This watch has exceptionally good finishing, vintage feel even down to the vk31 14, 400bph giving that early mechanical judder tick tok. The dial is beautiful albeit the text is a bit off in terms of the style of watch. It is definitely dress style but at least 100m water resistant. One of the best watches I have purchased and not because it is cheap. If this was £250 by Seiko it would be completely acceptable. Punches well above its price. It is what I call a constant glance watch. I love looking at it and that is a star quality in its design. The anti reflective glass and dial just pop. Great review sir.
Nice review of a lovely watch, Addiesdive make good quality, budget pieces. They just need to remove DeepSeaHunter from the dial, kind of spoils the aesthetic. All the best
I wish it would have 4th version with full lume dial. Same hands and indexes just would work perfectly with that different dial color (white/yellowish at daylight, luming in the dark).
Nice review! I always like the VC-31 module! It makes me feel good. 🙂 Solid links is a positive. The finishing is a plus. I'm not concerned about 19mm lugs, I don't really swap straps. I think I like the white the best.
I picked up the 39mm version with a blue dial and NH35 movement for £46 delivered. The idea was to review it and the sell it. Damn, the watch is so good I have kept it. However, the branding is dreadful, and they desperately need a second name for watches that aren't divers. PS, is that story about the Japanese guy and Swiss bird really true?😀
I just bought two of them ( brown and white),and when i get them I will be putting the watch back on a lathe and remove all those unnecessary info, thus leaving a lot of space for personal engraving 😁
I would be happy for them to keep the logo but they really need to lose the name as it is far too long to fit on any watch dial. I am a huge fan of the VH31 movement and AD they produce more versions using this smaller case.
I own the explorer version but I wish they would take off the deep sea hunter label because like this watch it’s not a diver. I understand it’s cheap but that’s a simple thing.
Your videos are always great. However, I have to say, that style of watch has always been a bit of a snooze-fest to me. Gimme obnoxious fake gold any day of the week!
Hi David, I get your point but the main thing about this watch is (dial aside) it really feels very retro. I'm coming around to feeling the proportions of the past are more in line with my tastes. As for the dial, it's really rather good. It makes you wonder if GS is as hard as work mimicking the ice on a Tokyo canal (or wherever) as they lead us to believe.
Yes it does! Its amazing for the price which was in my case just under £55 with tax to the UK. Its just such a shame that they print text on the watches without much consideration of meaning.
Your love child analogy at the beginning of the video is spot on! Very lovely watch and I couldn’t agree more.

Totally agree, makes a good watch seem a bit silly.

Great vid lovely watch
Bellissimo.

I have old Seiko 5 with 7s26 movement (from the 90s I think). That has 19mm lug width, and 20mm NATO straps just works fine.
Thanks, I thought about white too. Only one I didn't take to was the ice blue one

The lovely romance is a well known "alternative fact".

cannot find this watch without a model number or link, Addiesdive has multiple watches named deepseahunter
Just go on AliExpress and search Addiesdive. You see these pop up really quickly.

Wonder if it’s a real Seiko movement or a Chinese knock off?
Real I think, those things are not that expensive.
Real, NH35.
Real Vk31
Excellent review. This almost has Grand Seiko-level finishing
