This works well to repel squirrels, but in hot climates with rainy or humid weather, the nuts or suet nuts gets moldy and food needs to be changed out. I never fill mine all the way to the top. I only fill it to just above the wire portion.
Thanks for sharing this. Here the food doesn't last that long so we've never experienced anything of the kind. This model comes with meshes of two sizes - please try various types of food to see if that will solve the spoilage problem. Keep us posted, please!

Good feeder but the mini clogs up soon as it rains and won't drop seed to feed bottom tray
