    my wife and I love fresh bok choy and lots of garlic. I'm definitely going to get some and maybe stir fry in some fresh shrimp, yummy.

    Made this tonight very easy. I don’t have a wok. I did it on sauté mode in my instapot. Worked well.

    I would cook the garlic in the oil starting at cold, and then bring the oil up to temp with the garlic. The oil and garlic will taste much better.

      Good idea. Although usually when cooking with oil I give it a slight head start before adding any ingredients.

      Only thing is be careful how small your garlic is. When you crank the heat, it will burn before the bok choy is crispy

      it depends on what are h using
      if u use wok, u should wait for the wok to get hot enough and add oil to make your wok nonstick , if not, it will be sticky sth .
      just use a non stick pan or non stick wok not the iron wok , if u want to heat it with the oil

    Not flirting, but you are gorgeous! I had to try to cook this since it was a wonderful side dish at a Korean restaurant I tried. I use a carbon steel wok and this comes out as good as the restaurant! There are other complicated recipes online but this is all you need. Thanks!

    i combined cabbage / bok choy and cooked brussel sprouts / in layers . cooked separately for this purpose . made a great presentation.

    I know it's kinda late to try but I tried it. I don't like greens that much & I tried the exact method but added a bit of teriyaki sauce and omg I'm in love 😍 ty for this recipe!

      mike knite Any pan will work as long as it's suitable for cooking over high-heat. If I didn't use my wok, my second choice would be a stainless steel pan.

      +Jacky Nyamwanda I think I was using grape seed oil, but any oil that stands up to high heat will also work too.

      well 3 years later, did it turn brown? if not it's not carbon steel or cast iron.

    pro tip: when u add water to hot oil, be ready with a lid so that you don't get splattered with the hot oil

      I think if you have already put the vegetables in the pan like she showed, any splatter would splatter up onto the vegetables, shielding you from most of any splatter.
