No pressure to listen to and like all their songs! BTS release songs under a variety of genres and not all of them are for everyone. Though if you are considering looking into more of their releases, you should for sure check out more or their solo work and older songs. There are lists people have created online of top rated songs (by the fanbase) within their discography that you should definitely look into if you want to hear different music from them instead of their english songs.

The english songs are just since 2021, and they debut in 2014 so there a lot of songs like "bsides" but really not because they lit debut with hiphop songs. I can recommend you to listen: Danger, N.O, Dyonisus, Dope, Boy in Luv, Cypher 1, 2, 3 and 4, Ddaeng, and their debut song No More Dream. Thank u for react to them and this type of their songs, the people now just focus on the english songs and that definitely dont represent their 10 years of career. (sorry for my english)

@@mizelle4096 True tho. I skip those two English songs a lot. Especially PTD. I heard that song twice and never again. It's cute tho. Just not for me. I'm just glad they still release good songs. Their bsides are always amazing. And their solo albums are all amazing in my opinion. Especially the rapline's albums. What saddens me is that mainstream media focusing on Bts' English songs has stereotyped their music into only being generic-pop-boyband-music. When their discography is extremely versatile. Altho yes they have a few Korean songs that sound like a typical kpop sound, but the lyrics are extremely deep when analyzed like "idol".

    • @lee2mx

@@mizelle4096 i love those songs. it did what they wanted it to do and the songs are fun. I've been army since hyyh and liked them because they had a nostalgic vibe and their 90s rap. The english songs are good songs but of course everyone has different tastes and I prefer their more R&B songs like house of cards, rain , just one day etc.

    1. You need to hear the cyphers-1, 2, 3, 4.
    2. You need to see the concert footage of them performing the Cyphers.---their performance, the swag is INSANE! It's another level! And the crowd looks like an entire nation of people.
    3. You need to read the lyric videos of the cyphers-absolute coldest diss tracks I've ever heard. And i listen to A LOT of rap.
There's a saying for the Cyphers:
-RM explains (with a sharpshooter's focus) why your rap skills are sh*t.
-J-Hope comforts you (while flowing all over the beat) and tells you that it's ok to be sh*t.
-and Suga (just massacres all your hopes and dreams) and tells you to stop trying, stay down, and stop wasting everyone's time b/c all your rap will ever be is sh*t.

If all you've heard is BTS mainstream songs and you think B-side songs are better, then TK, trust us when we tell you that BTS has over 200 PHENOMENAL B-sides, and those songs make PTD, Butter and Dynamite look like Baby Shark. Those 3 songs were made to appeal to American audiences, for mainstream radio play in the US and for Grammy nominations (notice how all 3 songs are totally in English).
The mainstream stuff is basic compared to everything BTS is really known for. You're not even on the tip of the iceberg. You're standing on top of two penguins, standing on top of each other, on the tip of the iceberg! BTS is the G.O.A.T. worldwide for a reason.

TBH, I barely consider Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance as BTS songs since they are so atypical and not written by BTS. They served their *purpose* during the *pandemic,* bringing us all *energy, cheer, and fun,* but that's about as far as it goes. When considering the music, lyrics, and artistry of ALL their other works, it's ironic to me that THOSE songs had such success because they were in English. It made me lose ALL respect for the musicianship of the Western/American music industry.
(Don't get me wrong; I do enjoy them and BTS performing them certainly elevated them. They're fun and catchy, I love how energized I feel watching them, and it's exciting to hear them in mainstream areas, but anyone who thinks this is the epitome of (BTS') musicianship, loses my respect.)

YAY!!!💜 LOVE your BTS-related reactions! 💜 The 3 english songs you know and are probabaly talking about, are not their essence. You should dive into their albums and then you'll see why they are the best. The lyricism is unmatched. They write, produce and compose. I think you will love it if you go down the journey.

J Hope can switch from cute and funny to "dangerous" in a split second.. Please react to More and Arson from his 2022 Jack in the Box album and/or his 2022 Lollapalooza performance in Chicago. All seven members are very talented. Please react to UGH live at their Busan concert and also Cypher 3 from that same concert. The live performance of UGH is so much better (boxing ring performance during COVID is good too). Their live concerts are fantastic.

J-hope is a rapper and a sub-vocalist. BTS started out as a rap group. The more you deep dive into BTS catalogs you may end up looking their main stream music. There music tells stories and a lot of their songs are connected to tell a story, but that is in the BU (Bangtan Universe) you wont be ready for that until later. They have their own variety shows and game shows. commercials, interviews, dance practices, behind the scenes, concerts and award shows, there is so much material. We also have solo songs within the BTS group and now they all have solo projects. tkdotoomuch you have a lot to look forward to.

Being a fan of BTS or any artist for that matter doesn’t mean you have to like every song. You can appreciate their music, performance, hard work ethic, and personalities. Everyone has their own taste in music, and BTS has such a large array of genres you can listen to. Honestly getting to know them allows you to explore their music and find what you like. And yes J-hope is often associated with brightness, positivity and of course hope, but he is scary when he is mad or in dance leader mode. The last thing you want to do is make a dance mistake in front of him😂😂. He also has a more lyrical style of rap. His mixtape Hope World is bright like his personality, but his recent album Jack In the Box has a darker sound and allowed him to express himself a lot more.

I can't get into mainstream stuff either, including BTS. I mean it's not bad, their mainstream songs, but when you really dig into them they're some of the most hype and skilled rappers I've ever heard. I didn't know or really spend much time with BTS either until one day I did and now I'm in a virtual tribute band playing J-HOPE. lol. Speaking of J-HOPE, he's one of the most accomplished rappers in the world, topping the charts and so I'm really surprised you haven't noticed he's a rapper lmao. Check out his Lollapalooza performance from I think 2022, he headlined it. First Korean artist to headline, and also just happened to be record-breaking year for ticket sales and highest attended day in the festival's history. HOWEVER, that makes him sound incredibly mainstream like the other guys you listed, but there's lots to enjoy there. j-hope's Pandora's Box is my favorite. But check out Arson or More MVs. He was always the happy rapper guy until More and Arson solo debut and we saw a whole other side of him O.O Lots of BTS songs, especially older, are way more rich and cool than Dynamite and Butter. Those are great, but not the only flavor of BTS. Have you heard Mic Drop with Steve Aoki? My favorites are Fire (Suga's last line of the song is for you!) and Not Today, but for b-sides it's Boyz with Fun (careful there's a few different songs of theirs with similar titles, waaaay different), Rap Monster's (RM) "Do You", and AGUST D's (Suga) "Daechwita". Something else I love about j-hope is he has a little bit of the crazy joker quality in his voice like Hongjoong does. Tell me if you hear it too! Actually Yoongi (Suga/Agust D) too! lol I can't wait to see your reaction to Daechwita, it changed whole people's lives lol by the way "daechwita" refers to something is kinda like a Korean version of battle marching music.

BTS has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists they initially started as a hip hop group; in their early days but restructured to be KPop idols. They're rap line is among the best in the world, top 5 IMO respectively. If you like their raps, you'll also love Agust D (aka Suga) known as his alter ego for his solo projects. He had a sold-out solo world tour last year in the US and many countries in Asia. These 3 JHope, Suga, and RM are musical geniuses, they write and produce all their raps and a lot of the vocal songs for the other members as well. They are all highly respected in the industry.

"Who made the mad bro" that's the point of the song right there! in this world people are always getting angry uselessly when when anger is a powerful and useful tool when directed correctly the song is a about how they are saying they hate anger full of vitriol that causes harm. they say the anger needs to be directed at something worth being angry about in order to be useful they also say that our propensity for getting angry at the littlest thing is ruining anger as a whole.

The rap line is the foundation of BTS, who are all hip hop to their bones. The rappers were the first three members, are the main songwriters and producers and the leaders of the group. RM is the official leader, was the first member and the group was literally built around him. Suga and j-hope are kinda the parents of the group, functioning in that mentorship and leadership role to their younger members and looking after them at home. They all lived together from 2010-2022, and the first few years the younger members were all still in school. The youngest member moved in with them when he was in middle school.
RM is most definitely not Australian. All members are Korean. He is just a genius (literally, 148 IQ) who taught himself English as a child.
You really should react to DKDKTVs explanation of this song. It’s incredibly lyrically complex. Also, watch this live. They are so much better live. Try the live at Busan, j-hope swallows it whole.

JHope as a rapper: go see More, Arson, and Boy Meets Evil. There's SO much more, even just from him, but those give a sense of his power. He's also got a couple documentary specials on the streaming platforms: Prime has a series he did on street dancing called Hope On The Street, and his headlining performance at Lollapalooza is an event not to be missed. (It was the first time one of the members performed as a solo artist, whole show. Not to be confused with solo song performed in a BTS concert. He led the group as they shifted focus to individual/solo activities as they prepared for their military enlistment periods.)
*Edit: also the Wembley Stadium rapline performance of Outro:Tear is a MUST SEE.

BTS b-sides are definitely their best stuff. Even though I think their singles are great, almost all my favourite songs are album tracks. They write their own lyrics as well, produce quite a bit, and their lyrics can get really introspective and deep. If you liked this check out the cyphers, Ddaeng, Outro: Tear, Persona, Shadow, Ego, Hip Hop Lover, Born Singer etc. All the rap line's solo work is fire too. I personally recommend Still Life by RM, Arson by j-hope and Daechwita by Agust D to get started. Have fun with it!
[Edit:] I checked the rest of this channel, and he's a whole kpop reactor who raves over other groups even with their weakest songs... but apparently BTS is "too mainstream" and "maybe Black Swan was ok"... alright. Someone's clearly looking to rage-bait ARMY, so let's remove our attention instead.
