When those Bass hooks & Synth were the engine room of the band's sound. Epic

This Recording of Simple Minds Early Material is probably the best that I've listened to thus far. The quality is very good and the enthusiasm of Jim Kerr seems to be feeding the Band and making them even better. Thank you Craig Floyd!

The intro to Sons & Fascination is awesome. Love the percussive start. (Edit added) Actually prefer the drumming on this set overall, S&F and Room are so much better than just the powerhouse that is Mel Gaynor.

Whoever has the master tape needs to upload it. Vinyl clicks detract from the music.,

I used to have the master cassette for this recording. It was a C90 cassette, I taped the show when Swedish public service radio broadcasted it some time in 1982. After I Travel there’s a jump in time since I had to stop recording after 45 minutes to turn the cassette around and continue on the b-side. The somewhat compressed sound is typical of the Panasonic radio recorder I had in my early teens.
Amazing that this recording lives its own life!
