Also, this theme is probably the only Sword/Shield theme to make it to my top 10 (out of almost 40 standout songs) that isn’t a battle theme. If you noticed “40 standout songs”, yes I love the Sword/Shield soundtrack so much that I can’t stop listening to it. Nothing beats the entire soundtrack (save for a few champion themes better than Sword/Shield’s and the Wild, Trainer, and Eternatus Phase 2 themes just being lame). I play Marnie’s, Hop’s, Bede’s, Gym Leaders’, Oleana’s, Rose’s, Legendaries’, Sonia’s, and most city and overworld themes repeatedly each day.
Lowkey a lot of themes in Sw/Sh slap. Gameplay, Story and Animations in this game might be a huge flop for me, let alone the whole dexit fiasco, but at least the music has managed to win me over.

If you watch football, or any other sport, do you cheer for your favorite team? If so, then you're being hypocritical. People get into the whole match and want somebody to win, so therefore they'll cheer for that person or team, hoping it'll motivate them to win.

Carnalval Finally got a switch and pokemon shield on thursday and I instantly knew I would like her character as a fellow 20 year old trying to be useful. Just met her again on route 3 hope she gets a lot of character development.
Apart from her looks, I like how she starts out as an aimless twenty-something who feels like she's getting dragged around by her gran until she realizes that her gran sent her out so she could get her zest for adventure back. When you finally see her with the lab coat, that's how you know that her arc has culminated and she's found a new appreciation for Pokemon again. Also her theme slaps.
The drum line of this song makes it feel like a mid-late 2000’s R&B song, which is probably what Sonia listened to in her youth. I love that kind of personality input into soundtracks, and Pokemon SwSh does that a lot!
Think about it. Sonia and Leon went on a journey similar to Red and Blue. Sonia, the daughter of a professor, and her rival, Leon, decided to take on the pokemon league. Sonia lost every time aginst Leon, while Leon became the champion. And best thing of all is, is that Leon has a charizard as his Pokemon. Leon is basically those kids that won the championships, all grown up.
I can already see the videos in my recommended "Gen 8 hit different" Just like how people loved to bash on Gen 5 and Unova lovers started popping up all of a sudden, this'll probably be very similar. Kinda excited for it.

Absolutely one of my favorite pieces of music in the game. A solid soundtrack all-around, but this one is a real standout for me.
Theory
She's actually from Kalos, this theme is so Kalos more than anything else in Galar and she only uses a yamper, an electric type and what's Kalos famous for? It's electricity. Might be reading into it too deep but wouldn't surprise me if there's a Kalos theme going on. Plus her whole manor just reminds me of Shauna as well...
You might be on to something. Her being from Kalos and her eccentric personalty adds to this.
