8:00 Jimmy Armfield, Blackpool legend actually born in Denton, Tameside Greater Manchester. There is a statue of three famous sons of Tameside outside the ground of non league Curzon Ashton. The statue depicts not only Armfield, but also Simone Perrotta, and certain little known footballer called Geoff Hurst who were both born in Ashton under Lyne.

not a massive fan of SCFC, but, having lived in the town all my life, the team has had more ups and downs than a knackered lift 😛
Lot's of Stockport fans were in St Anne's on Thursday, some were here for half a week.

Another great vlog Stephen again showing us life in and around Blackpool. The streets going to Blackpools ground reminded me of walking down Hessle road going to see Hull City play at Boothferry Park back in the 80's.
They now play at the KKC stadium after Boothferry park was demolished and new houses built. BTW we live in East Kent now more the reason why we support Hull City & Newcastle Utd & love watching your vlogs ⚽️😁💜💜💜xxxx

Used to get free tickets to watch county with school. Thier old coach used to come n teach us PE in the mid 2000s
Same here Walkon, I was a big Sunderland fan when we won the FA Cup in 73, then after that I lost interest when it all went stupid.
I didn't go today I just don't like Blackpool it depresses me, however that would have cheered me up today.

When I was a kid I lived close to the Blues football ground, I am an Aston Villa fan…..same as my Dad was we would NeEVEr support Blues 😂
My dad told me of a workmate he had in the 70's who wouldn't eat tomato sauce because it was red, and he was an Everton supporter!
Stockport fan here. Saw you on Henry street before the game.
Good result for us and a good atmosphere. There were loads of cops after the game and they blocked off Henry street with vans. Bloomfield road felt a bit unloved and in need of some TLS. Cheers

I went to an AFC Fylde game a few years ago. It's quite posh at Mill Farm.
Ebbsfleet had better get cracking if they want to get their new stadium and the other stuff built to justify the cost!

Hi Stephen. Like you I have totally lost interest in football. In the mid 1990s I used to watch Blackpool with a few blokes from Chorley. We used to go on the supporters club which was in a wooden shed under one of the stands. It was basic but good fun. Pie and peas was about £2. The football was ways terrible. Going back to the 80s I remember being on the Spion Kop. Oh that was dreadful. Happy days.
@@mikebryan7060 Thanks Mike. I remember watching us beat Scunthorpe in a play off match from the old east stand & seeing the Scunny fans on the east corner of the Spion Kop. Good job it wasn’t raining & blowing a gale for them.
