- Everyone seems to be talking about Abercrombie since their rebrand but is it worth the hype, or is it just overrated? In this video, I ordered a load of clothing from the brand and I give my honest review on each piece!

It feels like Abercrombie got super lucky with the old money aesthetic trend, because otherwise I don't understand the hype
I think people went to them as a more affordable Aime Leon Dore too
their primary customers have grown up and out of casual/streetwear and there’s not many cheap options for stylish/elevated 25-35 yr old
Even for the old money aesthetic its not right on the money either... Its almost like a dumbed down streetwear version of the old money aethetic
I don’t get “old money aesthetic” with Abercrombie at all.
@@bluebanisters2889 Agreed, i think they will release very niche things like linen shirts or pants that people will pass off for old moeny and the overall scheme. For womens i can kind of barely see it, but for mens its not really good lol
The renaissance of Abercrombie! Have worn their latest clothes for the past year and love them! Super simple and great for essentials
On a side note, the knitted polos I had to size wayyyy down to XS for a a decent fit, but I normally wear M in the shirts and a small in the hoodies. You’re right the sizing is all over the shop🤣
Glad you like them bro. They need to sort their sizing out. If I’m ordering my regular size, I want it to fit like my regular size haha
@@HarryHas completely agree! Haha I can’t keep guessing what the sizes are going to be - Great video bro!
As a guy with a long torso who finds most shirts way too short, this video convinced me to try Abercrombie
Abercrombies rebrand is a vibe
Best jeans on the market
Dumped Levi’s 4 yrs ago
Levi’s had me in a 44 & 46 the inconsistent sizing was awful 😞
American eagle has made the worst jeans in terms of lasting no more than a year too much stretch
A&f runs true to size 38 and 40 and weird 36 pair from ‘02
I own 20 pairs from 2019 3 from 2020 3 pairs from 2021 1 pair of 90s loose fit from this year which I use for work and they have the double denim like carhartts pants so far they’re lasting longer than my carhartts got 31 days from carhartt so far 3 months in there fading beautifully
You should make this a series with different brands!
I have been 😉 I have Uniqlo, Weekday, Cos and Abercrombie on the channel so far
@@HarryHasyou should do Elwood clothing
@@HarryHasyou can try about blank clothing
I love watching your review videos because you’re always honest. I know I can trust something if you recommend it. I appreciate that you don’t just buy into hype. Great video as usual!
Pleased to hear bro and glad you liked the video 🤟🙏
Harry, the sound FX is so subtle yet boosts your video edits so well - great work man! Also you have inspired me to grow my hair long again ha
Pleased to hear man. Glad the small details are noticed. Trying to get better all the time with the edits. Go for it bro
Another great video, Harry! Really enjoying your channel!
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers from Brazil!
I kinda share your opinion, I feel like the quality of most products doesn't justify the high price and the fits are usually very weird...
I’ve been wearing Abercrombie for the passed 2 years now and I always wear a size down for the tops and it fits me perfectly with the length.
So interesting to see Abercrombie today compared to its original branding ~20 years ago. I'm not gonna lie, the copious amount of half-naked men in their advertising was my favorite part.
Videos getting better and better seriously ! I can’t wait to see your videos in the next coming years
Thank you so much bro. I learnt a lot from Tim Dessaint when I worked with him so putting it to use.
How does the quality compare to weekday? I’ve wanted to try weekdays barrel relaxed but they haven’t had my size in stock. Thinking of going for these instead.
Great video! I really appreciate, that you mentioned that you probably ordered the trousers in the wrong lenght :)
Thanks for watching mate and glad you enjoyed it
Great video! I think I like AF because I'm 6,5 and their shirts fit me well. It's hard to find a decent brand which accommodates tall people.
Yes, I can imagine they would be great at your height. Thanks for watching dude
I'm the same height as you, and I've found that they are oversized in general. Their length is great, but I don't want everything to be oversized, sometimes fitted just looks better
6’8” here and same for me. Never found better fitting shirts anywhere else. Plus the fit of their pants is on point for me too as they always have my 34 L inseam option for most of their styles. I’ve gotten like 20+ items from them in the past year because of this
My thoughts exactly! Ordered their 7inch all-day shorts in black, and the colour is closer to navy (which is not even an option for these). Also, their hoodies are top quality, very soft- but I always go a size down.
I felt the same way, everything was way too long. Shame because I would buy a lot from them if their clothing fit
Glad I’m not the only one thinking this.
what brand do you recommend for shorter fits in length as you mentioned? Bcs this is the problem that I always encounter
I have the same problem with the length of shirts from various brands. Do you have a solid recommendation where to find great fit t shirts or shirts? Thanks!
i like their shorts and their camp collar linen shirts. they always have some sort of sale running and often time coupon codes, so prices arent that bad in comparison to their normal prices
You are correct that most guys like the longer length of their shirts. You're probably a bit more fashion forward than their typical customer, which is why you're not finding any cropped or shorter items.
You are probably right 👍
I am not sure if people like this feat or are just used to it
Brands play it super safe with men fashion and only offer bland and basic outfit
@@karthage3637I'm one if the people who like the look of longer shirts and tops in general. While I would say these are basic I would not say they are bland at least by regular person standards. I would say this is more of a brand for people to dip their toes into new stuff like textures.
@@HarryHasthey sell cropped shirts you could have just bought a cropped shirt lol but instead insult their customer base....pretentious
They sell cropped clothes smh 🤦
I'm 6'2" with long arms and have loved their length for most garments. I like their boxy fit too. Any recs for a leveled up A&F that you can recommend?
grew to really love your videos :) and love the new hair !
Great to hear bro. Thanks a lot
I do agree with your conclusion about the fit of some of their items being really off and a bit too expensive, but as a shorter guy their sizing range has been a Godsend. Before I was almost exclusively shopping at Uniqlo because it was one of the few brands that fit me. It's nice to have a bit of variety. Having said that, due to the pricing of their items I still only shop there occasionally and I'm not sure I'd shop at Abercrombie much if I was a taller guy with more options available to me.
True, I like their hoodies but I mainly shop there for their pants, one of the only places that sell a 28 inseam.
As a shorter guy I recommend checking out women’s pants. I’m a 28x28 and can almost always find my waist size and inseam length. I’m really into high waist and wide leg pants so I have the 90s loose high rise in cream and black and the Sloan pant in Black and Navy. I’m always getting compliments on them. Check ‘‘em out.
@@TristanDuverglas do you notice a difference between how women and men’s pants are built ?
@@moisesibarra na I don’t. I feel like quality is dependent on the brand. Like H&M vs. Abercrombie. One is quality (AF) the other not so much. Everything fits the way I needed to tho. I also have a pair of women’s wide leg pleated pants from Uniqlo. They were long begin with so I got them hemmed in-store but the women’s S fit great.
Did you get the regular or long length in their shirts?
Ok pub golf.... Let's get that planned haha! Also, I'm literally exactly the same, i'm always saying everything is too long 😂! Great vid brother!
Hahahaha. I’ll keep the polo for that then. Cheers mate
May I know what is the black trousers in the first outfits? It looks pretty nice!
Love this video, such good honest review! One thing I'd always be interested to see is an overview of the ethics of the brand, such as sustainability and working conditions. Hopefully people are starting to pay more attention to how and where their clothing is made - and not just fast fashion brands, but high-end and designer clothing too! Abercrombie, for example, have a pretty poor reputation when it comes to their environmental record and treatment of workers. Would love to see this topic become a part of the conversation with any new clothing brand or style.
It’s like finding a needle in a haystack these days where there are actually ethical brands. Of course there are plenty but the majority aren’t.
@@HarryHas ah that's a shame, hopefully public awareness will grow and start to influence the behaviour of the brands themselves. Great video as always!
It’s great to see you review a brand I discovered recently and fell absolutely in love. I do feel that you might have different opinions if you had ordered everything in the size small. I’m 6’1, 32 inch waist and medium fits slightly lose on my 190 lb ish frame. I even had to get the size small in some of their oversized pieces. Great video!
Thanks man. Yes, you might be right, however if the brand are designing their pieces that was for my size, then it’s just not really the style for me and I’ll shop elsewhere. Glad they work for you though
I personally really like the t-shirt, theyve held up for me and the single stich is a nice detail, one thing to note is they seem to change the manufacturer quite often as all the t shirts ive ordered are completely different in material and fit.
Yes, I noticed that. Not a fan when brands do that and something I should have mentioned looking back
I know you have mentioned them before, but what are the pants at the beginning?
For a brand you can stop by most malls and pickup for an okay price their clothing is honestly pretty good. Comparing retail to online only brands is tough since there's many fantastic niche brands. (but you'll have to put more effort in finding them and shipping back clothing ect)
Great video Harry! I’m not sure I completely agree with you, but I’m glad to hear your opinion on Abercrombie. I’ll have to look out for some of those things next time I buy from them.
Thank you dude
How does the athletic strait compare to weekdays Barrel relaxed taper?
Harry, you mentioned in one of your videos that you have big thighs and a small waist which often is a big problem while selecting pants. I have the same problem, could you please tell me where to get the perfect fitting trousers (black particularly).
Great video, Harry. I was wondering, which are the black pants you are wearing throughout the video?
Thank you. They are from Issey Miyake
Nice video man! Very interesting to hear your perspective. I like Abercrombie a lot, and I got their popover hoodie and it’s probably my favorite hoodie ever. Love the oversized feel. And yeah I agree they did intend for it to be oversized. I love it tho!
I prefer my hoodie from Picante. It’s not as soft but it’s relaxed and not as long. It’s double the price though. Glad you liked the video mate
@@HarryHas nice. I’ll have to check that out!
What trousers are those in the beginning?
I personally love Abercrombie at the moment - however I agree with your comment about sizing. I have found that ordering a size down doesn't alter the fit on the body but the length is definitely better. So you do have to order a few sizes to get the right fit for you. I have some hoodies in medium which fit great, but also in small.
I used to love wearing a& f in the 2000s! Thought for sure they were headed in the wrong direction.. glad to hear they’re turning it around.
I feel like they are duping people. All the old classic clothes were nice quality and lasted a long time....
Another great video and I agree the shorts were the best! In my opinion Abercrombie quality and options were much better years back but as time went by the quality decreased and I found less items I wanted to buy...after your video I will take another glance and see what I think as well. Cheers Harry!
Thanks for watching bro
Hey, first of all I love your videos. I think the signet ring you're wearing in this video is really cool. Where do you have it from?
More than likely from Serge Denimes. Thanks
hello Harry, what are the socks you’re wearing with your grey common projects in the footage related to the linen shorts? 8:17
They are from Garment Project
Brother I love you black long pants, where did you buy it
I really like your way of talking about sizes and how pieces are too long or too large, it's very interesting. Also very good to know that Abercrombie fits bigger than your real size
🙏🤟
Good info on the t-shirts - I have been literally contemplating making an order (which has to be $90+ for free shipping) and I thought about adding their essentials tee. I might still purchase it but it’s gonna have to be an undershirt if it’s that long.
It feels like it could shrink in the wash so you might be ok. You can always cut it too or tick it I suppose
Thank you for this content! Any other brands that are attempting to capture this quasi-Aime Leon Dore wave? COS is really cool like you mentioned, but price-point is way different state-side I believe, especially because A&F runs lots of discount codes online
Thanks mate. I’ll do some videos about other brands. It’s hard to find decent stuff for an affordable price though. You normally have to pay a bit more to get anything worth buying
whats that watch brand u are wearing mate? looks casio
Love the video ❤️
Does someone know which trousers he is wearing while reviewing the tops?
Thank you. They are from Issey Miyake.
bro is on onto that real good stuff now 🔥
where are his black pants from?
When I moved to America 20 years ago it was a very popular brand, and it was also having a moment in the UK. My nieces who were teenagers at the time would always get a haul of sale stuff whenever they visited. The clothes have definitely changed because they used to be tiny. An XL would fit a medium (they were called muscle shirts because I guess they were supposed to be worn tight. There's an Abercrombie in my local mall (and most malls in the USA) so the beauty of that is being able to go into the store and try stuff on. I'm tempted to go and check it out again soon. Cheers for the video, great content as usual. About 10 years ago it was considered a kiddie/teenage brand, however recently their look is more mature and less overly branded. I'm a little stockier than yourself so the boxier fits will probably work well. As for the length, that doesn't bother me too much as often my clothes will shrink a couple of inches in length in the wash.
Thank you very much. Yes, they were fairly popular with some people when I was at school. They were never a brand I was into. Maybe they went too far the other way and will fine tune their sizing in the coming years
@@HarryHas the boxier fits would probably work in my favor, however seen as they have different length options they should do the same with width eg regular, boxy and slim fitting options.
it's a shame their tops tend to have an oddly long fit. I have the hoodie you tried on though and when folded at the bottom fits me perfect. It's also my softest hoodie at the moment and I can't wait to come back to it after summer ends. Cheers for the video, now I'm interested in their linen shorts!
Yes, when folded it looks better but I don’t want to keep folding my hoodie. I want it to sit in place. It’s very soft though
It’s not “oddly long”. It’s the length the vast majority of guys like their shirts to be at
Fire video per usual mate 🔥
Thank you very much bro
Bro I've been watching you for a couple of years now, and your videos, especially the ones on sneakers, have really helped me step up my style. I had been occupied for a few weeks when all of a sudden your video appeared, and when I saw your haircut, I was Wow. Your hairstyle looks soo good. I was considering this type of middle part hairstyle because I have very long hair. Please create a video showing the hairstyle and giving the instructions you provided the barber, or post a photo to Instagram that includes all sides so that I may show my barber.
Thanks mate. I recently grew it out again and loving the longer look. I’ll do a video on it
I have the black version of pleated trousers in 32 length. They were a bit too long as I wanted a cropped look as well. I got an inch taken off at alterations and now they are perfectly cropped to last through style changes over the years.
I think that would be the best way to go. I really didn’t like the shape of the 30 on me. Hopefully they hold up well for you
Not sure how, but pretty sure you should buy size large for your tops for a better fit. Perhaps the length won't change much. To me A&F size L is identical to size L of most brands and not longer at all.
Everything fits your perfect! I’m sure it’s not what your used to or like, but flowy is in and you look 10/10.
What pants did you have at the beginning of the video when trying on shirts? I’m looking for something just like that!
They are from Issey Miyake. I love them but the exact model isn’t available at the moment sadly. I want another pair in a dark grey with the same fit
@@HarryHas do you know of anyone else doing that pleated look at a lower price? Specifically I was looking at the pleated hoodie from them because it looks so unique and fashionable but they are very expensive and I only saw that brand. Places like Amazon and shein sell them too but I want something that is actually quality
@@briancunningham_21 personally, I wouldn’t buy a knock off of these trousers. I doubt they will hold up well. I know Zara did some at one point but I would just buy a pair of regular black trousers with a similar fit from Cos or something
@@HarryHas ahh okay gotcha. Thanks for the tip, hopefully a reputable brand or a good deal on the real thing will come along soon. Love the videos man, keep it up.
i appreciate reviews like this. i recently have been noticing the resurgence in their popularity. but as someone with a short torso i may have to skip their tops. great work as always Harry!
Thanks a lot mate. Thanks for watching
is that a casio with stainless steel mesh band?
Could you do a review of Banana Republic? I have been looking at some of their stuff but I am not sure wether it’s worth investing in their clothes as some items are a bit pricey.
I would probably say it’s probably ok for the odd piece but I wouldn’t invest in their pieces
Perfect video! Can u do more brand reviews! Thx!
Glad you liked it. I will be doing more 🤟
Great video, Harry - again. I'm curious: Who are your favorite female fashion influencers/bloggers/celebs?
I don’t follow a lot of female fashion influencers I’m afraid. To be honest, I don’t follow many fashion influencers in general. I watch a lot of non fashion related content on RUclips
What brand of black pants are you wearing in this video? They are awesome!
They are from Issey Miyake
@@HarryHas Thank you, Harry ))
What size did you go for the shorts ?
Medium
You gotta try the loose fit double knee jeans they have, I have the black pair in a 30 x 34 (Im 6'1) and they are my favorite pair of jeans ive ever bought
They look cool but not really my style. Glad they work for you though bro
Saw a sale, took a chance at the brand and I too can confidently say I won’t go anywhere else but Abercrombie for my shorts. They’re seriously great quality across the 3 different shorts types I tried
I tuck in a lot of my shirts from them so I dont notice the length issue
Not too harsh at all. Sincere and sensible review. I wish you would do brand videos like this for some slightly higher end brands, especially Rag & Bone! But as always, thoroughly enjoyable 10 minutes. Thanks, Harry!
I would love to do some more brand reviews for higher end brands. I would probably end up liking and keeping a lot more products from better brands though and that’s gonna take a beating on the wallet haha.
@@HarryHas Which leads to another video idea...."How To Build a Higher End Wardrobe By Only Shopping Sales!" :)
I think that polo looks really good on you when it's tucked in!
I just bought the Popover hoodie like 2 days before your video, I wanted an oversize fit so almost bought L (I wear M usually), but the model was 185cm (10 more than me) and it looked quite oversized on him already, I just went with M instead. Hopefully the fit is like I expected but yeah, their clothes are bigger than the usual
You can always exchange it if not but you should be good if you like an oversized fit bro
@@HarryHas Good to know, thanks man!
you looked great in the tucked polo look my guy!
I’ve been liking their style I just wanted to know how the quality was
thanks for the honest review👍
🤟
I got the essential tee, the neck was so long it looked like turtle neck, instantly returned 😂, I do like the linen camp collar shirt I got tho!
I have a suede bomber from them and its really nice. It's a little too long but it's nothing bad.
always love your humor and video😂 btw do you think the boxy and oversized fashion will be timeless or will it be temporary?
this abercrombie fits will be a long dress on short me for sure🤣
It’s definitely a style that’s on trend right now but if it works for you and you like it then no reason to stop wearing it
personally abercombrie fits me very well. i tend to like oversized tops and the length is just right for me
Great video mate, I think that everything you said is constructive criticism, they for sure have some hidden gems but i agree on what you said at the end.
Hope you can do a Zara video in the future, more specifically of the Zara Origins collection. I have some very nice pieces and the quality is superior to the "Normal" Zara line. Have a lovely weekend!
I’ve heard Zara have upped their game. They still have a long way to go but I’ve not tried anything from them in years
Have a great weekend yourself
Best t shirt? I need a good base which isn’t blocky and isn’t long. The sleeves should be above elbow
Video idea: Tops that have a bit of a crop. the opposite of abercrombie basically
Where are the black pants from?
Issey Miyake
That "Short sleeve" shirt looks like their take on a guayabera shirt which is popular traditional shirt in places like the Yucatán peninsula and Cuba. Since guayaberas are designed for hot weather they are a little boxy for better air flow so sweat isn't trapped.
Dude what are those black pants you wear throughout the video??
I'm pretty sure they are Issey Miyake pleat trousers. Very nice but way out of my budget
Try the longer button up shirts with shorts. Looks a lot better with the proportions
But the pants where those from?
which brands do shorter hoodies?
Not many for around the same price. You have to pay more to get something decent with a decent fit
The polos are meant to be tucked, thats why they are long. I do agree they need some shorter versions. The tucked sweater polo with the black pants was a dope look though, you should experiment with it more maybe. Anyways greet vid
Would make sense. I find a heavier knit top like that not great for tucking in. I would want something more lightweight. I don’t think the look is bad but it’s just not my style or what I’m going for. Thanks though bro
Got a couple pieces from them and while they have some cool stuff, the quality is kinda iffy. Their pieces look good at first but start to lose their form after a couple wears/washes. Their chinos started to fade after less than a year and the oxford button down shrunk and the fabric started weirdly pilling. I do have a camp collar button down that's really soft and actually really nice and has held up. So maybe it just depends what you get from them.
Yeah, it’s the same with a lot of these mid-more affordable brands. They are very hit or miss.
I actually like that the shirts from Abercrombie are more on the long side. If length is a complaint, I'm sure after a wash and dry it'll be the right length for most people.
Wish you’d have reviewed their Pull-On Pleated Pant
bro's looking stacked! workout vids anytime soon?
When did you get your last haircut? Hair looking sick!
Thanks mate. I’ve been growing it out slowly with cuts in between. Staying around this length now though and just having it tidied up every 6-8 weeks
I’ve had the same problem with them. Got some knitted jumpers from them and they’re too long in the body. I think that’s their attempt of being ‘OvErsIzEd’
Maybe you are right. It’s frustrating as you end up sending a lot back
Thanks for this video, Harry! I agree, the last t-shirt I bought from Abercrombie was great... except it was too long.
Also, your hair's looking great, man!
Thanks for watching mate. Maybe a size down would fix that but I generally don’t like sizing down as it’s smaller all over. Thank you very much. I really like the hair at the moment too
What pants is he wearing in the beginning? It ribbed
I started working at Abercrombie in December. Get a nice percentage off of the clothes but I will say slot of its overpriced. I also crop half of the tops bc they are long and I size down on the graphic tees
I have a couple of things from them because they go on sale quite often. Their t-shirts are very soft and some of them do feel misshapen either very odd dimensions overall or just very long. That being said, I've had a couple of them shrink like crazy - one t-shirt I had lost 2 inches of length in the wash.
I would welcome some shrinkage on the length on their tops 😂
@@HarryHas Same!
I bought quite a few pieces last summer and they all looked really rough after a few washes. Specifically the t shirt just like you expected lmao
That’s a shame. Especially since it isn’t cheap
I love their black athletic slim stretch jeans and super soft muscle Ts. That's like 90% of my casual clothes. I just add some J.Crew chinos and button downs for a bit more dressy occasions.
Oh and Abercrombie's Fierce is my favorite fragrance. :D
im based in dubai and abercrombie and finch is not only crazy expensive for the basic collection but also available in two locations both a million miles away from where i live. i guess i need to save up
