I remember you filming cars at dealerships and then getting a better camera all the way to buying the Charger and getting married. Now this and your house, it's been a journey and I'm very glad for you. Keep the great work!!

    I did a frame off restoration on a 66 Short bed Chevy PU back in the day when I was about your age. Your vids brings back a lot of fun memories. It's is such a satisfying feeling when you put the new hardware back together when it's all shiny and new. There was no such thing as YT back then, haha! hell the internet hadn't even been invented yet. Your doing it right by getting sponsors, good luck, I look forward to seeing how this S10 comes out in the end.

    Blazer bumper would be a nice touch, it would still look oem but be something different. Also you should look into an explorer 8.8 rear end it’s a common s10 upgrade and will give you disc rear brakes and a stronger rear axle.

  • @JoseRivera-ym3wj

    If you were to want some more payload capacity, I'd say add a leaf from the factory spring you removed to the lowering leaf springs. There is the issue that it will obviously add some height, but I think you can handle that one way or another.
    As for the swap, will you keep it carbed, or will you go with fuel injection, either through TBI or port injection?

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  5 лет назад

      I thought about that when I was installing the springs. If anything, maybe adding the lower spring, I think maybe that is what's called the helper spring, I'm not sure. I don't plan on carrying anything meaningful in this truck, but the option is always there, especially if the rear end ends up being too low after the 350 swap. I'm sticking with a 650 cfm carb. I've owned many older vehicles with carbs so I'm used to them. I want to be as simple as possible with this truck.

      Could've fooled anyone with that comment though. My channel is over 11 years old, times change, RUclips changes, an algorithm dictates how everything is. It would take too long to explain everything in comment, but don't take everything as face value. Yeah, I have a lot of subscribers, but it means nothing. It's all about how your videos get pushed to others via the algorithm. Some people play it better than others. I focus more on my content than the numbers and strategy and maybe that hurts me, but I enjoy it more. As far as the car reviews, there's no right way of going about it. My style is/was enjoyed by many. Not everyone has to go things the exact same way. It worked for me and that's all that matters. I'm burned out on car reviews. I'd rather get less views if it means doing something more enjoyable.

      They install the bolt that way for a reason. So if you get in a T-bone accident, the end of the bolt won't puncture the fuel tank causing a fire.

      @@saabkyle04 Thanks man, I appreciate it, Once I'm done with my 84 Blazer I'm going to start tearing my 95 S10 apart to do a 350 swap on it 🤗

    From what I've seen on s10forums.com, swapping a rear sway bar on a truck that didn't come with one requires cutting off a mounts from a truck that did have a sway bar and welding or bolting them into your frame. Looks like that beltech bar is a straight up bolt on? Do you have a link to buy it?

    You should swap out the front grille for one off of a 91-93 S10.

      I have REALLY thought about that. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I'll have to change out core supports, that's the big issue. I'm leaning toward sticking with an OE style grille to keep it period correct. We'll see 👍
