Was checking these out in the current choice sales, your video sold me. It's currently $83.20 AUD including GST, so half price compared to when the video was recorded!
Thanks James and also thanks to Jason! Really wanted to see a close up and review of that dial. This is definitely a possibility for me, though I may go for the diver watch version with the same dial as size might suit me better. Still, it's going in my basket now for future consideration.
I really like this watch and think they've been killing it recently. I actually bought the AD2030, which is the 36mm, seiko mecaquartz with the sand pattern dial for $100 AUD. Even though its a mineral crystal and mecaquartz, I love it and I'm considering buying the other colour dials because it fits me perfectly!
Do you also have this model as well to compare to the 2030? The one thing that is making me on the fence is the mineral glass. Do you think besides that, is it the cheapest Grand Seiko type of homage? Also which models do the AddiesDive 2118 and 2030 take inspiration from??
@@cirealreviews1776 I've only experience the 2030. The mineral crystal does not bother me and doesn't have a scratch on it, but I guess everyone has a different opinion it. For the money I think it is the best dial and Grand Seiko style watch out there for around $100, if the quartz and mineral does not bother you. But not sure which one it takes inspiration from.
@@leighsnelson4028 that sand dial just looks so unique and unlike any other dial I have so that right there is making me want to get it. How durable is mineral glass compared to a G-Shock glass? Or is it actually mineral glass as well?
@@cirealreviews1776 I think G-Shocks use mineral also, however I think on most G-Shocks the glass is not the tallest bit on the watch because they have some of the case above it to protect it. Where as on the 2030 the glass is domed and sticks out a bit, so it is less protected. I have both the sand coloured and the white coloured dial 2030s and I think the sand one is the one to buy.
Hi james great video your very good at reviewing watches I really like the face of this watch to small for me and if being super critical the glass is to think . but a unbelievable nice watch for the money if it was in 42mm+ I would definitely buy one. Thanks John.
Nice review James, I recently bought the AD2117 which has that same textured dial only in a 'Willard' case with steel bezel. Whisper it.....but Addiesdive is as good as, if not better than Steeldive, I honestly think it's just that people prefer the SD name. All the best sir 👍
Another great review, thanks James! But are actually saying “dolphin hands” instead of dauphine? There is an even cheaper, 36mm version with a mechaquartz, 12mm thick, which also comes with a sand-dune dial!
If it was a flat crystal would that meet your specification , although it would reduce the height if you get my drift ? Thanks for the review . By the way I got a blue one for £40 delivered to the uk in one of the super deals on AE , maybe shifting the less popular colour ?
@@WATCHingJames No, joking aside. I have exactly this model in white, but the structure doesn't remind me of snow, ice, water, waves, sand, birch or anything else, none of that, sorry. This watch was cheap, which makes me take it for work to protect my expensive watches. Nevertheless, the watch looks quite nice, in white with the blued second hand. Thank you for your presentation of this model. Gruß Matze
The amount of watch you get for the money is astonishing. My favorite non dive AddiesDive Watch without question. Thanks for the great review.
It is really impressive
I bought the blue one for $50 you can't beat the price for this kind if quality it's just unheard of. Their profit margins must be thin AF
That’s amazing.
I bought the diver with the same dial. Love it. ❤️
I’ve had my eye on that one too.
They killed it with that texture dial almost look like it attached with the chapter ring is look awesome
It is so much better than I expected
An amazing dial and an amazing watch - especially at this price

I like the diver too. Definitely worth considering
Absolutely fantastic watch. BTW, I put it in my basket, and after discounts it is US $85.20 . This is an incredible bargain. Thank you for sharing.
It is a great watch and then when you consider the price it is amazing.

Just ordered one for $81 on sale! So stoked :)
It is a fantastic watch. There are not many at this price range that you will find that are so good.
I ordered this yesterday during the sale for $54!!!!!
That’s incredible

This review made me order this watch.😅 Mine’s coming… Thanks
I’m not sure if I should say. Great. Or sorry. Hahahaha. It is a fantastic watch and one of the best at this price I’ve experienced
Very informative review, learned a lot.
That’s great to hear. Thanks for WATCHing

It is a really nice watch. One the best for the money I’ve come across
Quartz version is 12mm thick...
The specifications list for this watch says it has “synthetic sapphire”.
I tested it with my diamond select and it registered as sapphire.
What's the best day/date homage for around $150 (preferably in a gold tone)
I would be checking out a Pagani Design. I have not experienced this specific homage form them but can tell that it would be a great value watch.
@@WATCHingJames thank you my friend. I really enjoy your videos.
Is that second hand metal blued or plastic?
It is metal. But painted. Not heat blued.
Love it but the 14.4 mm thickness kills this watch for me.
It is the one negative of this one.
14.5mm is way too much, I have divers thinner than that. Thickness was the only reason why is skipped this and got AD2030 instead.
It is really the only negative about this one.
Just bought one from Aliexpress for $56
That is amazing. Great price
$42!
👍
👍
$42 for the quartz version...
That’s insane. I wonder if it’s also a bit thinner.
14.4? Mamma mia
Yep
Willard version better and less.
I’m a big fan of that one too
Nice dial, shame about the ridiculous logo!
It is a polarising logo. I don’t mind it.
The watch is fantastic. Especially at this price.
Indeed it is cheap. Indeed it looks cheap.
Thanks for WATCHing
