In the final of the 2018 Valspar Championship, Tiger Woods showed signs of the past with his incredible birdie putt on the 17th hole, but finished in a tie for second in the final round.
The Valspar Championship is held at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. In 2017, Adam Hadwin outlasted Patrick Cantlay in a thrilling duel that was tied going up the par-4 18th hole and resulted in Hadwin's first TOUR victory.

Hasn't been in the white heat of Sunday contention in a long time. Gutted it out with his B- game and then rewarded his adoring public with a monster Sunday Tiger putt at the 17th. Fourth official start back and already facing a birdie putt on the 72nd hole to force playoff. This comeback might genuinely be possible!

I need almost a month to catch up after I return to work from two weeks vacation. This guy comes back after two years and he's already challenging leaders. Oh yeah, he's definitely gonna win himself a couple tourneys.

If he stays fit and healthy, it's INEVITABLE that he's going to win more tournaments. He has the will and the hunger and most importantly(and ominously for all the other players on tour), looks like he's enjoying himself on a golf course again finally! That combined with his pure talent and immense feel means he is the player to watch this year! Look out everyone else....the king is back!! Of course people will knock him for his past transgressions-rightly so-but isn't that what it's all about? Finding redemption? When he does win a tournament the floodgates will open, and it will be sporting box office! Golf has missed you Tiger. I for one am glad to have you back.

The first swing is better than 2007. There is no "stuck behind" - really fluid - and the total distance was 319.
Benjamin Kaiser good point. 2004 comes to mind with a controlled backswing and great follow through.

Yeah, Casey comes out of nowhere with a staggering round. But for that, he wins this tournament.
he should have but casey put in a beast round on that final one. Tiger also missed alot of short game as seen in this highlight which cost his title, but his game is certainly taking the right steps. He is hitting solid consistent shots, composed at bad shots and very matured tiger. Plus this is his first main torunament where he is on point, hope he carries this momentum onwards

This is the best Tiger has looked in a long time. More accurate this week off the tee. Short game was on point. Gives me hope for the Masters.

Tiger is coming around nicely; his game is gearing up for Augusta. And I cannot be happier for him. Congrats to Paul for his first win in ten years. Tiger made winning look so easy in the beginning of his career, so I guess he spoiled his fans. This is going to be a breakout year for Mr. Woods as well as a historic one IMHO.

When the broad have that split screen with the virtual drive on the right I find myself looking at the right side and seeing where the ball might land. One day it maybe TV’s golf version of 3rd down marker. I love seeing how the player shape their shots.

Okay I feel I need to say this... for all the people saying “golf is exciting again”, it’s been always been this way. Yes, Tiger is f*cking awesome and it’s great to see him playing well again, but crazy stuff happens every week... that’s why I watch golf: every 10 minutes you see something you could never hope to pull off, and at times it’s even something crazy like a hole in one or albatross. For example, just last week, JT holed out from 130 yards on the last hole to get into a playoff. Watching that live was amazing. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if you’re new to golf or just getting into it and you liked what you saw here, then I highly recommend starting to watch more tournaments, even if Tiger isn’t in the mix. These guys are incredible, and I’ve always found watching a heated final round to be awesome.

I know Tiger's Cameron is iconic, and he's had an amazing past with it, but maybe it's time he experiments with a different putter? I know it's a lot of "the indian and not the arrow", but his ballstriking is not the issue, it's his putting. He's missing SO many putts in the 5-8ft range it's crazy.

Speed is back, short game is back.....Once his putting comes back everybody watch out...Tiger wins a major this year if he keeps playing like this....If he dials in on his putter he will be number 1 again!
