I have been using two small companies finesse baits for my ned rig. they are from big sexy baits (oxymoron i know) and Rabid Baits who infuses hair in their baits like a hair jig does. Really cool baits
@@AlexRuddFishing a river bass that primarily eats crawdads seems right up your alley frfr. If you ever make it down around the Flint river lmk and we'll bust some.
Been waiting on this video. Been watching your videos and basically been doing everything except for “poppin’ the slack”. First time fishing with the ned a week ago and was able to put some decent fish in the kayak. Appreciate the details man. Definitely going to try it. Hope you have a great school year man!
yo Alex just wondering if you can make a little video on how you tie all your things up. Like how you tie on your Ned Rigs and the other baits/lures you use
The hairy knuckles are a distraction. I woulda thought you would have drug it off by now.🤣 Thanks for the fc sniper tip. I need to try it for sure. I am breaking alot on the hookset. Good stuff buddy. Keep it coming
🤔 Hmmmmm, It seems like a lot of anglers that I seen on RUclips or when I watch fishing on the outdoor channel are into this Ned rig. this ned rig must be very popular. I never done it myself because I only fish for trout and I don't know if it would work or not for them. Anyway great video enjoyed watching and great information 👍👍👍👍
Interesting,,, I’m gonna crack em! I do that with the wacky and get the same results. I’m serious, I get a little happy with the wacky and not so much with ned. Imma try it on the ol ned!
If you like sunline fc sniper, you should try sunline FC crank it is some great flourocarbon for cranking and alex i know you love to throw the crankbait, and i have been using it and it works wonders getting those treble hooks into the fishes mouth , it has a little more stretch in it than regular flouro
You got me tuned in more intently to the ol deadly Nedly. It caught me an entire limit in one of my tournaments this year. It’s caught me at least one fish in every tournament but one. Like you said, I don’t leave home without one ready to go. It’s a dedicated rig for me.
I fish the Ned rig more than I do anything. I use both light and heavier weight than most. I love Morning Dawn color myself. Great color for fish around here because they see tons of green pumpkin. I do rig some of my baits with glass rattles. Baby Menace and rage tail craws get a rattles when I feel the need. Thank you for sharing this. I knew I couldn't be the only one
What I don’t understand is how you keep from getting hung up. I’ve switched more to the ewg weedless style Ned heads but I still don’t have confidence in it.
Also, I’ve been using the Nichols JT Ned Head and like it, doesn’t get hung that much and the hook is sturdy as all get out. Gambler has that Power Ned which Balzz swears by. Haven’t tried it yet.
Love watching Zona crack them! His tube fishing is an inspiration and He uses heavy weights. Try the power ned!! Like Mikey Ballz and his like 3/4 oz head. It's the Power Deadly NedLeeee!!
I just don't see the point to the ned rig. I bank fish, and only carry a few setups. I find a neko rigged senko runs the same pattern a ned does, with the added bonus that I can use the exact same hook, not have to swap anything, and go to a wacky rig if I want to get suspending fish.
You can't logically deny it's ability to produce fish, but it's just so boring to fish. If I gotta catch them with a Ned rig I'd choose another way to spend my time.
If you fish it the way he described, and work the bait (aka not just sit and dead stick it), then it actually is fun to fish. Not much different than a texas rig.

I love the ned rig. thank you
Great tips cracking a Ned I will be trying that Awesome channel
Ok Alex you convinced me on my next trip I'll put down the silent crankbait and will give the Ned a try 👊
Really enjoy all the videos lately

Mag shroom head with giant TRD is a go for me
You inspire me to fish more deadly nedly tyvm i love the information
Caught my first LM on a Ned rig. Love that rig!
Have tried ned rig in past but felt was just to slow. After those tips I will give another shot. Used some of your links and added stuff to cart 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks brother!
@@AlexRuddFishing did you do a video about the joining of being a perks member?

With your advice on colors I just got back from western VA and the only thing I caught fish on was moon juice- that color is fire!
Nice! Glad I could help.
Great video. Hope you get too 100k
Thanks Alex, will try out some of your techniques this weekend.
That's my go to bait love it I pond hop a lot
I actually just put together a ned rig box for my tennessee trip.
What depths do you feel most confident in fishing the 3/16 heads for the ned, shakeyhead and big worm?
The deadliest Nedly!
I have been using two small companies finesse baits for my ned rig. they are from big sexy baits (oxymoron i know) and Rabid Baits who infuses hair in their baits like a hair jig does. Really cool baits
Try red bug! My favorite color!💯
The TRD Crawz schmack Shoal Bass
I want to catch a shoal bass!

JJs Magic is an extremely underrated scent/dye. I don't fish without it.
What advantage/dis-advantage of Ned vs shaky head?

I laughed out loud at this 😂👊🏻
Hahahaha
Biggest bass I got this year was on the Ned rig.

I have caught rainbows on the ned rig.

Got any locations to fish for a middle tennessee guy?
I’ve not spent much time fishing out that way.

Hey, RUclips. Do the algorithm things!
So funny, I’m a 5/16 guy for all of the same reasons 😂
Also, I’ve been using the Nichols JT Ned Head and like it, doesn’t get hung that much and the hook is sturdy as all get out. Gambler has that Power Ned which Balzz swears by. Haven’t tried it yet.
Deadly Beardly Nedly....TShirts dropping this fall🔥🔥👊🏼👊🏼
So Deadly so Nedly!

Outkast Tackle Perfect Ned Head. Leave the rest behind
Tyler Anderson gave me some of those. Pretty good head.
100% opposite opinion. I hate it more than anything else. I have zeroed in tournaments because I hate the Ned that much lol
Have you tried the zman EWG ned heads, or anything similar? I'm curious to know what you think.
So what your saying is to do the complete opposite of whatever everyone else does.
You can't logically deny it's ability to produce fish, but it's just so boring to fish. If I gotta catch them with a Ned rig I'd choose another way to spend my time.

What length on your leader line
Two rod lengths, I reel it down to the spool of the reel and then cut even with the butt of the rod.
