm looking at the NIBRS crime metrics on that URL. As of January 1, 2021, the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) became the national standard for law enforcement crime data reporting in the United States.
You can have all the ( With the Rainbow and sunshine committee) parades, and concerts, festivals, and to say what wonderful city it is to be in, and try and get people back downtown. But once the fanfare is over , its back to the crime ridden s## hole it is.
I'm glad you can see through the BS and see the City for what it really is.
Yep.
They're here, they're there, they're everywhere.
Nice big PR piece by Minneapolis Downtown Association!😊
Change pandemic with riot
you could not pay me enough to go to downtown mpls rebound my ass
Pay me then since it since I’d be rich.
With corporate downsizing..office space is in bad shape. Obviously restaurants and retail will suffer. I think downtown housing is maxxed at this time...it's not affordable for most... It's going to take events and restaurants to keep downtown rolling until corporations cycle back to office work. City leaders need to beef up safety and also heavily court out state companies to move here..downtown.
I live in downtown.. its like 90% less crowded since the pandemic rent is cheap it’s better now 😅
Better if you are a criminal, yea
A complete no-go zone in Somaliapolis...
💀
We will have to go to Minneapolis in a week and a half to help my father-in-law. God help us.
Bro it’s still safer than almost any big city in the country 💀💀💀
I just stayed downtown. Saw a guy attacked his gf a few blocks down. Youve got cracks heads on bikes going around to hotel lobbies cig hunting. Its wild.
Frey still showing his concern for Ukraine - a safer place than Minneapolis.
Bingo
This comment alone is proof you never been to Minneapolis.
@@TheEnd-um7ydall of your comments on this video prove YOU have never been to this city. Either that or you are complicit.
What can you expect? Lose 1/3 of your police force and crime increases.
If the study ignores the North Loop and other thriving areas, the results are null and void.
There are too many new living quarters being built, but the roads aren't getting any bigger.
I encourage you to research supply driven demand. This concept states that the more supply exists, the greater a demand it creates. Roads are an example of this. The more roads are created, the more drivers will use them. Making the roads bigger will just increase traffic. We need to expand public transit and increase walkability.
BS ! Less traffic- more Crime . It’s the democrat socialist way . And you suckers are swallowing it . The Twin Shitties, were a wonderful place to visit , now it’s like going to a war-zone .
Why do people ignore the sirens of both an ambulance and fire truck when they are responding to emergencies. I noticed that cars kept moving and the ambulance sat at the intersection till the light changed. Why
As long as you dont mind getting shot, its a great event.
Minneapolis has been doing a great job eliminating single family housing and making rent reasonable for people compared to the rest of the country
Vote no to The North Star Act!
Taste of MN was fun. Too bad the stone arch bridge is down for awhile. I love Mpls
Perhaps offered more free parkings and better roads and maybe more visitors will come. Not every visitors wants to come by foot ya know.
maybe it will be more peacful and chill now that weed is legal. Hey wanna go protest something? Yea as soon as i get off this couch.
Too much crime and crooked politicians
If crime diminishes, I might attend.
@@voidaccount12345 Wise words. I wish you well in your move.
The emperor has no clothes!!
Remember when minnesota had a slogan called minnesota nice?
well thats dead and gone now.
It’s been dead for quite awhile. But the passive aggressive fakeness abundantly still remains.
I'm 32 years and and originally from that part of Minnesota for most if the first 16 years of my life and several times since then. I just recently visited St. Paul in July 2021. It never was nice. It's just a shithole.
@@Divers1990ur profile is strange lol
Minneapolis is a beautiful city, can’t wait to move there.
I hope not. It’s crime ridden more than usual after 2020 riots
Have fun getting mugged.
@@Scream4Cheeseno is isn’t especially compared to years like 2006.
Wear a flak jacket after dark.
My choice is to stay away from chaos. And keep it there please.
Looks happy.
I hate minneapolis. I pray it never come back. Hello chet
I would eat or visit there if you paid me. Another stay away state.
Ill never spend another dollar in that cess pool. Oh i still go to Vikings and Twins games, on the road lol. Now that the Timberwolves are good im gonna check out some of their roads games.
Mayor Frey flip-flopped or was weak on some major issues, but I am glad to see the postive vibe. Cramer also gets it
No no no, you people stuck a knife in our backs. I will never go down there again.
I bet you half of these people in the comments haven’t even been to Minneapolis and are just hating on it 💀
I'm from it. It is garbage now
Definitely a strong guarantee
I'm liberal, and live downtown. It's a hell hole. Police won't enforce some laws, because Moriarty doesn't prosecute. A city this size has 16 homeless camps, because people from around the country know they can come and squat here. Carjackings in Minneapolis were nearly 6x that of St. Paul in 2021. There's a reason for that.
BLM...lol.
You guys ruined our city
😂😂😂😂😂😂
