@Wink1882 - Well thanks for pointing this out buddy . Although Kings have been Coronated at Westminster Cathedral since William the Conqueror , it was really Queen Victoria and Prince Albert who brought in the idea of Public Relations - most notably the balcony at Buckingham Palace .
We're just heading home we've been here since 3.30 this morning and it's been an amazing day apart from the rain but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits totally an historic occasion and something me & family will cherish for ever God save the King and Queen.❤🤍💙

How times have changed. The coronation review flypast for the queen had no less than 600planes, and a further 300 on the ground for a static review. And most of those were of British design and build.
American here - I am so glad I was able to see the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla!!! I loved seeing the newly crowned King and Queen on the balcony with their entourage. I loved the his-n-hers crowns. I thought they were perfect - not too bare and not too showy. For just a second, when I closed my eyes I could see Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth there, too. I have no doubt she and Prince Philip were looking down, bursting with pride. And, I'm quite sure Charles was wishing they were there with him as well. Well done, Great Britain! God save the King and Queen! Long live the King and Queen!
GB news didn't know much, it was announced long before the flypass which was going to be 8 mins long, that due to weather conditions it would be cancelled, the planes start the formation over the north sea then fly in, it was low cloud so the risks were too high, one of the air squadron leaders went into the tv studio outside the palace and made the announcement
I was going to go down to watch the flypast but cancelled due to the forecast. Tracked the formation gathering over the Norfolk coast and began to regret it. Then saw it was only going to be the helicopters and the Reds, breathed a sigh of relief! I've photographed too many flypasts in overcast conditions.
Sad that the weather messed the full flypast up & the BBMF couldn't show its wonderful stuff but I'd like to say the commentator at the start was spot on when he said no one should talk when the Spitfire & Lancaster were on, indeed no one should say a word when any aircraft with a Roll's Royce Merlin engine fitted passes over head. It's the most beautiful man made sound in the world that you'll ever hear.

The coronation was marvelous! No glitches, no ridiculous scenes.....music and vocals were angelic!!! Only thing that was annoying was Anderson Cooper bringing the buffoon, Harry, up in conversation. It's not about Harry, darling....it's the CORONATION OF KING CHARLES III!!!
Really really pleased with how it all went. KC you pulled it off without a hitch.. I enjoyed the spectacle and was especially glad to see our armed forces honoured and what a show they always put on. He gave us theatre, medieval rite and it was short enough for even little Louis not to get bored!!! Well done, wish you luck in your rein, listen to your people and you will be OK. Don't try to please everyone, because you will please no one. Keep backing your good causes and you will be loved.
A select British accent/vocal tone was well suited to the now % defunct British Empire usage. Edit add'n.. isn't the king on this CC agenda, surely he could have ruled out the unnecessary carbon footprint from these aircraft. But then there's also the Ukraine war, isn't there .. old boy !
