i always got soggy vegetables before trying your technique, now my bok choy is always crispy! thank you :) the high heat and salting after cooking made my dishes next level
Yeah , I also noticed the cute garlic peeling operation , super cool and easy :-) , thanks for posting , a really simple recipe that even us guys can cope with , you truly are an angel :-)
it depends on what are h using if u use wok, u should wait for the wok to get hot enough and add oil to make your wok nonstick , if not, it will be sticky sth . just use a non stick pan or non stick wok not the iron wok , if u want to heat it with the oil
I concur!!! Gotta have those veggies!!! Great video. Just picked up some baby bok choy at my local Asian market and needed a recipe!!! I am having fish, too! Thank you!!!!
Made this for dinner tonight, was a big hit with my fiance who is Taiwanese. Your videos are so helpful especially for a peruvian cook like me who has no clue how to make Taiwanese dishes. Thanks Angel!
Hi Angel, Not only I enjoy watching your Channel, I love your beautiful kitchen !!! You have such a incredible artistic sense I can see thru out the background in your kitchen, you are very much in control in demonstration in cooking, making everything look very easy and delicious. I love your professional looking stove that has burner you can set your wok. What is the manufacturer? Could you let me know about it with your little in put?
Thank you for the recipe. But, I would really love to know where you got your gas stove. Complete with a wok burner. Fabulous!!! I would love to have one in my house. Cheers.
Not flirting, but you are gorgeous! I had to try to cook this since it was a wonderful side dish at a Korean restaurant I tried. I use a carbon steel wok and this comes out as good as the restaurant! There are other complicated recipes online but this is all you need. Thanks!
Thank you so much!! My hubby just started eating bok choy so now we can try this. I honestly had no idea how to cook it so, thanks for this easy recipe.
I know it's kinda late to try but I tried it. I don't like greens that much & I tried the exact method but added a bit of teriyaki sauce and omg I'm in love 😍 ty for this recipe!
Kamalika Jeevika Selvi I'm so glad you tried it! It's great for people who don't like veggies that much. I'll have to experiment and add some teriyaki sauce next time. :)
mike knite Any pan will work as long as it's suitable for cooking over high-heat. If I didn't use my wok, my second choice would be a stainless steel pan.
Hi Angel!! First of all I love your channel and all the great tips and delicious recipes!! And today I have a question what's the brand of your range ( stove) I love the wok insert on it! Thank you and cheers
Curious about the type of oil to use in a high heat stir fry..?? Your can of oil looks like avocado or a nut oil..?? Great video going to add this dish to my repertoire w salmon or poached chicken..
Hi Angel stumbled into your channel and falling in love with your videos :) Love your contemporary kitchen with the beautiful green tree behind the glass window :) Super organized videos making it easy to understand :) A small request can you post a recipe of baby bok choy and shitake mushroom cooked together with a flavorful sauce. I ate this dish in some asian restaurant and loved it. Hope you will post a recipe of it wen you find some time.
I think if you have already put the vegetables in the pan like she showed, any splatter would splatter up onto the vegetables, shielding you from most of any splatter.
my wife and I love fresh bok choy and lots of garlic. I'm definitely going to get some and maybe stir fry in some fresh shrimp, yummy.
Thank you for this simple but delicious recipe! Made it last night and loved it!
Omg! What was that magical garlic tube?
Thank you for sharing. I made this dish for my wife today. Delicious!
I was wondering what that was. I have never seen one before. I must have!
Thankyou. I love really simple recipes like this as you really enjoy the flavour of the bok choy.
Video was very well done. Clear and crisp as the bok choy!
These are really organized and easy to follow videos!
Made this tonight very easy. I don’t have a wok. I did it on sauté mode in my instapot. Worked well.
Cooking recipe starts at 1:30.
Thanks
i always got soggy vegetables before trying your technique, now my bok choy is always crispy! thank you :) the high heat and salting after cooking made my dishes next level
Heyishi Zhang You're welcome! You can also use this technique for other veggies too. :)
I made it and it is delicious , thanks for sharing
Nice video and so easy to make! Thank you!
Angel, you're an angel! I'm going to try this today. I just bought some fresh bok choy today from the farmers market!
So easy and so yummy! Thank you!
Yeah , I also noticed the cute garlic peeling operation , super cool and easy :-) , thanks for posting , a really simple recipe that even us guys can cope with , you truly are an angel :-)
I would cook the garlic in the oil starting at cold, and then bring the oil up to temp with the garlic. The oil and garlic will taste much better.
agreed
brandon: thx for this tip. worth $$$$$$
Good idea. Although usually when cooking with oil I give it a slight head start before adding any ingredients.
Only thing is be careful how small your garlic is. When you crank the heat, it will burn before the bok choy is crispy
it depends on what are h using
if u use wok, u should wait for the wok to get hot enough and add oil to make your wok nonstick , if not, it will be sticky sth .
just use a non stick pan or non stick wok not the iron wok , if u want to heat it with the oil
Looks fantastic thanks for sharing
