The basic idea is musical. The note teevra madhyam forms the focal point in the composition. Various ragas of individual identity utilise this note as a common thread in a composition.

For Madhavi Mudgal, Indian classical dance presents a dynamic and continuous process of exploration and renewal. She believes it holds infinite potential for innovation and creative expression. With this faith in the traditional form, its intricately structured framework does not bind her; on the contrary, it provides her a reservoir of possibilities. Vistar offers an experience of the traditional dance form of Odissi with a contemporary sensibility. The Nritta (abstract dance highlighting rhythmic structures), and Abhinaya (expressional) elements are interwoven with a creative approach that results in a unique synthesis.

Madhavi Mudgal (Biography)
Renowned dancer, choreographer and guru, Madhavi Mudgal is highly acclaimed as a dancer who has enriched and extended her dance tradition with fresh perspectives and insights. Having imbibed a very rich dance vocabulary from Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, along with a strong family background of classical music, both her solo and group work is characterised by lyricism and intuitive musicality.
Her and her disciples have been featured extensively in major cities and prestigious dance festivals throughout the world. Her awards include the Padma Shri, the Odisha State and Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards, Grande Medaille de laVille by the city of Paris, the Sanskriti Award, the
Delhi State Parishad Samman, the Nritya Choodamani, and the Chevalier de l’ordre des arts et des lettres by the Govt of France.

Dancers did their best. Musicians did their best.
No remarks on dancing and singing part. But need to develop camera work.
I'm not a professional either in odissi Or photography but I am a observer of odissi dance
In odissi dance dancers usually follow tribanga( three bends) at knees torso and head
I can't see most of the foot work. It's all dark on the ground.
In Long shoots I can't see their subtle expressions and mudras
Indian classical dances are almost filled with subtle expressions which potray emotion.
I think camera man should avoid long and dim shots
I would urge Darbar community to take my suggestions into consideration

I agree. Also, in modern Odissi, I expect to see new moves and fresh choreography but I keep seeing the regular movements we see in all choreographies. Another thing the outfits are always quite dull of colour, design and ornament. I would love to see the dancers sparkle and shine and command the stage with their presence. I am also an Odissi dancer and would love to implement a new dimension to this beautiful dance form.
