    I noticed when I tried singing "somewhere over the rainbow" the back of my tongue immediately got tight trying to hit the high note. This is definitely going to take some practice but I can hear the difference when I force my tongue to remain relaxed. Thanks so much for all these amazing lessons!

    I’ve always had a tight jaw when I sing and have never been able to resolve it. I think this might be the reason. I’m an instrumentalist, not a vocalist, but I love to sing and the tension has always made it uncomfortable. I’m excited to try this.

      You can also try to sing some vowels while making a surprised face. Look like you are surprised and let your mouth stand open.

    Hi Victoria! All of your videos have been extraordinarily helpful in improving my singing! My biggest struggle now is keeping my vowels clear in song. I find myself doing well with vowel exercises, but once I start a song I often “trip” over the consonants. Do you have any videos or tips related to this? 😁

    Love your playful teaching as always
    One question.
    When I try to sing with resonance the words are not clear! How to sing resonance with clear words?
    Should I sing sing the resonance on vowels?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад +1

      Yes, practice on vowels because the vowel carries the tone. See my video on consonants that will be posted tomorrow!

    Hi Victoria! Great video. Shouldn't the tongue rest on the roof of your mouth when resting? Or do you mean the rest position during singing? I had a huge tongue tie and three surgeries on it. Helped a lot. But still lots of tongue tension. Work in progress.

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  9 месяцев назад +1

      No, I say that the tongue should rest at in bed of your mouth (bottom), with the natural curve, when at rest.

    How in the heck am I supposed to know which Vitoria's Victorious Vaocal Exercise Program to signup for ? Not sure if I should choose Bass/Baritone or Tenor. Especially considering Freddie Mercury (Queen is my favorite band) was classified as a Baritone.

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад +1

      In answer to your question, each program covers 2 1/2 octaves in range. If singers are not sure of their voice type, I recommend ordering alto/mezzo-soprano for women and bass/baritone for men, especially for beginners. That is for lower to medium voice types, so unless you consider your voice to be high, this should work. If not, you have 30 days to switch to the higher voice category.

      @@Victoria-Victorious Thank you very much Victoria. I love singing but never had lessons so I would consider myself a beginner. Bass/baritone here I come :)

    I feel like my tongue is solely responsible for speaking, with no tension felt in my lips. It seems like total control during speech is solely on my tongue. Due to this I experience discomfort while speaking, especially with words that include the 'd' or 't' sound, as my tongue hurts. could you suggest some exercises to correct this problem?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  2 месяца назад

      Oh, sorry, this would be better answered by a speech pathologist (speech therapist).

    Has anyone who has learned from your videos alone, met you in person and shown you that they can sing as a result of your lessons?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад +4

      Yes, every month I have singers who are members my audio exercise program perform live on Zoom. Other singers submit videos for evaluation. I teach singers from all over the world online, so they don’t need to come see me in person. They all learn from my YT videos, which have far more info than what you typically find online. Do you have doubts that it works? The thousands of comments under my videos speak for themselves.
