My top three favorites: 1 - Using buttons to store/organize earrings 2 - Sticking solar lights in clay pots for outdoor lighting 3 - Knowing bagged foods that have a lot of give are the freshest (DID NOT KNOW THIS! Thanks for sharing, and great news about your Dad! He will be in my prayers.
The paper towel storage will work better if they're still packaged, same for toilet paper. That pool noodle on the car window was genius! May your Dad improve!
The button/earring idea, would be great if you have a bulletin board where you could stick a flora straight pin through the eye of button & stick on bulletin board. Would be easy to see all your earrings at one time.
The solar light is great in case you lose power. They put out enough light to see, you can carry them with you and they're much safer than candles. Love these tips Noreen!
Prayers for your dad!🙏🙏 The whisk on the drill. We grow potatoes. We got a brush that we can put on a drill - take a 5 gallon bucket and add potatoes and water. Then we use the brush on the potatoes. Sometimes³ we empty the water and add fresh water so it is clean. It takes the peels off, so there is no peeling. It is esp nice when needing to peel lots at one time.
Thanks for the laughter! Please know that people care about you and your family. I uplift you and your family in prayer. Anyone who has "been there" understands the everchanging possibilities.
Norrine my thoughts and prayers are with your dad and family. (Sending healing energy your way). I use a pool noodle on my window when I'm not able to get out of the car to take pictures of wildlife. I go to Kentucky a lot to the Elk and Bison trail. So having the noodle on my window saves my camera lens and helps support the camera.
Your family and your dad especially are in my prayers. I have set a goal of watching 10 of your videos daily for this month. What fun to go back and see old goodies and discover some I have not seen. Take care of yourself.
I'm glad they were able to catch his sepsis so quickly. Our Associate Pastor's wife who is a nurse just did an informational session on sepsis. I believe that it was 60% of the time sepsis is miss diagnosed in the beginning. If not caught early, it can be deadly. She used the acronym TIME. T: Temperature lower than normal. I: recent Infection . M: Mental deficiency. E: Extremely ill.
I LOVE your old videos, Norrine. And every now and then I come across one I don't remember having seen, so it's a NEW video to me. You just hang in there, sweetie. We're behind you and love you.
Love these hacks. My fave was the button. Never knew that about laundry cup. I rinse mine off in the water coming out of the washer after I first start it.
This was lighthearted and fun! I liked the earring/button idea and the solar light in a pot the best. Blessings to your father and your family during this difficult time.
Thanks for the update on your dad. If he is showing some progress, then he is heading in the right direction. Wishing the best for you and your family at this time. The pool noodle attached to the window is a great idea for very long travels in a vehicle with no air conditioning. We had to make a 1,000 mile trip in a car with no air conditioning, and at the time, I used a small blanket on the window ledge but if I had seen the pool noodle, I would have used it. Thanks for sharing the hacks that ranged from good ideas to not so good hacks.
The bag of food freshness hack is really helpful. The buttons for earrings and the solar pots are great ideas too. Positive Healing and Blessed Vibes for your Dad and family in this stressful times. 🐞 Namaste 🥰
When I put laundry soap into a measuring cup, I use a piece of the laundry that's going in the washer to wipe out the cup. I have a clean measuring cup and I've also spot treated the shirts my husband spilled something on. The pool noodle for a window that won't roll all the way down is pretty close to genius.
Some of these ideas truly made me LOL, but, in the immortal words of another of my favorite RUclipsrs, "if it works, is it really a bad idea?" Some of these are really and truly sheer genius in my opinion. The pool thing and the drill mixer really cracked me up. Talk about some redneck ingenuity. And those last 3 were just crazy. 😅😅😅 I'm so sorry for what your family is going through right now and hope and pray for a full and speedy recovery for your dad very soon. ❤❤
Love the button idea and I laughed when I saw the detergent cap hack because I've been doing that for YEARS and I was pretty sure I was the only one doing it. Praying for your Dad and your family...
I like seeing the old videos sometimes. I have been with you from the beginning and it is great to remember when... I will be praying for your das recovery and also a prayer for you and your families blessed comfort.
please do whatever you have to do for your family and don't worry about youtube we'll be here whenever you get back, to full-speed family first, always!
Yes on the pool noodle arm rest. Yes, I knew about throwing the laundry soap cup in with the cloths. Been watching old vids, still learning. Best to your dad
Dad, You and family are in my thoughts and prayers. Our parents are infallible. They cannot get sick. Our feelings growing up but as adults it is so emotitonal seeing and realizing that they are just like us. When they get sick it brings to the forefront so many thoughts and emotions, it is difficult to process them all.. Hugs and prayers.
Mini! Hugs, my friend!! Prayers continue for dad and for you and the fam as well. I love the love and support you're getting from YT and FB! Love the button/earring idea and will absolutely use it. I have earrings galore and you KNOW I have buttons in the handy dandy organizer we made!! Hugs and prayers my friend!! 🤗❤️😉🌵🤗
I'm glad your dad is hanging in there. You gotta do what you gotta do, so making different videos is fine. And I certainly did giggle at some of those things. God bless.
Many prayers and blessings to you and your dad. Just the fact that you are there with your thoughts prayers and support will make a great difference in his life. PS I loved the button idea as well as the paper towel suggestions. As far as the shopping cart grill I got a big chuckle out of there too it's amazing the creativity of some people although I don't think I would take that suggestion. I am hopeful that the sun will shine in your corner of the world today
Hello lady... This is a very interesting and fun video.... I enjoy rewatching videos... Great reminders Thoughts and prayers too you all and your dad🙏🙏
Wow… I sure appreciate the first tip, I was suppose to see this! I go hunting for the matching earring always! I promise I keep them together but it always happens!?! Thank you so very much! Praying for your Dad, you and your family. 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
I have been a diet tech, registered for 43 years and have worked with the geriatric population for the majority of these years. We have weaned many residents off of a tube feeding with the help of speech therapy. Of course, I am assuming your dad is pretty weak and most people don't think about how much energy is takes to eat. The feeding tube is a good thing to help sustain him during this challenging time. I will continue to pray for your dad and hope he can come home soon.
Hi Noreen I hope your father feels better soon. Thank you for this quick video. I thought the buttons was great especially for travel. A great way to keep your earrings neat when you travel.
Thanks for the giggles, Norrine. And yes, some good ideas. Prayers for your Dad, for you, and your family. 🙏🏻 Been rewatching some old videos and always pick up a new tidbit.
I've been washing our laundry detergent cap for.years!. Why waste the detergent by rinsing it all of the time? Wash it! Hope you dad recovers really soon!! Prayers for him, and your whole family.
I used to use the detergent in the washer all the time. I am sorry about your father. Sepsis is truly horrible and you should be glad he is being treated in the hospital. My husband got it and I got to give him his medication every time (they put the PIC tube on his dominant hand for some reason). I was glad he was home, believe me, but I cried after his injection. It was harder on me than him. Self care. Remember that is vital.
Love the button idea for the earnings! Some were quite funny and some helpful. The shopping cart cracked me up. You look great, keeping all of you in prayer..
PRAYING FOR YOUR DAD. I am subscribed and just tonight realized I haven't seen you in a while. I think I turned off notifications. I am always happy to view your videos!
Keeping your dad in my prayers and you and your family as well. Thank you for the update and you do what you need to do to keep your RUclips going. I love supporting you♥️
I got a giggle from so many of these too! I’m so sorry that your dealing with your fathers illness and hospitalization. You’ll definitely be in my prayers sweet lady!! My dad isn’t with us anymore, but we had him in and out of the hospital for years. It was a really difficult time for all of us, and so I do understand your heartache. Keep your spirits up, it’s amazing to see you bringing uplifting content to us, while you’re going through these difficulties. Best of luck! Prayers for healing 🙏🏻
Well, that was fun......so glad you did this video. Sometimes the weirdest ideas actually work and I really appreciate the heads up about the bagged salad. I do occasionally get them and had not heard or realized that, but it makes total sense. Prayers to you and your family for Dad 🙏❤🇨🇦
These were great hacks and some pretty funny. There are some ingenious people out there, like the shower and grocery cart! I love the earring idea as am always hunting for the mate in my jumbled mess! Other great ideas are the pancake batter...,I would freeze some to have when needed, and the solar lights in flower pot great for camping. I'm afraid my cats would think I put up a new scratching toy if I put the paper towels out like that in the garage!!! And the level on the drill a great idea. Bring us more. I enjoyed this!!! I hope your dad will improve and heal. How difficult to go through this. Prayers....
I like the pool noodle idea! The rack and the drill were a little off the wall, but hey, they just might work 🤣🤣🤣! When I was in my teens, my girlfriend and here other siblings used to make grill cheese with an iron! They wood put the cheese between the bread and then wrap it up in foil and set it on a high temp and just iron it on both sides, and they would unwrap every know and then to see if the cheese was melting and the bread was browning. I thought it was a little crazy at first, but It actually worked, but I never tried it out 🤣! Thanks for the update on your dad. I really hope he gets better soon!
