I've literally waited 3 years for this, not even believing I would even get a Sonia Battle theme. This is beautiful!

@@Harinaaa_ The theme was already revealed months prior to the game's release. (More 2 years and half ago)
Game Freak screwed us out of the original, and DeNA said: “Fine, we’ll do it ourselves”

She is worth getting and EXing! Fantastic support character, great healer and boosts attack for good tempo.

I was never expecting to say that Sonia may have one of the best themes in a Pokemon game

Shs has the best encounter theme on Sword and Shield.
You said it! Sonia has a really poppy-sounding encounter theme in Sword and Shield, so it's such a pleasant surprise to see her finally get a proper battle theme based on it in Masters EX, and it sounds amazing!
Interesting to note is that the two main components of this song use parts of Sonia's overworld theme (obviously), and more curiously, Marnie's leitmotif. Whether that's meant to imply something or was simply because the composer liked the sound of it is up to interpretation.
Come to think of it, those two characters never met or interacted did they?

She's probably the Marnie version between pairs, leon, and raihon
they're totally best friends who act like sisters.
The theme you think is Marnie’s is actually still part of Sonia’s overworld theme
I think the composer for this had a really good idea to make this slap as hard as possible

fun fact: sonia was actually a pretty good trainer back in her youth she just dropped out of the gym challenge from a combination of losing interest in battles and false accusations against her she made it to the six gym before losing

Well, back when Sonia and Leon were trainers, Sonia was stronger than Leon.
I've never played Masters, but I loved Sonia in Sword and Shield and I'm so chuffed that she finally got her own battle theme, she deserves it!

I love how it uses her character theme from throughout the game 😍 It’s always been one of my favorite tracks-whenever Sonia comes on screen, I always linger on the last dialogue box so I can enjoy it for longer 😂 It’s so satisfying to hear it elevated in her battle theme!

@@luisfillipebeserra2108 being truthful, the poorly timed Wolf howls in the real battle theme in SwSh ruined the track. And that track used the howls heavily.
