Thanks for sharing your settings with us! It definitely helps give beginners like me have a starting point when it comes to setting up my camera. Once all the fear surrounding cv has died down, I will be rushing into the city to make photos!! And also just a question - are you going to be getting a screen protector for your x100v? I was wondering what a good brand would be for that haha if you don't mind me asking

I've seen another tutorials where they shoot on AF-S but with Zone (instead of Single Point). Why is that? Which are the benefits of each one? I've read that zone gives you that speed for taking the exact moment, without needing to take care of moving your point so much on the screen.
You can press and hold MENU/OK to lock the back of the camera

you can lock the d pad by holding down the menu/ok button
Is high Iso really better on the V? Does not seem that way on Dpreview
To see more accurate representation of the file I'm capturing I don't change all the shadow and highlights and so forth instead I set one of the function buttons to toggle the setting preview picture effect. This lets you instantly see a very flat image that is accurate to what the raw is capturing and the histogram becomes much more reliable.
That’s why your tee is so familiar. Is that the oversized from Uniqlo? I have the exact same colour too. Lol

Does the 100F not have half press focus lock? why have a separate button to lock focus? inquiring minds :)
I'm pretty sure you can! I like having the focus button separate from my shutter because I don't always want my camera to refocus when I hit the shutter everytime
@@FaizalWestcott I feel that, I usually just do the half press and recompose.
AFL allows Zone Focus technique i.e. setting the focus to a fixed distance, maintaining that distance until AFL is pressed again or the camera is turned off. Handy for street/from the hip work, compose/snap no waiting for AF. I also use AFL for Hyperfocal technique F8 -11ft, so as not to worry about accidentally hitting the focus ring.

Despite a huge generational gap [gandson] I use exactly the same settings except I shoot JPEG Fine by default ; ] On to the V, don't have to disable the D.

Hey Faizal! In your room setting you might consider change the direction of your cam a little bit . Light coming from the curtains is little bit overexposed and distracting. Just wanted to let you know. I like your channel and videos and especially photos! Let the light be with you!
